The Fall of the House of Usher (2023)

Vincent Price, Batman and the 60s walk in a bar

Of course, this isn't the first piece of work that was inspired by Poe, but it definitely is the best. From Vincent Price to Kevin Bacon's short-lived TV series. I found this short series very entertaining and a very good use of Edger Allen Poles work. You can find several easter eggs of poetry throughout the series, making it even more entertaining to those familiar. Compared to Vincent Prices movies that now that I think about it could be compared to the nineteen sixties batman TV series. The acting is excellent, the story is familiar and brand new. The dark and haunting writings of Poe bleed through this show. An excellent treat so close to Halloween.

Extraction II (2023)

Amazing

From the first scene till the last you won't have time unless you pause for a bathroom break. The direction of this movie like the first is top notch. The brothers know action.

This character is human not a super man that can't be hurt. If you want a none stop thrill of adrenaline this movie is it. The flow of shots, the character building, the action is what an adventure action movie must have. Infinity war will always be a great movie. This movie will do nothing but build on thier great body of work. There are movies that have a lot of gun play and car chasing scenes. This movie puts you in the middle of this making you waiting for the next one. There will be a next one.

Colin in Black & White (2021)

There is a book called million dollar slave, the comparison is a perspective from an African Americans experience in America. There is a joke that goes, what do you call a Black man with a PHD, a luxury car and a family man? A ni$$er, is what half of America will call him. Thats what half of these reviews are doing now. The movie is educational and worth a watch.

No Sudden Move (2021)

Detroit in its finest

So many areas of Detroit that remains the same from the fifties, which allowed this movie to go forward with talent. I will consider this Devil in a Blue dress two, the Detroit version. I liked this film, I watched eagled eyed for street that I knew, on top of the story. I enjoyed this tale.

Broken Trail (2006)

The meaning of being a man

I love this film, where man's inhumanity to man has no meaning, when it comes to real men. Men doing a job come up on a problem and they help solve it instead of adding to it. As usual Robert Duvall is excellent And reminds me of my grandfather, This is not just some Gunslinger ridiculous shootout Western this is a movie with meaning and understanding that we are all human and should all be treated as such. I highly recommended it.

Predators (2010)

How did we go from this movie to the 2018 sequel? They were so close with this idea that they could have made at least three more movies about this planet with even more dangerous Aliens. Humans are dangerous predators. Like my title stated it's like they had the football lined up and you went in to make the kick, the the studios yanked a good plot away to make the 2018 Predator which is horrible.

Underwater (2020)

There is no Dustin Hoffman, Samuel Jackson or Sharon Stone in this underwear tale. There's no immediate plot, other than a failure of equipment. When an antagonist is shown, it is not built upon this was made in 2017 and should have stayed there.

Yesterday (III) (2019)

I just wanted to be surprised, I so wanted to be surprised but I knew by the end of the movie it was going to end up exactly how I knew it would. The protagonist was going to feel remorse about taking credit for someone else's music and he was going to tell the crowd........big surprise I was not surprised at all. But other than that I mean they're playing The Beatles catalog and the actor is quite capable of singing.

It was the worst of times and it was also the worst of times. I don't know how many times they've attempted to tell this story but this I believe is the biggest failure. Jennifer Lawrence is absolutely terrible as Mystique she is not invested in the role whatsoever she does not stay in her mutant form because Jennifer Lawrence did not want to wear the makeup and it's obvious, which goes against mystique's character completely. There's no defined villain in this movie, it's an after thought, everything in this movie is. The X-Men seem to be bit players in their own story, with lackluster performances by all. Reshoots did not help, bad CGI. The only good thing about this movie is that this will be Fox's last time handling this property.

The Man Who Killed Hitler and Then the Bigfoot (2018)

A great film

How was this not given the attention it so deserves, I found myself instantly interested in this mans life and all the pain and misery he had endured in his long life. The story is very entertaining, do yourself a favor and treat yourself to some golden age of movie making escapism.

The Boss (2016)

I can't believe I didn't want to go see this after being let down by Trainwrek, but I went and watched it and loved this unapologetic film for adults, it was made for adults to forget your problems and laugh.

This movie relies on physical comedy, adult jokes, that shines in the same standard of Caddy Shack. Making fun of lesbians? Seriously who has the balls to do that anymore?! Right off the back you know not to take this COMEDY serious, if you go to forget the worlds problems and not bring them with you, its a good time, for adults.

Absolutely fantastic time.

I found myself comparing Melissa McCarthy's role to Donald Trump, how is that not funny, in anyway the slapstick humor is what I expected from McCarthy. Peter Dinklage's role was funny, because its a comedy. I got the feeling that he was playing a person who just happened to be a small person.

There is mix violence/vulgarity, I seen as an up to date Laverne & Shirley, great cast too, on line with Deadpool, Hot Fuzz, etc.), but The Boss definitely is a great ride if you are there to laugh.

I loved the film. I recommend it for a good time with friends.

Lucifer (2016–2021)

Watch Horns the movie

I can not believe the premise of this show, who pitched this? have they completely ran out of ideas for cop shows, Police Officers have been teamed up with ghost, dogs, puppets, and even their mothers, now wait for it, now we have Lucifer the king of Hell. I have seen this done better in a movie called Horns, if this was a comedy I would completely understand but its not funny, its not fantasy, because who would fantasies about this lame pair up. Stop or the devil will shoot, the devil leaves hell because he no longer wants to play the part God has given him, OK, then he decides to play gum shoe to revenge the death of some random human that I guess we should just guest she means something to him, his partner even tells him stop caring your the Devil, AWWWWW! Terrible show.
