Andor (2022)
Not a good star wars series
It's not a good star wars series, but a good series period. Sometimes I feel like I have been deceived by the star wars context into watching a series I might have not even started watching in the infinite amount of content we get. It's a constant up and down of emotions, it's thrilling and gritty. It really makes you feel the oppression of the empire in ways no other star wars media have done until now. I also love the fact that it's not a single mission, but several narrative arcs that slowly make Andor into a rebel. Each of them with it's own apex. Each of them epic on its own, with new different characters, all interesting and layered.
Hilda (2018)
Melancholy at its finest
This feels so much like childhood. It a cozy fall evening near the fire. The colours and the artistic direction is stunning. In my childhood I used to read Calvin & Hobbes and Peanuts and it feels like going back to those small lighthearted adventures where you're immagnation is the limit. The creatures seem to be coming out of a child fantasy and they recall so much that part of me I always end up drowned in the atmosphere and wanting to come back to rewatch again the same adventure, for the simple feel of it, just like I'd always come back for the same old book of strips I had
Death Parade: Death: Seven Darts (2015)
The unnecessary traitor
The last turn of events was unnecessary, would have been so much more interesting if it was all just unjustified jealousy
Wizards (2020)
Editing is way too fast
It's unbearable how every line doesn't even wait for the next one. It feels like the flower shop scene in the room
The Witcher: Of Banquets, Bastards and Burials (2019)
Still cool but WTF
What was that banquet scene? It makes no sense at all, who's by who and what is that surprise thing is poorly explained, it's like if the writers said: "meh, wikipedia exist, let them use it". I'm intrigued by something in this and I know I'll finish it in a couple days, but sometimes everything is all messed up. Luckily I was aware of the timeline thing, which is useless by the way and easily it could had been avoided. I hate most of the things in this show but i'm still hooked so bad, it's so confusing
Big Mouth: Cellsea (2019)
Frankie
It was a 9 until the end, than Forrest Gump came in an it was a 10
Love, Death & Robots (2019)
Great Idea, bad execution
Most episodes are too short to even say something, they just try really hard to blow your mind. Some have absolutely no connection with the title with death. Some animations ore ok, some other are really liveless. I really liked some episodes but in the big picture they're not enough. In conclusion: great idea, bad execution. I'm hoping there will be a more focused, more challenging season 2 to see this series true potential.
