Les liaisons dangereuses (2022)
It's entertaining but far from the book.
People need to chill, it is clearly not intended to be a perfect adaptation of the book but it does match its main message.
Which is from my personal interpretation a representation of the malice and manipulation that society, pride, status, money and fame can bring into a relationship seen through the angle of youth and social media.
I must admit it's super cringy and sometimes weird but it's entertaining and intended for the younger crowd.
Yes there is LGBTQ+ characters, yes there is a polyamorous relationship so what ? You don't have to support it but it does not make it a terrible movie that deserves a 1 rating.
Definitely not a movie you watch at the cinema, but something you can watch at home without feeling like you wasted your time.
The Old Guard (2020)
Nearly there...
The acting is quite good, Charlize is amazing as usual. The plot is really interesting, I fell they did not make the most out of it, but it's Netflix so I guess it's ok.
Music was bad, not all fitting with the scenes and sometimes even disturbing the watch.
7 out of 10.
