I Am Georgina (2022)
I'm doing this deliberately
Let me State here I'm not a huge consumer of reality shows but the hate reviews are just terrible, this series / documentary is a classic Cinderella story except the prince is one of the best athletes in the world with and enviable and admirable work ethic. Georgina herself lives her life unapologetically, she seems grateful for her life and utilizes it without being vulgar and staying faithful to her partner, yes there's luxury, yes she wasn't born with a silver spoon, she's looks exactly like a good person who life turned around. Still I like her persona, it's grounded, while enjoying the luxurious life. Watch, and enjoy, maybe envy a little.
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (2022)
They could have done this with a much smaller budget.
Honestly they could have done this with a much smaller budget, the picture quality and production values are very good, very high especially when you have a 4K television yet amazing but the storyline leaves much to be desired if you are a core Lord of the rings fan I guess you might understand more but I've only watched The Lord of the rings movies in person so it felt like there was a lot to explain and the storytelling was just so slow there was not enough material for me in this first season just it was just slow yeah especially if you compare it with its counterparts the wheels of time, yeah it falls short it's just mediocre given the amount of money used to make it.
Saakini Daakini (2022)
A step in right direction
Hindi movies can have some ridiculous action scenes, if bahubali can get away with it, then by all means Shalini and damini should, but by all means, this movie had one of the best action scenes by women, no stunt doubles, its not perfect but you definitely see the work the actresses put in. Action choreography was good too, supporting characters are forgettable though. No dance number, it definitely was not needed. No stunt doubles, movie trope is familiar but not cliche, also they showed after math injuries, all in all, a good movie in its own rights, they are definitely things that could be improved but it's ok.
The Gray Man (2022)
Surprised by Ryan Gosling
I haven't seen Ryan Gosling in awhile but he's perfect for the role, all round fun, and much better than a lot of movies in this genre, and yes please make as many sequels as they like as long as they stick to the original winning formula, Ryan is very lovable as an assassin, I can't explain just watch.
Dhaakad (2022)
Watch for the Kangana ranaut, nothing else
Kangana ranaut in terms of physique is at her best here but the storyline and direction is poor, the action scenes are very good, John wick goo, you can tell Kangana put her best in training however the storyline and editing and direction could have been done differently, acting was ok all round, I enjoyed it because of Kangana but nothing too ground breaking. It's also not as bad as people make it, this is much better than heropanti, just don't waste money and wait for it to get to DVD.
First Kill (2022)
Ha, nowhere near previous vampire shows.
Let me say vampire diaries and the originals franchise have raised the bar way too high for other vampire shows to follow. Not because of the CGI or editing but because of the quality of actors casted, That being said this show needed a lot of improvement, first of all the young lady playing the lead vampire you looked kind of old for a teenager, no offense, should have recasted a younger actress, even barefaced she wasn't too believable as a teenager, secondly a lot of the scenes came off like something from a Tyler Perry movie and not in the good way, the black actors were either given deliberately bad lines or they were not directed properly, and it's obvious, black actors don't get the leads most times in this particular genre, so I was disappointed, there's a clear difference in something between the vampire hunter family who are black and the vampires who are white, if you're familiar with this vampire genre, you'll understand what I mean, (I'm black) the only great thing about the series is its acceptance and portrayal of lgbtq and others the action scenes could have been better at some places it looked like it was really really low budget, storyline was also not the best a lot of things were just not clicking so, a lot of cringe scenes.....yeah, everyone can do better in this show.
Remarriage & Desires (2022)
Best series in a while
From the first episode to the very scene, expect the unexpected, the acting is top notch, story line is superb, everything was very well done. The lead actresses were amazing.
Bel-Air (2022)
Solid considering the current times
Ok if you are into the original comedy of fresh Prince of Bel-Air in my opinion you'll love this remake it shows us the parts of the original series that we didn't think about. Like How Will Smith and Carlton Banks may not have gotten along it's very real it's turn-of-the-century it's not comedy at least not all the time it's a solid show I don't know why the negative ratings I think it gives a realistic version of what might have actually happened without the laugh track just watch and enjoy as a standalone.
Hua deng chu shang (2021)
Mature stuff not explicit
I personally like the portrayal of emotions here, it's not common, I like the characters, you can see their flaws, their strengths too. I'm not familiar with taiwanese art or media but the actors are good especially the female leads. It's slow burn, take your time, you'll find emotions you'll relate to and not the pretty kind.
Panga (2020)
Feel good movie
Kangana Ranaut bodied this role as well, you can tell she trains physically for her roles, supporting characters are great as well. All in all very good family movie.
Thalaivi (2021)
Kangana Ranaut
Kangana Ranaut is an amazing actress, this biopic is not easy to play, she did it amazing.
The supporting actors are good too. We didn't get too much back story with her mother though,
King of Boys (2018)
A new start for Nollywood
Honestly this movie is really good production wise and the sequel...... Chills from top notch acting.
Jungle Cruise (2021)
It's funny and enjoyable and action packed
This movie is thoroughly enjoyable, honestly, don't think too much, D rock is really charismatic, the movie is 👍👍
Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl (2020)
Not too bad
Movie was ok, nothing too out of the ordinary. lead actress was ok, everything else was fair, the storyline was not too strong. So it felt predictable.
The Witcher (2019)
Amazing
This was very well done, just enjoy, I don't do reviews but this was really good, excellent casting,
