Westworld: Que Será, Será (2022)
I've only myself to blame for revisiting this mess of a series.
The writers clearly have no clue what they're on about. When this show began, it was intriguing due to its interaction between hosts, guests, and creators. Now the show is wholly about robots with almost no attention given to the humans. So basically 1% of population decided to make robots their hunting toys and they're going to enslave the whole human population. At no point the show treats this arc as an ethical abomination. What humans did to host was purely accidental. They had no idea they were conscious and what hosts are doing to human is out of pure malice. I've no idea how writers think this is justifiable. It's like you buy a sex toy, and then later sex toy decides to torture you because it was conscious and you used it without it's consent. There is no ethical dilemma being addressed at all.
And since when did Westworld encompass the whole world? If the guests were predominantly Americans or Brits, how did the whole world get extinct?
I can't believe the writing has gone so sloppy. This is mess best avoided. You can still enjoy first two seasons and that's about it. Don't expect more. I only have myself to blame for revisiting this mess of a series. I keep hoping they'll somehow capture the old magic, but that's just nostalgia talking.
Dexter: Remember the Monsters? (2013)
Change your ratings ASAP to let fools at Showtime know how royally they messed up!
Okay, people! It seems more clearer than ever how the fanbase overreacted to a okay/good ending. I always had the feeling that perhaps we're being too harsh with this episode. It was an open to interpretation ending but apparently that doesn't sit well with the people because they want everything to be spoonfed. So, please people change your ratings on this episode to let morons of Showtime and even Clyde Phillips know that New-Blood Season NEVER HAPPENED. You don't have to rate 10/10; just change you're rating to 2 or 3 points higher, because this ending is significantly better than the crap they showed us in New Blood.
Dexter: New Blood: Sins of the Father (2022)
Forced, polarizing and anti-climactic.
I really wanted to like the ending of the show, but couldn't get myself to. The episode itself had a great start, but the last 20 minutes were forced clearly. We see Dexter acting like a complete idiot and I know he's become rusty since his abstinence but it doesn't mean he'd lose his wits. Even if he had to die, this felt too anticlimactic and forced. It almost had no impact. For what it's worth, I'd have taken the Season 8 ending gladly.
Westworld: Crisis Theory (2020)
Abysmal anti-human propoganda!
This season begins nicely giving you hope that it won't make a mess out of itself like it had done in Season 2. However, they fell down the same road all over again. A.I uprising was an interesting story-line but it seems so convoluted and anti human. J. Nolan had pursued this idea with Person of Interest as well. However in POI, he has chosen to portray this with two contrasting A.I's which made for a stellar show. But in WW, he has just chosen to show the ugliness and that too of the rich. Moreover, Caleb's story-line and motivation were inherently so weak, I found myself questioning everything he did and not in a good way. Personally, I could never root for an A.I. taking over the world and I've no idea why anyone would sympathize with it without showing some contrast to it like POI did. This could have been a stellar philosophical show dealing with taboo subjects if it presented both the cases on table and let the viewers decide. But to our dismay, the show and it's creators are inherently biased and pick a side for you already. "So much for free will". It's like Detroit: Become Human all over again!
Raees (2017)
It is something!
Raees isn't an extraordinary movie, but it would be completely heartless to ignore it. The main problem with the movie is, the directors and the producers have tried to commercialise it. Had it been made without "Bollywood-Masala" element, this would have been one of the best SRK starrer. And also, it's become a trend to hate on SRK and his methods. I agree not everybody is going to be his die hard or even just a fan. But you don't last 25 years just like that, especially when you have no God-father. SRK's acting is undoubtedly good, especially "Bar Aftermath" scene. He just needs to research and choose his scripts wisely. Compared to Kaabil, this is an obvious choice, unless you're blinded by hatred. Just because Kaabil addresses rape, a sensitive issue, doesn't mean it's a good movie. The execution is just poor and not without loop holes. Even though there are bad reviews about Raees, I'm pretty sure those people also enjoyed it for the one-time sake. It would have been an epic movie if it had strong direction and non-commercial aspect. All in all, it is something. Watch it at least one time.
Person of Interest: .exe (2016)
Removing Variable- The Machine
Ever wondered if Harold had made different choices. Who'd still be alive and who'd be dead? This show is as philosophical as it gets. The choices, the morale & the ethics of a person; inclusive of all it's butterfly effect. The world without ASI's aren't any better or worse, just slightly different. Samaritan would have emerged anyway, as Claypool was already working on it with the NSA. It was Greer who corrupted it. "How arrogant of you to think of us anything but irrelevant." And indeed we're all irrelevant in the end. Ethical dilemma and necessary sacrifices (as in Chess); will it all come down to winning or losing? I remember Harold saying, Grace is all that matters. And the password was eight-lettered. DASHWOOD. The character from Jane Austins, Sense & Sensibility. The same book in which Harold had embedded a ring to propose to Grace. I think she might be play a Key-part in Return 0.
Person of Interest: Synecdoche (2016)
New Harold, New Number, New Recruits, New Voice & Ice9
This episode is as brilliant as it gets. This episode begins with the burial of our beloved Cocoa Puffs. I'm gonna miss her terribly, but also I'm glad to know she's the voice of the Machine. Can't wait to see her all in God Mode. Although Harold is in complete God Mode and has unprecedented access. Reese & Shaw try to save the President, while the previous Irrelevant numbers try to secure the exit strategy of our primary assets. This is our hope of new spin off for the show. The new recruits getting the numbers. But it was still unclear to me, if Samaritan was all behind i (Because no Samaritan agents were shown in contact or Greer for that matter) The twist to me was unexpected and I couldn't even see that coming. But when Logan Pierce showed up, following Joey Durban & Rose Harper, I knew something was special about this episode. But I still fear that Reese & Harold might die, because of what Harold said to him in the pilot episode; Sooner or later they'll both end up dead. Actually Dead this time. I just hope the finale will be as exciting as YHWH or If-then-Else. Btw this is one hell of a quality show. Frankly I don't understand people rooting for stupid shows like Supergirl, TWD or 2 Broke Girls. SMH!
Also Harold uploads Ice9 virus that could bring Samaritan to it's knees but could have serious repercussions/ramifications
Person of Interest: YHWH (2015)
Can. You. Hear. Me? Hell, yes!
This was one of the marvelous and the brilliant episodes of POI (including If-Then-Else) Full of story, style, action & philosophy. I'm not sure how the directors and writers are able to conceive such ingenious plot. I was literally biting off my nails & pulling my hair constantly whilst making scream noises during the whole episode (especially the last 15 minutes). It's sheer brilliance. I'm don't flipping understand why would CBS wanna cancel this show & how on flipping earth, this series is so underrated than Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead & GOT Series. I simply don't & it's beyond my comprehension that, people rate mindless zombie show higher than this futuristic, philosophical & realistic show. I love everything about this. Please, more of it. The TV deserves to have some sensible writing!
Castle: Mr. & Mrs. Castle (2015)
Rick and Kate are back.
All in all, this is a good episode. I don't know what goes inside of those damn writers brain to f*ck-up the whole series. But this episode is much of resurrection of all the previous cock-ups in this season. By splitting Castle and Beckett they were trying to capture the old sexual tension. But instead it was huge let down, because the writing was just terrible and no one could stomach the reason and notion behind. It was becoming unbearable to see story taking such a disgusting take. Moreover Castle is turning more into CSI and Law & Order series. But we want more of inside and chemistry between Caskett. For instance; in Dexter, there was a perfect equilibrium of Crime and Drama. And they managed to keep it that way till the very end. But due to poor writing as well, people despised the finale. Somehow season 8 is just a jinx.
At last Rick and Kate kiss and make up as the writers just realized how stupid the whole thing was; and how audience were discontent with plot.
Tigers (2014)
The best of Emraan Hashmi.
I don't know why and what people are creating fuss about. It is a wonderful movie with excellent performances, brilliantly executed and directed. The movie is phenomenal and some important points have been illuminated. It is based on a true story and is full of emotions and depths into the unknowns.
The Oscar winner Director Danis Tanovic, makes yet another must-see movie. It is one of his best movie till date. Emraan Hashmi delivers a magnificence performance and I can say he can finally shed and shred his serial kisser image. He is natural as Ayan. He doesn't loose the character for a scene and takes this amazing movie to another level .
The Da Vinci Code (2006)
Hate for this Movie?
Seriously this movie is too awesome. Although some of the book sequences were altered. However, the direction and the acting by all actors were tremendous. Firstly, the concept of the Da Vinci was portrayed beautifully in this movie. The concept of Priory of Sion and its very foundation was beautifully executed. Moreover, the last supper painting discussion and its significance with the relevance to Mary Magdalene was also beautifully brought live to the screen. Also I fail to understand why people hate this movie and Tom Hanks in the role of Robert Langdon. No doubt, according to the book, the description does not suit the Hanks, but lest we all forget that only Hanks in the whole Hollywood Industry is capable of playing Langdon so well.
