Disappointment

Ive tried to watch this movie a few times because it lists Perry king as being in it. Perry is nowhere in this movie why do I find his picture and name listed for this movie so many times. His personal movie credits doesn't have it. Is there maybe an actor who resembles him so that someone thought was him and lists him without making sure? This is really weird why say he's in this movie and he's not in it. If he's in it, it must be the fastest quick little cameo that no one sees. I'd really like an answer cause I'd like to see any of Perry kings movies and tv shows as I can find and this is annoying.

Home for the Holidays (2005 TV Movie)

Sweet movie

A lot of Scrooge reviews here. So funny how average people think they are film critics. It's just a sweet family oriented Christmas movie about love and family. It's starts very sad but near the middle perks up as things get kind of nerve wracking. Unique solutions as the town chips in to help. Perry king and Sean young have made another tv movie together in 1998 which I loved, The cowboy and the movie star. They are still good friends. I think they have a good chemistry. This movie made it a little scary to think custody might be so complicated at a time like this though. I wanted to choke the hateful social worker department head because of how she treated the worker trying to help the family. Then there was the banker who was awful. Anyway all ends well and I liked it. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to watch a nice Christmas movie.

Just watched for Perry king

Perry king was too good for this and in it such a short amount of time. It was an ok movie not the best. I can't believe two reviewers said Perry's acting along with the others was bad. The movie was just not that well written and he didn't have enough lines to judge him by anyway. The two reviewers evidently haven't seen Perry king in the really good movies he's been in and there are many. He's a very good actor and they don't nominate bad actors for golden globe awards. He's said himself you have to do as the director wants even if you wouldn't have done it their way. Anyway this could have been a lot better if Perry and the other two actors who were out of the movie near the beginning could have had larger roles that were better written and then it could have been a better movie. I watched it just for perry king and was disappointed he was killed off too soon.

Confused

I bought this video because I couldn't find it streaming anywhere. I believe this was the pilot for a series but it wasn't made like a stand alone movie in case it wasn't picked up. It left so many questions unanswered. Like why was his old girlfriend acting like she has a secret (a child he didn't know about?), they would have had to have let the father die because he wasn't redeemable, his "sister" acted like she wanted to be his girlfriend. She actually said as she hugged him, "I wish you weren't my brother, you look so good!" We're they step or half siblings? Even so, that's just not normal I don't care how handsome Perry King was. They should have explained this at the beginning. Anyway, I guess I'll just have to make up my own answers.

Thought it had a great message that you should go by talent more than looks. If Perry King had a bigger role I'd have liked it much better and if they had shown more of their relationship. It was kind of hard to believe they thought Mel Harris wasn't attractive enough though. Also hard to believe Perry king would be considered too old too because men don't usually get treated like that, they just look distinguished. Perry king is gorgeous at any age though. Why do you require so many characters I've really said all I need to but I'll try to think of more. A little too much of her daughters and her fathers problems.

Disaster at Silo 7 (1988 TV Movie)

Good but one part wasn't made clear.

I thought this was pretty good - scary that an actual event inspired this. One part I didn't understand was the soldier who was one of the ones that went in the silo and then it blew up, told major Hicks he gave the order to go in and turn the switch. Unless I missed something the radio transmission was crackling and messed up where the one who went back in assumed they said turn the switch. The wounded soldier acted like major Hicks was trying to blame it on his friend (who died) when he really wasn't doing that he just wanted to know why he was telling the military that he gave the order when I don't think he did. Maybe i missed it but the radio transmitter was definitely messing up when the guy with Hicks told the guy something but it wasn't clear. I just thought it was odd the show didn't make that clear and gave the impression the wounded soldier was right in being mad at Manor Hicks who would probably get blamed by the higher ups and he did nothing wrong.

I like it when the guys have a romantic episode once in awhile but this one was not believable at all. Nick saw the woman they were to escort to testify and literally at first glance he fell in love. I thought they'd have a back story because sometimes he'd look at her like he knew her and was angry or something. It was too quick and forced to me but I'm sure Nick fans liked it. I don't like the crap on tv nowadays so I enjoy old movies and this series. The friendship and chemistry of the main characters makes it special. It may be outdated on some things but I just love it. It's calming, funny and always ends well. Puts me in a good mood.

Mandingo (1975)

Takes viewing more than once

I was shocked by some of the things in this movie the first time I watched it but if you watch it more than once you get that it's a serious depiction of the ugliness and cruelty of slavery. No it's not pleasant to see people beaten and treated like animals. But that happened and people need to realize that. I wondered if the dialogue was accurate for those days but don't know for sure. Even some of the captions were wrong - crazed instead of craved etc. I thought the love scene between Perry king and Brenda Sykes was touching. The acting was good. One thing that annoys me is that in some of these reviews a few people obviously didn't watch the whole movie or didn't watch it carefully because they got some things completely wrong. One guy said the son got shot in the end when it was his father and one person said that the father threw a big wedding for his son and blanch when they were actually already married before Hammond (the son) brought her home to Falconcrest. How could anyone actually watching this miss these things among others. Personally I don't think you should review a movie you haven't paid close enough attention to to have an opinion. I say watch it knowing it's meant to show the sin of slavery and if you can't take it, quit watching it.

A Friend of the Family (2022)

Sad, disturbing and infuriation but a good watc

This was good but I was edgy watching it the whole time. It made me agitated how stupid everyone was in this. I wanted to grab her parents by the throat and shake them especially the mother and Jan. I can't understand how they could be so dumb. I think Jan believing the alien thing made her seem mentally slow or something. She was old enough to know better. The actor playing the predator was so good I actually hated him. I wanted the mother to shoot him when she had the chance. He was obviously crazy. How this girl can be normal now after all she went through is beyond me. I saw the documentary on Netflix or I would have thought this was made up. It's so awful and wild! Her parents were ridiculously naive but they did love her so I felt sorry for them. The last episode dragged a lot though. You may be pulling your hair out the whole time in frustration but it's well done and interesting.

Avalanche (1978)

For fun watch this movie on mystery theater 3000. It's actually enjoyable on that. Laughed til I cried. Pointed out how the microphone wasn't even connected to anything as they did an interview with someone and one girl called her friend over to get in the picture where someone was actually only being interviewed - just microphone-no camera. It's hard to believe actors like rock Hudson and Mia farrow stooped to this level. Knowing now (not back in 1978) that Hudson would later admit he had aids makes me wonder if he was I'll at this time because he didn't look well. It does show that sometimes an actor is only as good as his script. It was so very bad it made you wish the avalanche happened at the beginning. Seriously how did this movie get funding to even get made? It's like watching a high school play. Again though, watch it on mystery 3000 or not at all.

The Last Convertible (1979)

Loved it!

I tried so hard to find this somewhere to stream but finally found where I could buy it. The dvd isn't in great condition not very crisp and hard to see in a few places, too dark but I loved the story and was glad I got to see it. Loved Perry king in it! He can play jerks and lovable guys equally well. He is so so handsome. I wonder if they were trying to imply Nancy was gay? It was never really explained. I personally wish it had ended differently for two of the characters. I'm a romantic I guess. Anyway this would have been nice to watch when it was new and in good condition but I don't remember it back in the 70's. It still was well worth buying it. I just don't enjoy the stuff that's on tv nowadays and the marvel comic movies don't appeal to me. I stream the older things and buy when I can't find them. I recommend this even if you find a dvd that's not in great condition I'd buy it. I'm rambling cause I have to type a certain number of characters.

The Watcher (2022– )

I liked it enough to watch til the end

I watched this and thought it was pretty good. The ending was confusing though. Was the watcher supposed to be all of the suspects including the house itself? I didn't understand if Jennifer Cooledge's character wanted the house herself why talk the Brannocks into buying it? Unless she thought she could get them to sell it cheaper so she could better afford it. I really hated the killing of the pets. Unnecessary and sad. The teenage girl was so irritating and it was like we were supposed to think the father was wrong in being mad at her. The acting all round was good I thought. This has lots of spoilers I know but hopefully someone on here will eventually explain some questions I have. I'd still recommend it though. You said I met the minimum and now you say I haven't?

Metamorphosis (III) (2022)

Terrible

This couldn't be worse than if they were trying to make it bad. Some scenes I couldn't even see what was happening it was so dark. Nothing explained just random boringness. One reviewer said it was edge of you seat thrilling. The only way I'd be on the edge of my seat is if I'd fallen asleep and fell off the edge of my chair. This was free on amazon so I shouldn't gripe too much. I don't know why you keep saying how many characters I have to put here. I never had to write a minimum before and I've seen reviews much shorter than mine. There are no spoilers cause I saw no plot or anything to spoil. I hate to give bad reviews but this was so bad I had to.

Knuckleball (II) (2018)

I just found this and saw the trailer so watched it. I thought it was well acted and very intense! I didn't even pause it. I kind of caught on to some of it early on but the ending didn't make it clear who the woman behind bars was. Was she real, a ghost or the boy just imagined her? Anyway, it was violent but you'd kind of expect it to be so I wasn't surprised. I'd recommend it if you like suspenseful movies. Grandpa and the boy were very good.

Don't Make Me Go (2022)

I was so glad I decided to watch this movie. It had humor, true to life scenes (if you ever had a teenage daughter, I've had three) and touching heartfelt moments. I laughed and cried. However, the first line says "you may not like how this ends" was an Understatement! Although I loved it except for the startling nude beach scene (haha), the end bothered me for days. I guess I got too attached to the young girl who reminded me so much of my granddaughter. I do recommend it but be prepared for a very sad ending.

She Led Two Lives (1994 TV Movie)

Didn't like the premise

I really disliked Connie Sellecas character in this movie. Are we supposed to think it's cute she's having an affair and lying to both men about it? She's so selfish and Unlikable. She has a sweet gorgeous husband who loves her and is supportive and she seems to want the not at all attractive old boyfriend she gets involved with. He is so pushy and childish. I can't believe she'd treat her trusting husband like she does and the movie treats that as if it's funny! I really only watched it cause I'm a Perry king fan but the movie kind of depressed me. The times her husband tried to make time for them she'd try to get out of it so she could be with her boyfriend. So she couldn't really blame him for not paying attention to her when she really didn't give him a chance. If her husband wasn't so nice and so hurt it maybe wouldn't be such an unlikable movie. It seems to be just an affair, not love with the unattractive guy and she's just using the good looking man. She's really an awful person. Sorry, the story I hated. I felt it was sad not cutesy. It's like it couldn't decide whether to be a sad drama or a kind of funny (?) drama. I would have liked her to come to her senses and drop second guy and make her marriage work.

Aspen (1977)

Very good

I finally had to buy this dvd because I couldn't find it anywhere to stream. The discs were in very good condition to have been 1977. Some of the acting was not great but it was still as good as some you'd see today. Perry king was really good in it as was a couple of the older actors. San Elliot was good too but his eyes were a little scary at times. The only thing that bothered me was it was dragged out somewhat and the ending wasn't satisfying - it was unfair and sad in my opinion. Anyway I would definitely recommend this miniseries. Now there are at least two more mini series I've got to try to find somewhere.

Still watching

I'm still watching this but I don't understand how Dan is seeing everything that's going on with melody because it's not being filmed. Only short segments are actually on the tapes. He's seeing everything going on in her life. This kind of ruins it a little for me. I thought he was supposed to only be seeing what he restored not like when she's alone or lots of things that happen off camera?

Their Second Chance (1997 TV Movie)

One of my favorites

I loved this movie! The actors seemed so real they were very believable. The scene where the mother tells her daughter about the day she gave her up had me in tears and I don't cry easily. Lindsey Wagner and Perry King were excellent their chemistry is some of the best I've seen in any movie! It says based on a true story and I hope it is. The son was kind of annoying but his reaction was really honest. Perry King at 49 looked terrific as usual. No matter what his age. I was a little confused though when they'd sometimes say it had been 28 years and then sometimes 30 years. Anyway I'd recommend this wonderful movie to anyone whose a romantic. It made me feel so good.

The Wild Party (1975)

Ugh - for Rachel welch

The only reason I gave this horrible movie a rating at all was for gorgeous Perry King. In the movie Welch was so icky sweet and then I read how awful she was to everyone while making this movie, with her huge ego trying to get the directors fired and her boyfriend to replace them, which was ridiculous, and even Perry King for doing what the director told him to do instead of what she said (She didn't want her hair messed up during the love scene.) She quit and was made to come back but demanded an apology from the directors for "embarrassing her". I had to grit my teeth at her every scene. Her acting and singing were cringe worthy. I couldnt help but think how hard it must have been for Perry king to have to do his scenes with her. I had no idea what kind of pathetic, insecure person she was. The ugh title I gave this was mostly for her but also the movie. Only enjoyed the Perry king scenes. I think she must have made them agree not to even have the love scene, you only saw Perry king getting out of bed. Watch only if you like Perry king and can stomach a diva actress.

Sad true life movie

This is a very sad, true story about a young girl finding out she has AIDS. It was a heartrending scene to see her boyfriend unable to come to terms with her disease after they slept together and even though he loved her he couldn't handle the situation. I couldn't blame him though, this was the 80's, the height of the unknown terror that was AIDS. All we knew about it was certain horrible death. The reality is I think anyone would do what he did and leave. No one was sure how contagious it was or how you could get it. You'd be giving up your future too. I felt so sorry for her feeling like a leper and for him realizing he had to leave her. Very good acting and still an important subject. She was a very brave young woman and happily there is treatment now and a better outlook for people who find out they have this terrible disease.

Lipstick (1976)

Unpleasant

I would have liked to see more of Perry King in this but nothing could make it a good movie. You couldn't really care about the characters because the only thing it was about was the rape. I have to say though Chris Sarandon was so horrible a person in it I was thrilled she killed him in the end. I wouldn't recommend thos movie though. Hemingway's little sister's acting was good and what little Perry King was In it I enjoyed but other that it just was kind of weird and depressing.

Her Married Lover (1999)

Really enjoyable

I'm reviewing this movie many years after it was made but it could have been made recently. I thought it was better than a lot of TV movies and I loved the twist. You weren't sure who was telling the truth for sure until the end which I loved. Perry King is always good and the acting was good all round. The person who reviewed the movie and said all the men were unattractive must have been a guy. Also, lots of younger women are attracted to older men. In real life King was only 51. Not old. And extremely good looking! Good movie - great ending. I've watched it a few times and always see clues I didn't before. I felt it was cleverly done.

The Perfect Wife (2001 TV Movie)

Enjoyable

I thought I'd reviewed this movie before but don't see it here. I liked it. These movies are for fun. If it followed perfect logic it would be boring. I think a lot of people miss the point. Of course it was frustrating that the doctor wasn't catching on to the crazy 2nd wife but he's just off his honeymoon, starry eyed in love and how many people have we all known who can't see what's wrong with someone they are crazy about until it's too late. Also, why would he suspect his new wife of the crimes? He doesn't know she has a motive and he's grieving his losses. It all just seemed like coincidence to him. I thought Perry King was great, as usual and Shannon Sturges was extremely fun to hate. I'm glad the doctor and his first wife got back together in the end or were obviously going to. I thought there were some ironies compared to Kings real life (no murder of course) but maybe only I would notice them being a big fan. He was a producer on this and I saw about 5 things that could mirror some of his real life events. His father actually was a surgeon named Robert for one. Anyway mine is a much more recent review than these others but as I said I liked it!

Perfect People (1988 TV Movie)

A surprise

I watched it expecting it to be silly but fun. I was surprised to find it pretty topical it now being 2021 and this was out in 1988. It was a little dated but not much even the dancing at the club looked kind of modern. Had funny parts and had a nice and truthful message at the end. I really enjoyed it and Perry King at 40 looked fantastic. Lauren is 5 years older than him and looked good too. Just shows in real life at least those actors showed you don't have to do diets and surgery to look young. I do think they made them look too old for people supposedly in their mid forties.
