Great Independent Film
8 May 2005
I had the pleasure of seeing this film and was very impressed with all aspects of it. The story was great. I really understood the situation and characters because the writing and acting were superb. The thing that amazed me the most was the fact that this was shot on almost no budget at all. One usually has to pay good money to get the talented people that worked on this. To summarize the plot a little, it is about a kid named Martin who has a horrible home life. His parents are not around and is being raised by his grandparents. An abusive grandfather and overly tender grandmother make for a crazy dynamic in his home. His friend Digger and he are dealing with issues of breaking free of the poor lifestyle their families have been in for so long. The track coach notices that Martin outruns the rest of the track team and sees his way to a college coaching job. If you have the opportunity, find this movie and watch it.

Unnoticed (2005)

Amazing Film
1 May 2005
After seeing Unnoticed, I can't believe that they spent so little making it. This film is about a man who is a government assassin who meets a former soldier, now a preacher. They go on an adventure where people are trying to kill them. There is an element of truth in there about the Chinese Underground of churches. The acting was very believable, for amateur actors, they did a wonderful job. But the thing that stood out the most to me was the special effects. I can't believe this film wasn't made by Hollywood. There were shots in the movie looking through the scope of a gun that convinced me. There were people in the audience arguing about whether the guns were real or not. I would recommend this film to anyone who likes a good story and a great visual adventure.

Great Independent Film!
6 April 2005
I have had the pleasure of seeing The Mind's Eye before it's official release. Rick Owens dazzles viewers with a riveting story that keeps them guessing until the very end. His main characters are very well developed and the acting is great! This film is about a young woman who invents a computer program that will record her dreams. She records her dreams in order to find out what happened to her mother who died when she was young. Throughout the film, the viewer is on the edge of their seat hoping to find out what the young woman is looking for: The answer to the mystery behind her mother's death. This thriller is for anyone who likes a psychological game.
