The Mother (2023)

This why I start watching movies without reviews

This sis exactly the reason why I don't go to reviews the way I use to. I saw this and just decided to give it a shot . First thing I noticed is, the movie is beautiful, the scenery are gorgeous. Everything looks so crisp. J-lo looks great as usual, it she did a good job pulling off the role of a killer. The acting was good enough to make it a decent action movie. It is not going to win any awards, but I don't think anyone involved in this project was shooting for that. This is just a solid action movie. I absolutely enjoyed the story. I guess it's because I feel the pain of the child and the mother.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix (2019)

The movie was something I have been wanted to see for a while. Love the story line. One of my biggest complaint about this movie is the main character, Jean Gray. The actress the play her is not suitable for the role. But, this is one of the better of the x-men series. The graphics are top notch, most the acting are really believable. For a long time I could not tell exactly what it was that made the movie feel lacking. Now I know what I wish was different. All the x-men movies lack relatability, one does not feel any real connection to the characters. Unlike the the marvel movies, these movies feel like the superheroes are just all about their powers.

This show is absolutely in a category of a minority of tv show. GOT, TWD, the wire jus to name a few shows that has impressed me. Maybe I am bias because of being such a fan of the game.

I am a sucker for a great story, but add great characters, top notch acting and visuals. How can this not be a masterpiece.

So far I have only watched the first two episodes. After seeing the first episode I knew I would be hooked. The second episode came out last Sunday and it's a wrap, for me.

I believe anyone can appreciate this show. The story is not original. What's original is the way it is told. Because I know something about the story and these characters. It's hard not to want to spoil some things. But I won't. Thank you Naughty Dog and HBO for doing us right.

Avatar (2009)

Definitely great. A must see

I just left the movies so it's still fresh in my mind. If you are a fan of the first movie you will love this one. If you didn't see the first one, you need to see it to get a full understanding of what's happening and why. First let's get the visuals out they way, definitely top notch. But I am sure everyone knew and expected that. Thee story is great, every character is memorable. I believe the kids carry the emotional weight of the story. There were a few time I was shocked. I won't give anything away, but I can definitely tell this, there is a WAR coming. And it will be brutal. There are some lines that, once crossed, death is the only remedy.

Nope (2022)

This is by far one of the worse movie I have ever sit down and watch. I don't even know how to explain why it was so horrible. Most horrible movies have at the very least something about them that one can find something to like. In the case of this one, nothing was good. The story was confusing, there is nothing beautiful to look at. It is as if some child made this for a school project.

What was the budget for this ? A dollar ? I could have done better with an iPhone. I was really trying to like it, simply because I like the two main characters.

I could not believe it was so bad. How in the world did this get an ok review. This is what happen when we want to be supportive to people rather than being honest. The movie did not even have potential.

Inheritance (I) (2020)

Very entertaining and beautiful to look at. It is somewhat predictable, but not to the point that you'll know what's going to happen before it does. I was hooked from the first few minutes. Not one of those movies that you can just play in the background and still keep up, if you don't pay attention it will loose you. The main character is definitely someone I will keep an eye on. She played the role so perfectly, I believe her, it felt real. As for the cinematography, I definitely love it. I don't understand how this could get so much low reviews. Is a movie I would watch again, maybe. But it's definitely one I would recommend.

Wind River (2017)

One brutal story telling for a brutal story. When will some men ever learn. Great action, great acting and amazing visuals. As of late, I find it hard to like many movies. Guess as I get older most movies are too silly. This is not one to miss. The pacing of the movie kept one's attention the entire time, but not so fast that you wonder what you just missed. The fact that this movie was based on a true story made it gut wrenching.

What else can I say, but see it for yourself. It is difficult to watch a movie like this and not care as to what happen to these people lives. This story needed to be told.

The Gray Man (2022)

A really solid action flick

Highly entertaining. Not many movies I can say I would watch a second time. This is definitely one. The characters are interesting and fun to follow. The screenshot were delicious. And the pace of thie action with the story was perfect.

If you have been following the MCU, especially if you watched Wanda Vision, then this will make perfect sense. It's dark, sometimes scary and serious. There are not many movies that I would like to own, but this is one.

Molly's Game (2017)

One of the best movie I've ever seen. I have been ignoring this movie for a long time, thinking it would be crap or slow. This was paced so perfect that one could not stop watching or listening. If every movie was like that I would be an addict.

The Tinder Swindler (2022)

An eye opener

When I started watching, didn't really expect much. After about five to ten minutes in, I taught these women got what they deserve. That taught was quickly replace, these were not gold diggers, these were women that we're drawn in by a fairy tale love story. This guy is heartless. Wats really sad is, these women will never be able to open up like that again.

Mirage (2018)

Touching, Wholesome, great drama

This movie got me the first time I saw it. Fell in love instantly. Beautiful scenery and beautiful people. The acting was believable and made me care about the people. Even the kids were great. I watched it a second time because I was confused about a few plot, so glad I did.

Bruised (2020)

Pretty darn good

I avoided watching this because I just felt it would be same joke. Holly Berry as a fighter ? But I was wrong, so wrong. The story was good, the acting was good and the pacing was great. It's definitely encouraging if you appreciate mix martial arts. I could have done without the relationship, but I guess that add to the drama. But it's alway amazing to see how a life that should have been destroyed can come back and claim redemption.

Without Remorse (II) (2021)

Entertaining

Action pack from start to finish. The story was average but the action on all the actors were brilliant. The cinematography and sound effect was great. I felt every bullet. And Micheal B Jordan was great as I expected. You can tell the movie was high budget and big production. What more could I want from an action flic. The only downside to this movie was the story was predictable to some degree. As with most movie that focus on visuals and action to entertain. Overall, this was worth it, I'll probably watch it again.

Shadow and Bone (2021–2023)

Absolutely amazing

I had no idea about the books. Now I want to read them. I watched the entire season in one day, then the next day I started it again. It's so hard to watch mediocre shows after seeing something like this. Like watching GOT. This is just pure magical. I can tell they invested a lot of money into this show.

Coming 2 America (2021)

I am glad I didn't have to high if an expectation. The movie had some very nice moments that brings back old memories. A few really good laughs. Where it fell short of the original is, it did not have the authenticity of the original. The love story of the first one was what lit it on fire. But still a good watch if you are a fan of the first one.

The Last of Us: Part II (2020 Video Game)

This game done something I did not think was even possible in a video game. The first play through was so great I had to replay immediately to get a grip on what I just experienced. I realize what it was in the second play through, it wasn't just a video game, it was real life and real characters and real consequences. There were times I felt as if I actually just committed murder, I felt so guilty. But I could not stop

Cobra Kai (2018–2025)

I had to stop watching just to add my two cents. This is one of the best writing I've seen in a long time from a tv show. The humor is on point and not over the top. The story and characters are all so perfect. I was hesitant at first. Taught it would some teen crap. Not at all. Just pure genius.

Loving the Bad Man (2010)

The movie simply show something most people are incapable of doing. Forgive,,..I read some of the previous comment, heard why some gave it very low score. And it's because a person loved a very bad man. If you forgot, that very reason is why we love Jesus, I loved very bad men/women.

The Witcher (2019– )

Pure Joy

I am a huge fan of the games. Recently started reading the books. If you have no idea of the Witcher you can still enjoy this show. But, if you are a Witcher fan, you should have a blast watching it. Completely the entire season and rewatching it again, it came out yesterday. My only complaint is the clothing. Wish they had done a better job with Geralt Witcher gear. The Nilfguard uniform also could use some upgrading. The acting was amazing, the storytelling was superb the world of the Witcher is just as deadly and dangerous as it should be.

Captain Marvel (2019)

I love the way they tell her origin. How she got her powers. There is so much about the movie to love. But without giving anything away, I walked out the movies on a high. I could not have ask for anything better if CM.
