Jawan (2023)
SRK King of Mass Entertainment
Just how good is Shahrukh Khan in action roles, all this while we've been calling him the undisputed King of Romance, It's time for us to acknowledge him as the King of Mass Entertainers too.
The movie is your typical South Indian Style Masala Entertainer with strong political message apt for today's times
Nayanthara is good, Vijay Sethupathy was surprisingly not so good. Deepika's cameo was very effective and an essential part of the movie. Amongst SRK's girls Sanya Malhotra could and should have been used more
Songs are just OK and some of them are there just for the sake of it
Give it a go. It's worth your time and money.
The Walking Dead: Dead City (2023)
Maggie and Negan Show
The thing that made the Original walking dead so great were the amazing relatable characters.
Dead city's first season only revolves around Maggie and Negan. The rest of the characters are not good enough till now, the Croat didn't seem evil enough, Hershel has grown up to be an annoying kid, the introduction of Lisa Emery as 'The Dama' seems promising .
Perhaps in the later seasons we'll get better characters and more compelling storyline .
But not much happened in Season 1 and it ends just when it seemed the plot is getting better, 6 episodes were far too less.
Let's hope for the better in the upcoming seasons.
Imam (2017)
Thank you for making this
For some reason people today prefer watching things more than reading so I Thank you for this amazing historically accurate informative series.
It hits you so hard, Imam Ahmed Ibn Hanbal is an inspiration to all practising Muslims. It shows what we should strive to be.
Babamin Kemani (2022)
Worth watching
Well I watched this movie as I am a big fan of Engin Altan Duzyatan having watched his work in Dirilis Ertugrul and Barbaroslar. And he didn't dissapoint me, Although the movie isn't a masterpiece by any means it hits the right notes, you feel good watching it throughout and get emotional in many scenes.
The movie is about 2 brothers who were very close in childhood and get separated for some reason(Don't wish to spoil by giving the reason). Both brothers are excellent violinists. The elder(Ali Raza) is poor though and younger(Mehmet) is famous well recognised. The elder brother gets a disease and passes away leaving his 8 year old daughter(who is an excellent violinist herself).
Initially reluctant to have her but as the movie progresses Mehmet (Engin) and his niece Ozlem develop a special bond.
As the movie is about violinists the music throughout is amazing.
The characters and actors portraying them are good.
Engin Altan Duzyatan is one of the finest actors worldwide.
Fatma (2021)
Masterpiece
I'm so impressed by the plot, the direction, the pace and most importantly the acting of all the characters.
The leading lady (Fatma) might as well be one of the best actor on the planet, I wish to see more of her work now.
It's one of those series you want to finish in one go as it is so intriguing.
Siccin 2 (2015)
Scariest Movie
I love this genre and I have seen a lot of horror movies. I don't remember seeing a horror movie as good as this. The storytelling is so good, it feels real, the end has a massive twist.
If you love horror movies, this is the finest of the genre
Dirilis: Ertugrul (2014)
Best Series Ever Made
Well once you see this series. No other series is good enough. Despite this series being in Turkish, the impact is such that I know so many of the dialogues by heart.
This series has action, thrill, excitement, twists and turns, romance, spirituality and above all Islamic teachings.
I would also like to appreciate the makers for their flawless casting, the attractive costumes and the mesmerizing background music.
You learn a lot about our history, the life of Oghuz Turks, the Seljuk Empire, the evil Mongols, the knight Templars, the Byzantines and the various events of historical importance.
Also I've seen people terming it as 'Turkish Game of Thrones'. I'd say it is an improved version of 'Game of Thrones'.
Eyvallah.
