Troll 2 (1990)

This is the Troll 2 yo' mama warned you about!
27 December 2007
Warning: Spoilers
I can't leave the house without people talking about this movie! They say Troll 2 this or Troll 2 that, but I haven't been hearing a lot of Troll 2 wow! And to be perfectly honest, I think all you people are overlooking the fact that Troll 2 was not made to capitalize off the wild popularity of the original underground hit, Troll, so much as the existence of Troll 2 was made to truly validate the existence of the first Troll.

Set at the turn of the century, the late 1880s, Troll 2 serves as a prequel that adds to the mythos of what is already a rich tapestry of the Troll canon. Troll 2, a time-traveling, mischief-making apparition, is from the streets.

Julia-Louis Dreyfus who played the beautiful Girlcat (the sexy college professor who sees beyond Troll 2's rough exterior for the man that he is) is NOT in this movie, as it is a prequel, but there are allusions to her and the imminent intertwining of their eventual fate.

See this before you see the first Troll, and then scour the internet for the massive collection of fan fiction, because you're going to have to wait until 2009 for Troll 3! Julia-Louis Dreyfus IS attached, and Brett Ratner is said to be bringing his unique and original vision to the series as both the writer AND director! See you in the theatres!

Spoiler: this movie should come with a raincoat!

Warning: Spoilers
To call this movie a triumph in erotic horror is the understatement of the year, baby! So I was going to the gas station to get me some corn nuts and then I saw this and lady Dracula both for a dollar. Corn nuts and a movie for two dollars? How could I refuse?! So I didn't get that Dracula one because I've had some issues in the past trying to get my groove on during vampire movies because they scare my dog and he usually ends up taking a dump right square on the carpet.

Lady Frankenstein is a 1971 Italian remake of the original Frankenstein, only way more scary and way more erotic. To say this movie defines sexuality detracts from the fact that this movie IS sexuality. Maybe I capitalized the wrong word there, let me retry this. This MOVIE is sexuality. Or even, this movie is SEXUALITY.

I believe "Lady Dracula" is the purest film epitomizing Mary Shelley's vision for her monster, and for her vision of pure, unabashed eroticism.

The only spoiler is that THIS MOVIE ROCKS (in case you were wondering)

Warning: Spoilers
Watching this movie was like staring directly into the writers eyes, as you could truly see the soul of a man in this movie. The two main characters, Hecate and Irving, form a bond within the 83 minutes that most buddy flicks overlook. The many twists and turns they took on their voyage to exorcise the souls of lost loved ones gave me chills, the use of heart rhythms made me nervous, and I got immersed within the realistic sets and period wardrobes.

Normally after a movie I hit the can and then write my review, but this movie, NO, film, moved me incredibly, also, I had too much cheese and shrimp cocktail and its kinda binding me right now. I've taken about 6 Tums and let's just say my lower half STILL feels soggy.

I hope you enjoy this movie as much as I did, and as much as my kids do tomorrow morning when I throw away their Christmas presents and tell them this DVD is all I'm letting them have, and maybe some of that Hormel Chili just so child services doesn't call again.
