L'abécédaire de Gilles Deleuze (1996)
An incredible and approachable introduction to the thought of Gilles Deleuze
25 September 2016 - 4 out of 4 users found this review helpful.
Arguably the most important thinker of 20th century European philosophy, Gilles Deleuze is revealed here to be highly approachable and passionate , while also being quite elusive as a person. He is interviewed by his former student and collaborator Claire Parnet, who is able to create a relaxed enough atmosphere for timid Deleuze to feel comfortable and really open up about almost anything. He speaks of many subjects, you could easily find one letter that would suit you, whether it is desire, animals, philosophy, alcohol, neurology or tennis. Although he covers unrelated disciplines, everything seems to connect together beautifully, just like his own philosophy. Highly recommended to all kinds of thinkers, poets and madmen!
