Road to Paloma (2014)
Road To Paloma Review
I for one think this film was an excellent work of art. The story was great in my opinion, and it honestly was a different type of tale. Going into the movie I knew the back story, since I had watched some of Jason Momoa's earlier interviews, where he had stated that a lot of serious crimes happen in the native area, but are not taken seriously by the public.
This film shows the different aspects of Jason Momoa's work and greatness! I can see why he was tired of being type-cast as the big tough guy - and hopefully this film changes people's thoughts about him and his work. Momoa's acting was very strong, as was the writing and the directing! The directing was just awesome - the wide shots were amazing and it really captured the beauty of land and natural structures.
Lastly, the soundtrack was phenomenal and let's not forget Robert Mollohan's portrayal as Cash. His performance was really under-shadowed, and he really deserves some recognition.
In conclusion, I feel this movie was amazing. With a mere $600,000 budget, the cast and the story were outstanding. Being tired of sequels and prequels, this is an original tale, which is definitely worth a watch.
The Red Road (2014)
The Red Road boasts amazing performances!
First off, The Red Road is an amazing production! SundaceTV really out-did themselves with this show! The story quickly picked up and is ripened every episode, with as mentioned earlier, amazing performances! This leads me to my next point; Jason Momoa - coming off Game of Thrones and Bullet To The Head, he is delivering some great acting. Momoa's character of an ex-con, and a family man creates depth in not only the character, but his acting as well! Not to forget, Martin Henderson is delivering amazingly as well - a caring officer and also a family man. Overall, The Red Road is a must watch due to the performances, the writing and the story itself. Hopefully, this is the beginning of a great and long- running series!!
Graceland (2013)
This is definitely worth a watch
This show is another masterpiece by Jeff Eastin! This is a slightly different show with an edge with absolutely great actors. Aaron Tveit who is killing it as Mike as a rookie cop who is investigating one of his own friends. Keeping secrets comes in a deadly price; and the writing of this show is spectacular. Every episode leaves a cliff-hanger leaving the audience at the edge of their seat. Daniel Sunjata who portrays Paul Briggs, the most experienced cop in the house but has an inflicted past that always comes back to haunt him is amazing! Sunjata's acting as a "zen" cop that knows he is in trouble just puts his acting gift to a whole new level. I want the secondary characters later like JT and DJ to get bigger roles and maybe more darker ones too. Hopefully this show continues to get better with each episode and hopefully has a long run as well (keeping fingers crossed)!
Pacific Rim (2013)
Amazing
This movie was absolutely amazing! The visual effects were out of this world and the soundtrack composed by Ramin Djawadi was just downright epic! The story line was good as well as the directing. Exceptional acting by Charlie Hunnam and Rinko Kikuchi. Del Toro out-proved everybody with the amazing sets as well as the realistic Kaiju's. The "drift" story was original and interesting just like this movie. It is actually amazing how these sets were made in real life including the huge head of the Jaeger. Charlie Day's character got a bit annoying but Ron Perlman definitely handled his part like a legend. Without doubt, this movie is worth a watch, and most probably a second! Hopefully there is a sequel in the works, so we can enjoy another original masterpiece!
