Lino Tagliapietra: The Making of a Maestro (2020)
The evolution of a legend
A fascinating documentary. It's a beautifully told story that shows a glimpse of the lifelong career of Lino. I recommend this documentary for all glassblowers, artists, and especially fans of Lino.
Schneeflöckchen (2017)
Definitely unexpected.. well done.
I didn't know what to expect from this movie. I watched it because one review compared it to a Quentin Tarantino type film. Hence, I had to see it. I really enjoyed it. It was well acted, gritty (with a sense of humor), unique, and all with a solid storyline. I enjoyed the characters and the underlying tone of revenge (I'm a sucker for these films, I can't lie).
This film is a one of those hidden gems. Just watch it.
Dragged Across Concrete (2018)
Unexpectedly excellent.. for the fans of grit.
I randomly chose this movie one night not knowing what I wanted to watch. I saw this movie, staring Vince Vaughn, and classified as a drama/action. After seeing Brawl in Cell Block 99 (fantastic movie), I thought it was worth a watch. Turns out, it was far better than expected. It was raw, dark, and well written. This is one of those movies that goes unnoticed because it's too dark. To me, these are gems in the rough. I recommend for those that like the gritty films.
6 Underground (2019)
Exactly what I expected.. but better
It was a Friday night.. I was looking for some action and comedy and this movie delivered. It's a Michael Bay film, meaning I expected a lot of explosions and fast paced cut scenes. As this may be true, it also has Ryan Reynolds and a combination of great actors/actresses that for their roles very well. I enjoyed the movie through and through. I would recommend!
