The Wolfman (2010)
5/10
The special effects are here but the acting not so much
12 February 2010
Well a movie that features Anthony Hopkins, Hugo Weaving and Benicio Del Toro among the stars seems promising enough. The visual affects, scenery and make up all the set the stage. Plus the dark atmosphere really sets the mood for a good old fashioned werewolf movie. But you would be wrong. The acting fails to be on par with the nice visuals and make up. The story is average and the direction isn't great either. And at times the story is a bit cliché. Which, probably sounds redundant for a werewolf movie but it's cliché in ways outside of the werewolf genre. Surprisingly Hugo Weaving is the best actor in this sub par movie. The other actors look lost in comparison to him with the exception of Hopkins whose acting was good at times. Del Toro seems the most lost out of the main characters. He's good as a supporting actor but he doesn't have enough acting chops to be the lead character. Weaving's great acting isn't enough to save this movie. But if you're willing to see it for the werewolf horror story line you might want to save yourself some money and wait for the DVD or catch it on TV.

Awesome movie but don't expect to see an unofficial Departed sequel
14 October 2007
We Own The Night is a great crime drama. That's crime drama not crime action. Jame Gray does a great job directing this film. Gray should see some more directorial work very soon. He is one of the best underrated directors today. However don't come to the theater expecting to see an unofficial Departed sequel. You won't see it because this movie has a different style and flow. It's not as action packed as The Departed. This movie does not need a ton of action to hold your attention though. We Own The Night focuses on it's characters and their relationships in order to hold your attention. You will see some action but don't come into this movie expecting to see Die Hard or The Departed. If you come into the movie expecting to see a deep look into how characters deal with life changing events you will not be disappointed. Overall this movie deserves a solid 9.

The Simpsons: Bart Gets an F (1990)
Season 2, Episode 1
10/10
Awesome Episode
31 December 2006
Bart Gets an F is an awesome episode. This episode is one of many favorites like Bart The Daredevil, Deep Space Homer, The Computer Wore Menace Shoes, The City of New York vs. Homer Simpson and many others. In this episode Bart is constantly underachieving in school. Due to Bart's underachieving he is faced with the possibility of flunking the 4th grade and therefore having to repeat fourth grade. To pass fourth grade Bart must pass a history test. This is a great episode where you are on Bart's side and want to see him succeed. This episode also has some good dreamlike sequences and a song as well. So overall Bart Gets an F is an awesome early season 2 episode.

The Simpsons Rules
13 December 2006
I think The Simpsons is hilarious. The Simpsons has such an amazing amount of great characters. This show has been on the air since December 1989, and how many shows can say they have been as successful as The Simpons I'll tell you not many. This show is so awesome. It may not be as funny as it used to be but it's still great. There are so many great episodes like Deep Space Homer, The Treehouse of Horror Episodes, Cape Feare, and Rosebud just to name some. So there are way too many great episodes to count. So The Simpons are amazing and whenever this show does end it should be remembered as one of the best shows of all time. So this show easily gets an outstanding rating of 10 out of 10. Bravo.

So Funny
29 April 2006
Not everyone likes this movie but I see why. Its very stupid but oh so funny. I laugh a lot when I watch this movie because the lines are hysterical. Farley and Perry steal the show in this uproarious movie but all the actors have funny lines to dish out. Like these for example.

Higgins: THERE'S AN ANIMAL NOW! everyone except Edwards and Hunt starts firing at the animal Higgins: We can't kill it! We're all dead! God save us! Hunt: Hold your fire! Hold your fire! everyone stops firing. Hunt looks closely and sees that the animal is just a squirrel nibbling on a acorn. Hunt: It's only a squirrel. Pratt: He's got something in his hand! Guy Fontenot: Something in his hand! then they continue firing at the squirrel

Bidwell returns to camp after a bear has bit off his leg. Bidwell: Sir, I've been to hell and back. Edwards: Yes, I can see that... Bidwell: I suspect that you'll want to lead a hunting party to slay that terrible beast. Edwards: Well, yes, that thought did cross my mind briefly. But now I have a better idea. Bidwell: Yes, sir? Edwards: I shall fashion for you the finest wooden leg you've ever seen. Bidwell: But what about the bear? Edwards: Rest assured, Bidwell, in 20 years or so, the ravages of old age will deal with the bear far more cruelly than we ever could have. Bidwell: Revenge is sweet, sir.

So if you like movies that are stupid yet funny this is a great one to watch.

Its Amazing!
20 May 2005
The Star Wars saga continues in Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith. Episode III stars Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christen. In Episode III Anakin Skywalker goes to the dark side of the force and the continuing Clone Wars and the final fate of the Old Republic are revealed. Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith is an amazing movie with great special effects, acting and fight scenes. Two of the many amazing fight scenes are Anakin vs Obi-Wan and Obi Wan vs General Grievous. George Lucas has directed and written another masterpiece in Star Wars Episode III Revenge of The Sith. Star Wars Episode III is an amazing movie and a must see and I give it a 9 out of 10 which is the same rating I gave episodes I and II.

Adaptation. (2002)

Good for a sleeping pill
18 May 2005
Adaptation which was released in 2002 stars Nicolas Cage and Meryl Streep both of whom are great actors and Adaptation is also a drama comedy. Adaptation's plot is Charlie Kaufman (Cage) is a man who tries to adapt a book by Susan Orlean (Streep) into a movie. Adaptation was also directed by Spike Jonze. Jonze was also nominated for an Oscar for Being John Malkovich. Adaptation has been hailed by many critics and nominated for four Oscars. So far Adaptation sounds like a great movie but it isn't. In the end Adaptation turns out to be extremely boring. Great actors like Streep and Cage aren't enough to save this over rated Oscar winner which turns out to be a sleeping pill.

Feel the Force!
18 May 2005
Star Wars Episode II was released in 2002 and is a great edition to the Star Wars Saga. Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christen shine as the films stars although all the actors deliver strong performances. Episode II as Episode I is visually stunning with great special effects. Episode II also has great fight scenes like Obi-Wan vs. Jango Fett and the area scene, and of course Count Dooku is a great villain. We also finally get to see Yoda fight in a amazing battle. This movie is fantastic when you watch this movie you feel the force! Episode 2 was also nominated for an Oscar and is number 17 on the all time U.S. box office. Despite Episode 2's greatness it is still slightly underrated. I give Episode II a 9.0 out of 10 which is 2 points higher than IMDb's 7.0.

A underrated masterpiece
18 May 2005
Star Wars Episode 1 was one of the most anticipated movies ever made. It is a highly underrated movie despite great acting by Liam Neeson and Ewan McGregor to name a few. The movie also has great special effects, and tons of interesting characters. These also some great scenes like the fight scene where Obi Wan and Qui-Gon Jin face Darth Maul, and of course the pod race. It also has a great villain in Darth Maul. This film has also been bashed by many critics and fans despite a great musical score. Many critics don't understand how great this movie really is but some do like Roger Ebert who gave this movie 3 and a half stars. This movie is only given a 6.4 rating by IMDb despite these factors. Epsidoe 1 deserves a higher rating for its great visuals, and acting but it was rightfully nominated for three Oscars for its brilliance. This movie is also number five on the highest grossing U.S. movies ever made list. Epsidoe 1 deserves more praise for the masterpiece it is and I give it a 9.0 out of 10.
