Sebastian (1968)
No flashy review, I just really like it
My husband was watching a movie today and I had to comment to him as I was passing by that I really liked one of the actors in it and very much enjoyed one of his other movies.
I had to check him out on IMDb: Dirk Bogarde to find the title that I had trouble retrieving from the depths of my mind (thank goodness for IMDb).
I am also one of those who saw it many years ago and it keeps popping back to mind. I liked the actors, the characters, the mood, the somewhat psychedelic feel of the 60s and really wish they would bring it out on DVD so that I can see it again and keep the title nearer the forefront of my brain!
Lassiter (1984)
When are they going to put this on DVD??
This is my favorite Tom Selleck movie!! Plain and simply, when are they going to put it on DVD?
Now the site tells me I have to write more than one line...so...
It has been too long since I have seen it! I don't have a working VCR anymore and I wouldn't invest in one, anyway. I remember that Tom Selleck is great in this movie and along with Jane Seymour, they have a great on-screen chemistry. The movie reminds me of the cat-burglary of "To Catch A Thief", but the period is WWII Europe and Tom Selleck must break into an embassy to try to avoid prison, much like Sean Connery did in "The Rock". It has many twists and turns and a surprise ending to equal "The Sting"!
This movie has it all!
Max Headroom (1985)
I Agree!
I looked up Max on IMDb to see if I could find any information about the powers that be putting it on DVD. This was one of my favorite shows (along with Moonlighting, Magnum PI, Thirty Something, and Murphy Brown). I agree that it was intelligent and worth taping or scheduling your time around and SHOULD be produced on DVD!!! Get to it!!
For all those who never had the good fortune of being able to view this show, I would compare it to a cross between Robocop on a computer network and combined with the comedy of Jim Carey on steroids. Max, the main character of the show, exists as the personality and life form of the computer--it's not-so-artificial artificial intelligence.
I don't remember much else about the show, which is one reason I would love to see it again, because I love to reminisce, but as the previous posting pointed out...they only seem to come up with shows that have just been running and, mostly, are of no interest to me. So, put it out, Powers That Be!
