Peacemaker (2022)
When a show makes you laugh, you stick to it!
Just like with The Boys, the humour is raw, edgy and just true to RL. Instead of these wishy-washy shows with humour that is being censored, I really like this.
Anything that is not main stream these days is a GO! Let the games begin, so to speak.... ;-)
Starstruck (2021)
Deliciously awkward
Bloody hell, I so recgonize myself in this series, except that I am not as quick witted or funny...
I adore this series, kept on watching and wachting and wachting! ♥
Chaos Walking (2021)
Liked it very much!
I was wary of the movie because some of the bad reviews, but as I have read ALL the books I can truly say that I am not disappointed! I
I thought they were going to do a series instead of movies, to deepen out the characters, but this is fine as well. So, all in all they did actually a pretty good job of depicting how I imagined the book(s). The Spackle looked a bit more scarier than I imagined. ;-) And I can't remember the Ship actually already arriving at New World in the first book, but that might be my (bad) memory.
I am looking forward to seeing No. 2 & No. 3.
Debris (2021)
Fringe with Aliens ♥
I really, really like this series - no idea what these sourpusses are talking about. I loved Fringe and X-files and this one is good in my books as well!
Belgravia (2020)
Wonderful surprise
Was totally expecting a boring series, but to my surprise I was totally smitten by it. I can't wait for the next episode and I really am glad I picked up on this.
Star Trek: Discovery (2017)
Wonderful new steps into the beyond
I absolutley love this new season of Star Trek Discovery. I am not sure who these scowling people are that are leaving bad reviews. Probably got stuck in the Seventies version of Star Trek. Times are achanging and for the better as far as I am concerned.
The Passage (2019)
Read the books and yes I love the show!
What a bunch of weasels the ones who have read the book and whinge and whine that this is nothing like the books. I have read all 3 books as well and I love this series. Man up! See this series for what it is; an exciting and adventurous serie loosely based on the books. I have now seen 3 episodes and I can't wait to see more.
The OA (2016)
Swept away
I love, love, love and love this show; the slow pace, the energy and how the story evolves in the now and the so-called past. I am mesmerized by the sound of Prairie's voice (she has got a particular kind of voice that gives me the good kind of goosebumps) on how she tells the story. How we get to understand her love for Homer and the others. How Hap is so scary and seemingly nice. Her parents deep love for her, but you want to slap them at the same time for being so stupid by treating her like a young psychotic child. How you get to see behind the characters in the now and start to understand why they were chosen. This is not a fast paced series, but as the acting is amazing and the story line makes you stay put and you want to see more and more.
But only if you will have some patience in your body and willing to listen to the story that is evolving, you will be in for a major treat. I abhor to think that soon I will have reached the last episode and can't wait for another season!
Zodiac: Signs of the Apocalypse (2014)
Spend 1,5 hours in oblivion
Especially the special effects for the tidal wave were one of the worst I have ever seen.
The screaming girl with the blond/pink hair needs more acting lessons! She seemed to squeak, scream and express fear at almost everything that happened in the movie and not very good at it as well. I felt like slapping her in the face and yell at her; pull it together bitch!
The silly scene where the other woman was being sucked away from the car, I was cringing in despair - I couldn't even watch how stupid this scene was unfolding!
In general a movie for when you don't want to think too much and waste your precious time you could have spend better reading a book.
