Aromatic American fare with oodles of Indian tadka
6 October 2023
Hi, didn't expect this to be so pleasing to grow eyes n taste buds. Though i have left non veg a long back but still I could correlate with the taste n presentation. Its an interesting plot made soothing by its short length n some good acts .

Mandvi is a good actor . Saw him in *music & lyrics" previously. N m in see if jess weixler , such dreamy eyes n that lovely smile . Mind u , not just a pretty face , she acts well too.

Naseeruddin shah is a god's gift . Apart from his negative views on many issues , he is the real "tadka" of th e movie. You feel it picking up pace after his entry.

Both the father n mother are good in n their small roles .

Movie could have been better if paced aptly . Has many good moments . Low budget shows too . Screenplay could have been stronger!

But it's still watchable . A feel good movie n one that can both taste n watch 😋

A riveting biopic like none .
14 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Trust Rakesh sir to bring riveting tales onscreen n make them technically n musically sound . Be it his rang de Basanti or Delhi 6 or this one , he certainly knows how to put a majestic crew of fab actors & not stars and get them to deliver a product for ages !.

And it wil be a fallacy to just give credit to the director and screenplay writer in prasoon joshi.

Since what Farhan akhtar(who i always thought of a better director than an actor) brings to the screen is notjibg but magic . His body transformation, zeal to excel & suffer but still get up to give us a milkha singh which I do not believe anyone else could have done anyway better !.

Be it his impromptu dance moves on finishing 2 tins of ghee in one go or train in rains and in ladakh . I mean this guy gives us a role , a character worth rooting for . One can clearly see the fire in his eyes to excel at being rebuked & laughed at by seniors in army on a trivial matter . And when he takes to the field , its so realistic . No one can point out and say it's the double finishing the races . The hard work shows . Truly a role of a lifetime.

I personally always have liked Pawan Malhotra too . He always is a hidden gem . Here excelling in a role of the guru of milkha in army . Looks and enacts the part like no one else. Truly a master right from his television days ..

A very very technically sound movie . Look for the flashback scenes of partition and massacre . Especially when Farhan deboards a train and sees his past . Also , the rotatory canera work in ladakh while being trained . Visually appealing.

Many mentions of Olympics & asian games with real footage is also something that rarely biopics add .

Screenplay by prasoon joshi capturing intricate details of milkha sir's life capturing his anguish , struggles and path to success .

Hmm , my folly in forgetting Divya Dutta too . A par excellence actor as milkha' sister , just look for her in the scene where Farhan makes him wear his Indian army blazer and she finds new earrings! . Music reminded me of Rahman sir . But that's the beauty of it , by the shankar trio. A hummable , foot tapping. Shankar sir's kid Siddharth gives the track * zinda* a patriotic taste worth remembering for ! Or the effervescent*rangrez* . Thanks to lines and thoughts of prasoon joshi .

Cons ;- Editing . It's too long & the Australian chapter could easily have been reduced by 1/2 an hr.

Stylish & slick Redford sir at his best
26 December 2022
Movie is nothing one may not have seen earlier.

But u still watch it to see Redford sir , do it it the most stylish and poetic manner . Be it his facial expressions, smile or just simply charisma, u can't just ignore him off. A man in his 80s n still can actuch better than many of the younger ones ( read that Casey Affleck) .

One wonders how he can just woo a lady off so easily . N he is such a fine actor , a class apart . An underrated one ,a master of his craft .

Ably supported by Mrs sissy spacek who too dishes off similar charming act . These two really looked lovely together.

A slow burn of a movie but enjoyable.

Just grab a snack and your lady love( if u r lucky) and watch it . U won't b disappointed.

One's eyes will get blurred of any drowsiness.
25 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I really am not n bothered whether it's a remake or not . But just like *badla* it's well made , albeit the same Spanish writer. But as they say to copy also one needs to be smart .

And there lies the good part .

Mr. Ajay bahl has did the job so fantastically that even if I remained terrified through out but stil couldn't stop watching it !

It may be gory and dark but all the misty environment, hilly setting gives it that spooky feel .

The camerawork is top notch with low lighting , further enhancing the thrill.

Tapsee looks and acts same . Can't really describe her . But the find is abhilash , who is also seen in recently released *faadu* on Sony . His role is less but enacted greatly . A star of the future .

Though I did find some plot elements that could have been better explained.like 1) Her hubby leaves a voice note saying he has an affair . But the killer says , the lady victim loved her !!

2) in the end , a mutilated body with name tag of "Deepak" is shown kept in a wooden box. So the killer had killed the actual nurse and filling in for him ?

3) if he did have done that , how come doctor says that is trustworthy & how come he knew about meds and dosing ?

4) Its told that lady victim had got operated. Did she also took services of the same male nurse as her sister ? Doctor fails to say anything related to it !!

5) If the male nurse accompanied the victim to a hotel n stayed , just a week back , why is no one able to tell anything about his face , height etc ??

6) the killer goes around killing in a hotel , then in a parking lot and is shown very smart .

But later his mother says that he has always been useless and she has to shut him inside for days!? Why so 7) That young girl Ira stays away but only at the end comes with the revelation about the killer! That too when the killer lived in the vicinity .. 8) What really was the problem with the girl , no light shed over it !

9) how come doctor let's the lead leave hospital after eye surgery with fully bandaged eyes , no company also to help !!

10) What exactly was the medical condition with both the sisters ?!

A master in jaoaquin with spectacular camerawork & futuristic idea
21 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I saw Joaquin phoenix in *gladiator* and was bowled by the evil portrayed by him . And here in Her, with a simple but innovative idea , he delivers such a restrained and yet a powerful performance. A man who emotes with his eyes and his body Lingo just so nesmerisingly changes with every scene . He carries the film on his able shoulders , even in dull moments .

Talking of dull , dull maybe the screenplay at places but the film is shot so spectacularly well . All the camera angels and the lighting are just so beautiful. Like the work of a magician. Both outdoors and indoors are replete with colors and lights of natural hues , making the affair worth more than just a watch .

Not to take awayvany credit from the seductive voice of *Scarlett Johansson* . She without a scene in person , but still speaks and emotes with full flurry of emotions . I mean u hear and not surprising to watch Joaquin fall for her voice laden with rich emotions .

Mr. Spike , a truly restrained direction ofsuch a unique idea , that too way back in 2014! . And to present it quite convincingly n with conviction. Though it drags a bit sometimes and a sharper editing would have been good .

But just one problem, why does she leave him at the end ? Not clearly defined in the movie . It felt so abrupt .

A masterpiece of story telling & the rockstar DS
3 December 2022
An ode to master himself,mr." Guru dutt "and his "kagaz ke phool" and an eye-opener .

Balki sir , what a splendid direction by you . I had quit reviewing for sometime but couldn't stop . A beautiful crafted , detailed n slick thriller . So technically superior, all those camera angles , background music paying homage to guru dutt sir and keeping it so engaging.

One gets the feel from starting about who could be the killer and midway , he is shown too .

But still if the tight editing, marvellous performances and your "never getting tired" direction can still keep the viewer invested in your work , then it really speaks up for itself.

DS , man i loved your act . It had that spooky sinister feel but at the same time endearing too . You speak up through your eyes , be ur your dancing in rains or your heinous executions , you do it with so much passion !! . Am just so bowled by your performance.

Miss Shreya too looks the part , a natural actor , unlike actors of today , you make the film watchable. There is this innocence in your act .

Sunny deol sir , welcome back . A truly restrained act on your part but you excel .

N kudos to the story writing , the script .

Writers .

This movie made me fathom as if I am watching some Hollywood flick . We dint make these types here .. A lovely homage to guru dutt sir and his work .

Really a masterpiece.

Authentic Kashmir series married by loopholes in script
27 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Hi, so we binge watched first 7 episodes in a single sitting . Then waited for a Friday for 8th and it was excellent too but now from 9th to 10th God only knows kya ho gaya writers ko !!.

Loved it's real Kashmir locations, people , dialect especially. Kashmir looks so scenic & especially with local people as cast gives it such a raw , real feel . I also loved acting of some , the likes of Umar riyaz , doctor Farah , zainab , Toshi , mr. Rajat kapoor are quite good.. Rajat kapoor is always so restrained and suave . Till 8th episode, it's tooo gripping and one will feel unable to resist temptation of not watching next .

But from 9th episode, all mayhem in script comes to the fore . Even after knowing the panther's location , no one tries to go and nab him !!

Lead manav viz just goes around and no one identifies him as a cop! He suddenly loses interest in his love affair !

Panther's main henchman (srk lookalike) can just go and meet anyone , but security forces won't ever grab him !!.

The later saw manav viz from a distance but still doesn't recognise him as a cop!

This Junaid wil one day go and confess his love for his cousin , doctor Farah and she just fresh out of affair , tells him " to give her time "!!

What happened guys? It was going so strong . Why have you incorporated so many loopholes n cliches !!

Was really loving it and now don't wish to complete it !

Why was the movie made !!?
17 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
After watching movie i read about the operation & found similar info. I mean if it's readily available then why should one watch this slow movie !

Also in such movies , climax is the most important, but it just ended so swiftly . They could have given a rousing fight scene but it is shown that the antagonists couldn't even fire a bullet !!

Also , if the operation continued for 7 days , why didn't even a single person attempt to flee! Both Daniel bruhl(whom I loved) in rush and the James bond girl are wasted.

Plus the planning for the operation is shown as too novice . Seems the makers didn't have any budget for production design ! .

Utter bore 😴

A grandiose spectacle of hi octane action.
23 July 2022
Hmm , i don't really know what people want , who are giving low stars .

On a Saturday night , what a soul needs is such stuff with loads of action so nicely orchestrated. Really liked dhanush too in a small cameo . He infact fought better than Ryan . Cherry on the cake was Chris Evans , a ruthless evil creature with some beautiful sarcastic lines . Looks the part .

What makes a soldier!
10 July 2022
Major sandeep unnikrishnan based biopic is such a dreamy watch . I still felt the same goosebumps dat i felt after watching it in theatre .

Adivi sesh in the lead gives an outstanding act , determination clearly seen in his eyes , excels in emotional, romantic n action moments alike.

Tight editing means there r no dull moments, some classical acting by prakashji and the effervescent revathi mam keeps the spectator unmoved in his seat .

Even Sai manjrekar looks so endearing n just nails it in traditional attire , such beautiful eyes .

Mr.sikka , thank u for giving us such a wonderful fare ,i truly felt i should b in there n be a soldier .

Hats off team.

A decent watch
1 May 2021
Depicts how a lazy guy gets tricked by his father to learn the importance of life and time and start inculcating good habits .. It definitely is a watch in one's free time . Good hopeful movie with a good message . Most of the characters are also decent in their roles . Could have done better with a tighter script and editing ..

Poetry on celluloid with a cute innovative old world romance
28 December 2019
Some movies are not your typical romantic movies where the protagonists look and fall in love at the first sight ! Some rare ones do not need them to see each other since love is more of an inner spiritual feeling .. this movie falls in the 2nd category . An official adaptation of a Thai movie , we do not see the protagonists in the same frame till the very last . But that's where its beauty lies ! By reading personal diary of the female lead, our hero comes to know and develops feelings for her . And this is also what even love is all about !! Isn't it ? It may happen at first sight but it's the "lyrics" the frequency , the connection that makes it blossom !! Parnutan bahl in her debut sparkles , especially in her smiles , leaving a grace reminiscent of her grandmother , the ever affable nutan mam . I especially liked her dialogue delivery n overall persona . Zaheer as the lead tries to give it his best and succeeds in some moments . Lots to catch up with man. Adorable are the cutest little tiny tots , 5-6 of them , . They form the backbone of the movie . Dialogues by sharib hashmi ,( the lead character of director Nitin kakkar's national award winning film) are mostly good .. have potential in them like " a mobile network is seldom found when peace & weather stay fine ".. Direction is top notch and keeps u rooting for the leads . It may look a purely romantic movie over the surface but has touched upon some issues like militancy in Kashmir , exit of Hindu Kashmiris , education & problems local people feel due to long standing apathy !

But the most moving , infact the most endearing part is the *cinematography", simply outstanding . One to die for ! I have seen such beautiful Kashmir in mainstream movies (laila-majnu dud show some) .. the mornings , the cloud laden skies , the evening setting sun , the reflection of bridges in clear waters , the shikaras cruising through the serene waters of the valley , purely romantic feel ... Kudos to Mohit .. great work..

P.s.- enjoy this old school romance with your loved one embracing you

An unimitable ode to life & friendship .
29 September 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Chhicchore, the word may give one a feeling of what is going to be served ! But only half an hour in the movie and I had my notions dispelled ! What with proceedings so full of laughs and novel but clearly "lived by all" situations .. the dear hostel life where many a "mummy" (I too was one) become "Annie" (the know all) studs .. As one points out , one enters alone but leaves after being part of a family of such dear friends , ones who will be always there in times of need fostering an Unbreakable bond.. One may think that it's just any other college movie like "jo jeeta wohi sikander"!! But it's more on lines of "3 idiots" not as great and preachy though ! . Where the latter preached that one must choose a profession where one can excel , in here they tell us that passing exams is not the only benchmark . They come and go . But what is more important is how one deals with it , how one prepares for it ! Like "love" , one usually doesn't get it back but it's the feeling that must be enjoyed .. One will be remembering the days of ragging and mind you , there is such an innocent feel to it that the seniors only become your best friends.. The days of togetherness , late night teas and masti .. the flirtings and chartings.. there are so many lovely moments in the flick that on leaving and for many days , u will recollect the old days of no-responsibilities , fun frivolous life ! Look for how Sushant gets scared & fidgety on speaking to a girl for the very first time !! Acting is top notch and the best part is all if these 6 characters have been given enough space and screen time to showcase their acting skills . Sushant as always works hard and there is nothing he can not do ! . The "bevda" , the "stud" Tahir bhasin , "mummy" , "sexa" , "acid" , these do not appear any caricatures .. but ones we all may have experienced or seen or been with in past ! .. "Sexa" in particular with the best lines and top notch funny expressions is the one too look upto .. Tahir bhasin and acid are too good in their respective parts , especially I loved the spontaneity of "acid" . "Mummy" fits the bill perfectly , do look for his swollen "finger" towards the end . Shraddha looks world's apart but I am really not sure about her acting . Really creditable to the team of nitish to write such a screenplay where everyone gets space to breathe in ! With full marks to his direction and screenplay , and the casting by Mukesh chhabra , this movie is one to be EXPERIENCED and not just 'binge-watched" over mobile ! ..

Love is a blessing but always incomplete .
15 September 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Kedarnath is a gem which clearly portrays how true love does not see caste/religion/marital status & can happen to anyone anytime . It also dwells into that only rarely it gets completed &fulfilled . Coming to performances , Mukesh chhabra as always chooses a good supporting cast especially the lead actress's father and sister & fiancee .. Sushant is too notch in here with a subdued , composed & endearing act and his onscreen chemistry with Sara is one to watch for . They together give the movie some of the best moments ..The amount of hard work put in by Sushant is there to see .. Sara in her dubutante role gets the best lines and majestic dresses and leaves us all wishing for more from the talented actress .

Coupled with such a soothing romantic tunes by Amit trivedi , ones I am still listening especially "Jaan nisaar" penned so much poetically by Amitabh & sung melodiously by arijit Singh .. Technically , I loved the shooting locations away from the hustle bustle and sins of cities . Even the tragedy scenes at the end feel quite real and enough to give goosebumps . Why is it that Abhishek Kapoor always writes a tragic ending for Sushant !!!! .. A great romantic watch .

Not to b missed romantic comedy
5 June 2019
One of the romantic comedies which always finds mention in my arsenal of feel good movies . A cunning selfish boss in Sandra bullock finds her checkmate in her assistant n our future Deadpool hero . A lady who has always been alone n devoid of serious relationship n family finds & instantly develops fondness for the family values of the guy ' family . Though she had initially tried to use it for her cause but by the time she realises the importance of it , she is in love ! .. Watch it for the pure love n quite good chemistry between the leads . For Sandra who always does her roles with aplomb n sincerity. For the heavenly n serene locals of an unknown location where everyone knows u , away from the hustles n bustles of our fast paced lives .. for some true laughs n no nonsense romance ..

Humorous+Great supporting cast+no nonsense approach - ek ladki ko Dekha....
3 February 2019
For last couple of years , the scripts & well acted/directed movies are taking the mainstream by storm! This flick too with its ensemble of lively & lovely actors given some beautiful dialogues & given able support as well as screen time by the debutante director , proves that.. First of all , must say I have been great admirer of anil sir(Mukesh ambani of moga🤣) , who with his wide array of roles & next to perfect acting , has not got true credit!! He lights up the screens with his light hearted act ably assisted by Mrs juhi ( in a must see "mind -shattering comedy😆😆) .. And there is nothing that Raj does wrong these days, confident & truly any director's actor!! .. Other supporting cast too cone out with aplomb.. With a run time just shy of 2hours, this movie abstains from unnecessary songs & action . Felt like one of the yesteryears with sarson ke khet , delivering of love letter by courier & true family spirit .. Dealing with an important topic and really delivered in a nuanced manner using humour and abstaining from unimportant melodrama. Watch it for the anil & juhi chemistry , feel good factor & rajkumar .. Great script , direction mam..

True showcase of national patriotic fervour & 'high'
20 January 2019
Mr .Kaushal, what a smashing n engaging performance n complete overhaul of Ur looks n physique n vocals . you truly make d movie our own. Plus Mr. Mohit too leaves a long lasting impression in his small but significant role. What a tight editing n screenplay n importance on detailing.. indeed the USP is it's focus on detailing right from close resemblance of reel life characters based on politicians ; sequence of events. Flick scores well on its two twists in the 2nd half taking it away from the predictable course ! Patriotism at all time high. Fills one with so much of high & urge to be of some worth to outlet beloved nation .. 1st half packed with so many teary moments. The scenes between Vicky & his sister & his niece are too good.. Also praiseworthy are the surgical strikes scenes & proper n adequate training and planning.. Director kudos to you for a great debut . If only the music department had been as good!!

M shocked to witness d treatment metted out to such a lovely movie.. with soulful music, swift direction , great lyrics , mesmerising cinematography n good acting , wat else do u want.. in d land of romantic flicks starring srk n Aamir , this movie is still nt able to garner attention n box office numbers.. I am appalled .. Such a different take on romance n heartbreak .. I still recollect not able to move at all in the second half.. . We as audience are becoming so unacceptable to good cinema

True love never dies.
9 September 2018
In a nutshell , if a team of actors & able directors can make audience sit back in silence and be remorseful at many a occasions , then that movie must be carrying some soul of it !!! When the movie entered it's climax , not even a soul moved outside for atleast a minute !!!, First half is chirpy n young romance at its best with flirting, long mobile talks, eye to eye contact, repeated meetings amidst a beautiful scenery of Kashmir .. The chinars and the Dal lake with sone beautiful shots of the setting sun give you the goosebumps.. beautiful camera work . Both tripti and Avinash never look like it's their debut!! Infact , tripti who has been dressed up in gorgeous pinks/ greens/oranges steals many a scenes wit her grace .. but the star of the show is Avinash , Bollywood's next big thing .. With a heavy voice n a great screen presence , he has imbibed the nuances of his character like no one else and especially proves his talent in the second half! I was teary- eyed many a times at his plight.. And other big plus that attracts one is the music and lyrics .. Away from the routine tamasha songs of today , the romantic soft melodious tunes which gel well with the scenes and convey a lot.. especially , Laila, aahista and Hafiz.. and kudos to the effervescent irshad sir for writing some good poetry for celluloid.. A must watch , to just experience the power of true love and heartbreak!

Tip- wait till the end ,for the title song. - Carry your handkerchiefs..

qarib qarib perfect
12 November 2017
Mesmerising. A very good romantic flick after a long time . One without any vulgarity n unnecessary scenes. One that can be watched with parents too. A lesson maybe for the newbie directors that good movies can still be made without much of a story line, if u have other factors going. A boy meets a girl, girl is initially not inclined but soon they are one. Nothing as far as d story goes. But, it's d treatment meted out by d screenplay writer of #dill to pagal hai#, that seals it all. Star of the show is the chemistry that the leads share, that sense of adorability n innocence they portray, not to take away any credit from their acting. Irfan is definitely a very good actor, n with his witty lines n comic timing is a perfect but annoying suitor . Miss parvathy , winner of many Filmfare awards in south, is a revelation. She just breezes through her part. She may b a bit chubby but is such a beautiful actress, so restrained but ready to unleash herself . Her subtle smile n sweet acting is in perfect antagonism to the swag n outspoken Irfan. They both have been provided some charismatic situations n great dialogue s to keep d movie engaging. Only a little dose of music meaning a quick ending keeps d ship afloat unlike that of recently released #harry meets sejal# bombarding us with unnecessary contrived scenarios n over dosage of songs.. Though I must admit , ending could have been better done. Highly recommended for anyone wishing to seek a good time pass road trip.

its all about being akshay
24 January 2016
I have never been a fan of akshay with his so works including only action & commando roles, but one must see this flick to actually witness the macho man deliver an act of his life..be it his eyes, his mannerisms or simply his anguish or frustration, it all is one hell of a work & simply outstanding... also praiseworthy is the fact that the production house had the guts to take upon this forgotten piece of history 7 bring it alive on celluloid with being known to all that there have not been many movies in India similar to this.. Plus to the team for keeping the tension up & not making the script bogged down by too much of melodrama.. It does make me proud to be an Indian , a sure watch...

a cute different romantic outing
10 October 2015
first things first, this ain't a dil to pagal hai/ kuch kuch hota hai.. But it still is watchable thanks to its cutesy take on love. i mean the theme of ' there is someone made for you & you will definitely meet him " , this all has been explored time & again in our movies. But getting to know about each other through anonymous letters & then actually meeting in person is indeed quite cool, though may be old as a concept but still is lovely.. i am all praise for the leads , especially hrithik who sleepwalks through the role & especially is adorable while vocalizing serious lines..God only knows what the audience wished of him to have lambasted his serious effort when the flick released.. Not to forget esha( her debut??) ,hers is the quite researched role of that of a young , a bit childish but mature in thinking types . She looks good in some moments & though her acting may not be class apart but she does justice to her role..Director does have potential of telling a good story,in fact i specially liked the serious scenes & romantic web he created.. Not at all a bad offering.. Ya, music is a big let down & to add to that the female playback singing is pathetic.. A romantic flick has to have a good hummable music which indeed was simply absent here...

A Good Year (2006)
a no- nonsense feel-good offering.
30 May 2015
Well, it ain't a in your face offering. in fact its something better watched with your loved one cosying around you on a lazy Sunday noon with loads of popcorn , nachos gulped down with hot brewing coffee.. I had it planned for a long long time but after going through the critics' perceptions , I had held myself back... But a day back i finally got my senses back & tried experimenting .. And boy, i was surprised by its sweet, & endearing aspect.. Here we have a very rich & tech savvy investment broker who is shown to get rich dividends for his company .. He is informed of his uncle's death & legacy of a huge vineyard & a estate left in his name.. From here obviously its pretty clear about what is going to happen next.. But wait, who cares!! Coming from the stables of accomplished director ,the late Mr. Scott & ably acted by the versatile Mr. crowe, just sit back & enjoy the proceedings.. In fact, the lead character by his acting & quirky dialog delivery keep the proceedings smooth & breezy.especially , the parts where his past pops up portraying his conversations & lessons learned from his uncle are the strong point of the movie. these poke him into kissing his present English life & settle down in the countryside. I specially loved the location of the shoot, so very picturesque, peaceful , away from the harrowed noisy by-lanes that a city life offers..perfect for a romantic getaways.. a feel-good flick that is indeed watchable.

cinematic excellence wondrously depicted on screen by the maestro
8 April 2015
what a movie, i m impressed!! i had watched the movie long time back but somehow watching it now poked me to write something about it.. Take a bow mani sir & his able team.. Not frequently one gets to witness such tight screenplay & stellar acts by the main & the supporting cast.. And it really is difficult to point out the best of them.. such is the direction accorded.. Tight screenplay, edge of the seat narration , acting, action sequences & still fresh music by rehman sir, keep the spectator stuck to his/her seat. told in flashbacks, another deviation from the leak, this flick winds together stories of three different couples to a common point & takes forward. All three tales are good, excellently detailed & acted upon.. Such is the brilliance exhibited that one can not really single out a particular one, but still abhishek's was the best.. Though ajay as usual was at his cunning best.. Abhishek's was best as he has not performed that well till now.. special mention of the lady love portrayed by rani, she oozes liveliness in her role & gives it her bindaas touch.. Ajay gets to vocalize some good lines but he walks away effortlessly, a tailor made act for him.. Vivek as a flirt, suits the role well & his romantic angle 7 metamorphosis into a serious guy, is laudable too... Not to forget the supporting cast, especially the versatile om puri, enthralling with his shrewd, bad politics & some nicely done Bengali diction.. But what keeps the the three stories together is the sheer excellent music & background score by the maestro himself, one which is still hummable & feels new & fresh, guess even after 15 years..Such is the novelty factor associated with the tunes, ones still popular in discotheques.. In all, a great piece of work. thank you mani sir.
