CSI: Crime Scene Investigation: Empty Eyes (2007)
Could have been ripped from TODAY'S headlines
Watching this in late 2023, almost a year after the November 2022 University of Idaho college murders. Obviously, it's bringing up a lot of similarities - multiple killings of roommates, so many clues but not clearly connected to a suspect.
One thing I ask almost every episode is why do they always leave the lights off? It makes no sense if you are trying to investigate a scene to do so in the dark. Only if they are looking for forensic evidence under a black light, should it be dark.
I must say, I really like the characterization this season. I've been watching the show for several months now, and have only recently noticed a real attempt at providing background to the characters. Especially Sara, since we know that she was traumatized as a child.
The episode did a good job showing all the pieces behind the investigation.
Bones: The Wannabe in the Weeds (2008)
Oh Hi Oh
Good episode, with several plot twists and turns.
I think the best storylines allow Booth and Brennan to explore their individual areas of expertise. With that said, I wish they didn't always put Brennan in a vacuum. (Ex: She knows who Cindy Lauper is, but has never heard of American idol?) I also like that we get to know a little bit more about the interns, such as Zack Addy's singing background. The storylines in the background can be just as interesting as a storylines of the main actors.
However, did anyone catch the funny way David B (Booth) says "Ohio"? (Time code 36:01) when he is interrogating the gym owner. He says you were going to "oh hi oh." No one says it that way...😂😂😂
