Isaac Hayes: Live at Montreux 2005 (2005)
Isaac Hayes at his purest
I know and never stopped loving Isaac Hayes's music and lyrics since the mid 60's. What I consider unique is his exceptional talent to form orchestras, to select instruments and artists to combine perfectly with his style. Isaac's intelligence, his musical and lyrical creativeness, his huge capacity to make everybody in the audience stop, listen and vibrate in syntony with his heart and voice is second to none. He was a really conscious citizen of the world, worried with the future of nature and humanity. Who pays attention will never forget his messages. So imagine how high was my expectation to assist to Isaac live in Montreux for the first time after 40 years!! Until 3 hours before the show it was unclear if he would come - maybe because of Luther Vandross's death. He was all heart, so who was there had Isaac Hayes at his purest. Great show, unforgettable!
Flying Clipper - Traumreise unter weissen Segeln (1962)
A marvellous bit of Mediterranean glamour
When I saw this movie for the first time in 1963 (just 15 years old) it deeply impressed me.
A spectacular bit of cinema, a Geography lesson of the Mediterranean Sea second to none. The high society and the glamour of those years has been very well captured and the magnificent pictures taken with "Super 70mm" technology were something very special at that time!
The soundtrack composed by Riz Ortolani brought a beautiful background melody that I never forgot.
If you know the real value of dreams (like Alexis Zorbas!), go for it!
Obs.: When writing the review of a movie I take care to consider all factors and circumstances of that period, because otherwise I may measure things with inappropriate gauges.
