Monk: Mr. Monk Takes Manhattan (2004)
Season 3, Episode 1
10/10
Impactful start
1 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
What a brilliant start to season 3. Classic monk annoyed by the hustling and bustling of the busy Manhattan street.

Fav part of the episode was when Captain Leland and Monk tried to communicate with each other but the construction crew kept drilling the ground everytime Monk tried to finish his sentences, it was so annoying but classic monk!

But the ending of this episode was everything, I teared up when Monk switched off the flow of morphine to the bedridden man who help murdered his wife but then tearfully turn it back on again saying , "And This is Trudy, the woman you killed..."

Such an impactful ending showing that Monk would have killed the killer , he have enough vengeance in him to do so , but he have alot of Trudy in him that held him back!

One of the better episodes of Monk! Can't wait for the next episode!

Monk against the world
5 April 2020
Monk is lonely in this episode, because the person he suspected to be the perp , is a TV star , and his charm won over Sharona, Randy , stottlemeyer to the point that they won't listen to monk(weird since monk is almost always right with his convictions). The TV star actor Brad is amazing in his deception(like most serial killers) and managed to tricked everyone but monk. I feel sad for monk and rooted so much for him to make the others regret for not trusting his suspicions from the start. Brilliant episode once more, very fresh and flawless in my opinion

Monk: Mr. Monk and the Three Pies (2004)

Such a heartwarming episode
4 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Hi I love this episode so so much, it introduces viewers to Ambrose Monk, Adrian's brother whom at the start of the episode he tried to hide the fact that he got a brother as he wasn't proud of the fact. He also described his brother as someone crazy and mentally challenged , the brother is actually just like him but instead of being a germophobe , Ambrose is agoraphobic, fear of living his house so for 32 years he didn't leave his house. Funny yet cute and heartwarming interactions between the siblings ensued , in such "Monk" fashion leaving Sharona randy and captain stottlemeyer having a culture shock. And an important fact about Trudy death revealed too and how Adrian overcome his phobia to console his brother, that made me tear up. Such a fun plot and a darn good episode! I love Monk

Monk has a big heart
1 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Monk chooses Sharona over solving the crime. When threatened by the perp to back off or illicit pictures of Sharona would be published, monk not being his usual self offered to back off to save Sharona , but Sharona who had a heart to heart talk with Benjy allowed monk to get the perp at all costs and in the end it was brilliant how monk caught the perp. Officer randy shines in this episode , comic relief!

I don't know how he did it but he did it
1 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
It seems impossible in this episode for the suspected perp to commit the crime , even monk was stumped at first but he was super sure the sleeping suspect did it and of course he's right again, it gets super funny in the end when he deliver his deduction and was interrupted repeatedly by the mailman!

Best episode so far and surely one of the best in the entire series

Why was it good? I CRIED , if an episode can make me cry, means it's really good cause usually I'm emotionless haha, the chemistry between stottlemeyer and monk , the love hate between them, the real reason why monk arranged things his way, was all so touching to me , best thing I've watched all week and brilliant acting by all involved . Although Sharona wasn't as prominent in this episode, it made it fresh as we get to see the chemistry between the captain and monk! Brilliant episode!

Top notched acting by ms Kyra!

I'm so glad i got the dvd to watch this series, the lead is just an amazing actress , this episode is brilliant, one of the best in crime series drama that ive ever watched. She portrayed each emotion brilliantly and I find myself applauding by the end of the episode. The plot may be simple for some who watch many crime TV series but the execution is upmost perfection. Most of the time , her subordinates rolled eyes or dread working with her but by the end of this episode they were all smiling and in awe of her brilliance in the interoggation room ! Amazing amazing amazing acting!

"I used to blame myself, but not anymore"

Warning: Spoilers
Abbie carmichael acting shines in this episode, the plot is amazing too, the lady who acted as Alice, 100/100 for her amazing acting, she can portray anger and sadness realistically too.

We see the growth of Abbie here as an attorney, personal grudge vs what is the right thing to do. McCoy takes a backseat in this episode which is fresh.

Who run the world? Girls!

Disturbing, gut wrenching
18 March 2020
You might think that this episode is fictional and the chances of such a case in real life is zero but you'll be surprised at how dark and twisted some people are across the globe and this episode is one such instance faced by the detectives and the attorneys, who themselves can't believe what's happening. I can only say, blood is thicker than water.

Interesting and complex

One of the more complex episodes where grey area is an understatement. Morality vs legality again plays a big part in McCoy pursuit for conviction. Life vs property

Wow , all I can say is wow
17 March 2020
Such an intense episode. Probably one of the best in the Law and order series , super intense, it's like a game of chess, the battle between the perp and Abbie who is ever relentless in the pursuit of justice , phew I was left speechless by the end of the episode. Interesting episode which didn't go to court at all this time , all on the negotiating table between the attorneys , the perps. Alot of emotions in this episode. Very intriguing , very dark. Best episode in season 9 so far.

Welcome to the big leagues
16 March 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Awesome episode, just shows time and time again how relentless McCoy can get while pursuing justice , doesn't matter who was trying to stop him, he will not back down until justice is serve. Another episode where Adam might not agree with McCoy but McCoy took things to his own hands again! Iconic part was when McCoy tells Carmichael "Welcome to the big leagues" as she manage to convict the perps to death row punishment. And also love the scene when McCoy bought salad for Carmichael but she took his ribs instead saying she burn calories not store them

Two words
15 March 2020
I got two words for this episode. 1. Abbie 2. Carmichael

Boy is she a personality, aggressive and reminds me of McCoy himself , I'm sure he's impressed by her, cause I certainly am. It's sad that we no longer will see Ross but I think with just one episode, I am over Ross and so into Carmichael now. Good episode to introduce us to the new A.d.a! Plot abit haywire but it's really necessary to show how relentless Abbie can get a conviction! Can't wait to watch the next episode alr

Wow
22 August 2018
I've been watching supernatural all these years and who knew that telling the story from the perspective of the Impala is going to be one of my fav episodes? This episode reminded me of why I watched supernatural in the first place, the unique plots and storytelling tools, it's different. Dean is humorous in this episode too and Sam as per normal being the brother who's always so serious bar the fact that he banged a hot chick after claiming that he wanna dig up some lore! That part was gold! I truly was immersed in this episode and it's fresh and not dull at all! Big props to the producers for this! Hope to see more unique plots in the coming episodes!
