Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: Til Death Do Us Part (2021)
Great memories!
I enjoyed the show, but I laughed when the characters distinctly remembered a night that happened 24 years ago! They have much better memories than I do!
The Call of the Wild (2020)
A good movie, if somewhat "Disneyfied"
I enjoyed the movie, despite the Political Correctness added in (there are way more women (esp. decent women) in movie Dawson City than probably existed in the entire Yukon territory in 1901, and the "crazy white guy" has replaced the marauding indian band, but otherwise the movie was enjoyable. My biggest problem was with the animals. The wolves were hunting wild pigs and pheasant! Apparently, the filmmakers didn't think there are enough native animal species in the Yukon, they had to import some from the lower US. Either that, or they didn't think Joe Average would recognize beaver and ptarmigan. Other than that, I found it an enjoyable, if very sanitized, adaptation of the book.
Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018)
Non-stop action
After watching this movie, I was reminded of an interview Harrison Ford once did. He was asked to review his character. His answer: "Han Solo has a knack for getting in and out of trouble. The only problem is his mouth. The more he opens it, the more trouble he gets into." This movie was true to that quote. I thought it an excellent ride.
