As Luck Would Have It (2021)
Hallmark Worthy
A harken to the famed Hallmark Hall of Fame series. Good acting, well written, likable characters. Worthy of the Hallmark seal, unlike so many of their newer movies.
800 Words (2015)
Bring It Back
I've just learned this show will be airing on the UP tv cable channel, my go to channel for family oriented programming.
I would live to see them add seasons, even if the same actors are not available.
It was touching and relatable from the first episode.
Anyone who has lost someone, split with someone, doubted their abilities as a parent, or second guessed their actions, can find something to appreciate in this series.
Well written and acted. Please bring it back!
Broke (2020)
I Don't Hate It
So, I'm tuning in every week, so I can't hate it, right? As someone who is not a sitcom devotee, I love the situation, and characters. I am especially delighted to see Jaime Camil. I am surprisingly disappointed by Pauley Perrette in this comedy. She is stilted in her effort to be animated. But I can get past her and still enjoy. I hope this is signed on for more seasons.
Knives Out (2019)
Not A Critic
I'm not a critic. I'm a moviegoer. I went to be entertained, and I was. I loved the characters, the Christieesque plot line for a modern day, the dialogue, and the cast. I will see this again, and invite friends. Thanks so much for this movie.
Christmas in the City (2013)
What I Expected
I just wanted a sweet (if cookie cutter) movie that wouldn't distract me while I worked at home. I didn't watch for goofs ( except to notice warm weather clothes worn by people outdoors, while actors wore coats). I was amused that Ashanti was no actress, or Ashley Williams no singer. Though tempted a few times just to fast forward to the "good" parts, I kept it on. It didn't disappoint, as it was what I expected.
