Marry Me (2022)
Guilty pleasure
It was what I needed to watch at the time. Only thing I didn't like was Fallon!
J. Lo is and will always be a stunner, and I personally love her as a lead in any rom com. I also loved some parts of the writing; particularly some of the dialogues were beautifully written and executed.
De Dana Dan (2009)
Hilarious
Like Hunky stud, I'm surprised at the low overall rating. It may be wise to follow google rating because it is much higher.
The film is funny from beginning to end. It will life your spirits, great songs, wonderful cast, beautiful pairing, namely, for me, Akshay and Katrina.
I have seen this movie four times and it is always entertaining.
Andhadhun (2018)
Wow!
Well done to Bollywood for this amazing piece, I was so happy to see the humor, thriller, just overall the rollercoaster ride. Excellent writing, brilliant delivery - Ayushmann has gained a new fan.
The Wedding Year (2019)
I loved it!
While some concepts of the storytelling is typical, it grabbed me on the not so typical dialogues. I was laughing throughout the movie, until of course, the sad bits. The chemistry between the leads were undeniable, they look great together. I really loved it, it is definitely worth a watch. Love the random but real dialogues.
Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi (2019)
Just WOW!
This was such a wonderful experience to sit and watch as the story unfolded, the visuals, sound effects, camera direction was impeccable. I went to support Queen Kangana and boy did she deliver! Such a talent, her look is fearless that you want to join her in the battle. The script was brilliantly written (in my opinion), dialogues were delivered with the right emotion and intent that it made a huge impact on me (the viewer). Lastly, the music & location, both beautiful and strong. Loved every song, felt like i was a kid again. I applaud Kangana, the cast & crew - thank you for such a wonderful movie! I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017)
Badrinath Ki Dulhania
Badrinath Ki Dulhania is the first Bollywood movie I went and watched at the Cinema's! It was definitely worth it.
A great movie, made me laugh, cry and think. I was looking forward to seeing this movie since watching Humpty Ki Sharma late last year. While Humpty is great in it's own way, Badrinath is more mature so expectations were definitely met.
The chemistry between Alia-Varun remain in tact and one of the core reasons for my purchasing the tickets. The script is fairly well written, the leads delivered the lines perfectly, the scenes, the long and close-up shots were done extremely well & at the right time. I especially liked the depth of anger and hurt displayed on Badrinath's face (you'll see it, red eyes and all), Varun is exceptional and camera works truly captured this using close-ups. Vaidehi's character, I didn't understand until towards the end, specifically, on the rooftop of a building in Singapore, Alia's delivery of one line, helped me to understand her character ... in turn, Badri's reaction is equally great. I was bouncing between who is right
The flaws that I saw in the movie, I think the timing of my favorite song 'humsafar' was wrong, it played too early ...for me, anyway, and Badri's father delivered very few lines and yet he had the most power over his family ..I think the actor that played Badri's father didn't do the best job - sorry! But very true!
I would definitely recommend this movie!! India is gorgeous, this movie shows that, also, loved that I heard 'samajhawan' music in one scene... best chemistry, Varun has a killer smile and Alia looked gorgeous- I think this is the most girly I have seen her! Can't wait for their next movie together.
Here's to the Vaidehis and Badrinaths of the world :)
Paheli (2005)
A beautiful love story
This movie was excellent, first movie to be probably be not influenced by Hollywood, I think that is one of the several things that made me want to see this movie. Excellent in all aspects and I hope to see Bollywood doing similar things in the future. Shah Rukh and Rani once again proved their work to be at the highest level of all celebrities. I own the DVD now and I watch every once in awhile, the dialogues were great, as is the scenery, the costumes, the screenplay, the songs and everyone in the movie. It definitely put a spell on me, such a beautiful love story. Amazingly portrayed, I would definitely read the book.
