The Walking Dead: Last Day on Earth (2016)
Season 6, Episode 16
3/10
How to make every fan mad (but not in a good way)
3 April 2016
Warning: Spoilers
SPOILER: Well this is it, we have waited a whole season for Negan, and the death that he brings. The episode has been hyped up for months, with every actor in the show praising the episode for months, and what do we get, A CLIFF HANGER THAT IS NOTHING MORE THAN CLICK BATE. We have been waiting months for this episode, and comic book readers have been waiting years for this moment, and it is completely ruined. Instead all we get is a cliff hanger that will lead to a (most likely delayed) opening in season 7 before we find out who actually died. The moment we have waited months for, the producers just told the fans to screw themselves. They want the Jon snow treatment, all that mystery, but unlike Jon snow's death which was not pre hyped, people tuned into this episode to see who would die, NOT JUST TO SEE NEGAN, THEY TUNED IN TO SEE WHO WOULD DIE. Bottom line the producers messed up big time, and I honestly don't know if I want to even tune into the next episode, it will pretty obvious who dies by the time the premier of season 7 happens, we will know who won't be a main character any more by then. Wasted potential of an episode.

Game of Thrones: The Watchers on the Wall (2014)
Season 4, Episode 9
10/10
Quite Simply the Best Episode of 2014
8 June 2014
Warning: Spoilers
This was an episode that had so many things going against it before it even began. One of my friends who had also read the books had said, "This will be like the battle of blackwater except with a less exciting story line behind it." Now in truth, this episode will probably wind up with only a 9.4 rating due to the fact that most fans will not call the night watch story line there favorite story line (something I can agree with, other than this episode, kings landing has been way more entertaining). With that said, my review below focuses SOLELY on the episode. I might not be a huge fan of the night watch plot line, but if this was the first episode of Game of Thrones that I have ever scene, I would be calling the night watch the greatest plot device in TV history.

I am in awe at how perfectly executed this episode was produced. I went into this episode with huge expectations, blackwater expectations, not just were they met, they were exceeded more than I could ever imagine. We start off with twenty minutes of beautiful preparation. Jon and Sam have a great conversation about "the cave," while Ygritte comes to odds with her own men. Sam and Aemon have what may be the best conversation of the entire series and Gilly makes her way to Castle Black. Then it happened, twenty five straight minutes of non stop action. Non stop sword fights and arrow fights and just awe. I have to make some pro/con comparisons to blackwater. The only thing this episode did no have that blackwater had was the big explosion. HOWEVER, these reasons are why this episode beats blackwater. First, we had true sword fights. I mean all out, multi minute long sword fights. Not just that, we knew the characters that were fighting. Thorne vs Tormund was more climatic than the mountain and the viper. Then the one subtle meaning that I am going to say right now that will make everyone reading this go, "I did not realize that." Revenge. The kid who shot the arrow through Ygritte's heart, was a mirror image of what Ygritte did to his father in breaker of chains. Everyone will say, "Ygritte being killed by a kid, didn't see that coming," but in truth, she killed his father the same way he killed her. Graphically the episode was really good. Lighting may have been off at certain points, but it truly showed what it was like from the watcher's point of view. The action in this episode was non stop, pure adrenaline, and just perfect. There were no pauses. I loved the Cersei/Sansa diolague in blackwater, thought it was spotless, but I can honestly say that the twenty five minuets of non stop sword fights, arrow battles, and explosions just blew me away. with no doubt this was the most exciting TV episode that I have ever scene.

Next week: Tyrion faces his destiny, Jamie makes his destiny, Bran's plot finally goes somewhere, and the war between the night's watch and the wildling's conclude. I pray that the episode is as good as this, but I don't know.

Hand's down the best episode of Game of Thrones, best episode of 2014, and I can honestly say that after 39 years, this is the best television episode that HBO has ever produced.

Game of Thrones: The Mountain and the Viper (2014)
Season 4, Episode 8
10/10
The episode before the big war episode was pretty damn big
1 June 2014
Warning: Spoilers
For those that have read the book and have read the titles for the episode, you would have known for the beginning that this episode contained one of the most anticipated scenes, and that next episode would probably be the best episode of the year out of any TV show. Well this episode did contain that amazing scene, as well as many others. We start off with a perfectly written dialogue between Gilly and the leader of Mole's town. The wildling's arrive and a brilliant slaughter is written, ultimately reminding me why I love Ygritte so much. Now I never thought I would say this but Sansa's acting skills have improved so much this season, and Little finger still proves himself to be the best villain on the show. Arya and the Hound are in the episode for only two minutes, and still managed to make me smile and Reek/Ramsey did a good job pleasing Lord Bolton (I still have to remind myself that he is the man that stabbed Rob in the heart). I was a little disappointed with the Jorah scene as it definitely was not like that in the books, but that may cause a speed up to his next plot line real fast. Finally- The Mountain vs. the Viper. It may have been shorter than I anticipated, but OMG WAS THAT BATTLE AMAZING. Perfect, every trick in the book used, and I guess since it didn't go on for to long it didn't become tedious. How it ended was violently perfect and it goes to show that Game of Thrones will never hold back (that was banshee).

To sum it up: Best episode of the season, and this season has been amazing.

Next week will probably be the best episode of the year out of any TV show. Nights watch vs. Wildlings. One plot line, One hell of a war.

Banshee: Homecoming (2014)
Season 2, Episode 9
10/10
Best Episode in Weeks
7 March 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Banshee this season has been a loose cannon. It has been great and enjoyable, and yet it hasn't brought the bang that season 1 brought to its viewers. Season 1 Episode 8 was easily the best episode of the show, so when last weeks episode didn't match that, I was slightly disappointed. NOT THIS WEEK!

We start off with Job literally storming into Rabbit's Brothers church and almost succeeding in killing him, however his brother manages to spot him and after a fierce action sequence Job is hit by a speeding car.

The suspend disbelief moment- Job only gets a concussion from this

As this is going on, Burton does his thing and Rebecca betrays her Uncle. The scene between Proctor and his mom had incredible dialogue and we are starting to get a soft spot for Proctor. Never thought that I would say that for the best villain on T.V.

Carrie finally reveals to Gordan that Lucas is Deva's father. Long Overdue producers.

The hospital fight between Lucas, Carrie and Rabbit's men was arguably the best scene this season.

Overall this was a great episode and I look forward to the big final shootout next episode. The key question is, will we ever see the gigantic Indian again? One of the pictures in the opening countdown shows him standing in a pit with blood trailing down his body.
