Great and true to form
24 February 2024
This is how it's done. Even the cadence of speech is similiar to the voice actors of the animated series. This is how it is supposed to be done, don't add but just stick to the original.

Ok so I'm just one episode deep into the series but I can already tell how much they've triee with this and it will be rewarded. Upgraded my account to 4K just to watch this in all its glory.

Some scenes are really shot by shot and frame by frame from the animated series AND THIS IS HOW YOU DO IT. Don't mess with perfection.

Great actors, great direction, great FX snd TRUE to source. Keep doing what you're doing Netflix, give fans what they want as opposed to BS like The Witcher.

The Lair (2022)

Not terrible but not good
6 November 2022
The movie is filled with tropes and lacks at least one solid actor. Neil is not doing himself any favors by including Kirk in the movie, which as lead is perhaps one of the weakest points. Previous semi low budget horror movies from the director such as Dog Soldiers where filled with solid acting which elevated a pretty basic script.

The movie feels very uneven and some of the few CGI scenes is almost comically bad. Luckily the stayed with practical effects for most of the monster stuff.

A lot of the lines felt contrived and cringe. All things considered though, it's not horrible. Still, I'd rather watch The Descent or Dog Soldiers again..

Watchable but uses the ol' netflix inclusive checkboxes
28 August 2022
It's a pretty decent comedy but with a tone that feels a little malplaced. Some over the top cussing and sexual inserts that makes it kind of weird to watch with a younger audience, at the same time that it has some themes that seemed aimed at a family watching.

Also of course manages to tick off the usual woke netflix checkboxes, genderfluid, interacial, "my wife", etc etc. Kind of a shame. It adds nothing to the actual story, it feels like someone just added in there to tick the boxes.

Main actors are solid, supporting not so much. Netflix really need to get it's act together if they want to keep me as a paying customer.

Garbage show
2 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I give up. I really tried giving this show a chance after suffering through ep 1 and 2. But for some reason even the whole delivery between Obi and Vader was..empty, weak and flat. Really weird sound-design also. And a fire stops Vader? The writing is so bad it makes my brain hurt. Reva goes to another planet to..send out drones.. meanwhile Vader lands? What is happening? Who dreamed this up? Terrible. I'm out.

A classic

Watching this movie warns my heart. So many menories watching this when I was younger. Simple, straightforward plot with a healthy dose of patrionism and gusto.

Fantastic movie
17 April 2022
Movie is subtle, slow, brutal and beautiful. Ben Affleck is fantastic. This deserves to be a franchise in itself just like the Bourne movies. In some ways even more.

Perhaps the best animation I've ever seen

Stunning. Simply stunning. Fight scenes are out of this world. Non stop action in super fidelity. It's like the studio is trying to outdo themselves, snd they're doing it.

My favorite feel-good growing up

I still revisit it every now and then as an adult. It's a sweet, funny movie with a big heart. Fox is fantastic as always but so are all the other actors. I love it.

One of the best action movies ever
17 September 2021
To me this is the perfect action movie. Actors, story, emotion and fast paced non-stop action scenes. Terminator 1 started the saga and Terminator 2 finished. All other sequels and prequels pales in comparison. It's such a darn shame that this franchise was run into the ground following this epic movie.

I will be watching for whatever Scott Ryan touches next. The whole series was nothing short of a breathtaking run between slice-of-life, characters, quiet, suspension and violence. I absolutley loved. Sad to see the series go but happy that it ended on such a high note.

At first I was put off by the generic carbon-copies of DC characters and the chunky art direction. One episode in I was hooked and loving it. With series like this and "Primal" - 2021 has been a great year for animation.

Good show but where are the other countries??
17 January 2021
Way too much US, AUS and NZ. Sweden finished in a very decent position but got zero camera time. Amazon Prime is not only for US any more. And for gods sake, show a leaderboard now and then.

I don't need a silly sitcom to do a social commentary and go all woke on me. I turned this episode mentally off in my brain.

Catch this in the cinema
6 November 2005
Awesome gripping horror/thriller. I saw this on DVD but now wished I had payed up and caught it at the cinema. Ninety minutes of pure suspense, resembling movies like Dog Soldiers and 28 Days. The only flaws that annoyed me where certain illogical turns in the movie.. but then again it s hard to even begin to envision how you would act under even circumstances remotely similar to that of the characters in the movie.

The characters are well drawn and evolve with the story, the monsters look absolutely disgusting and the direction and lightning is excellent.

In short. See this, best horror/suspense of the year.

Absolute crap
24 December 2004
Warning: Spoilers
I can't believe me and my friend just picked this movie up from a local Blockbuster. I feel so insanely ripped off.. I'd might as well have given some random guy four dollars, asked him to run around with the camera in a dark hallway, scream, smear ketchup on his face and in general just be the most horrid actor you could ever, ever, ever imagine.

Then again.. after this I would myself have to grow incurably insane and loose all ability to even remotely edit the DV tape and go completely haywire in some mediocre video editing software..like Windows Movie Maker and manage edit this guys awful, incoherent, bottomless worthless acting and dialog into an even more brutally piece of complete waste of space.

Am I even beginning to paint a picture here for you? This is the worst movie I have EVER EVER EVER seen, it's not even a movie! A movie should basic things like actors and a plot - this does not! I could do with a bad horror movie, but this really isn't. It's not like a fun B horror movie, this is just something to kill off 90 minutes of your life. DO NOT SEE IT, you'll spend the 4 bucks (or any amount of money) better putting them to flame to keep you warm.

6/10 - All you need to know
19 December 2004
A) This is the lamest one of the trilogy.

B) Wesley Snipes rule, sidekicks are lame and no I don't want a Nightstalker spin-off (the lame itself is so awfully lame).

C) Not enough action, Wesley Snipes should have been involved in post-production like the earlier two movies (which both ruled).

D) I can't stress this enough, the Nightstalkers destroyed the movie and took the focus of mr badass Blade. Wesley is the only one of the three who actually know martial arts and can pull it off. No matter how hot Biel looks all buffed up (which is, so hot, to quote a 15 year old) it's still not credible having her kick 250 pound guys around.

E) If you read about Snipes and this movie, you'll find he is not exactly over the top happy about it, for obvious reasons. Oh and Dracula.. my god, super lame, the worst foe yet - and this because of the horrible actor and lame costume.

F) Ryan's character is funny, but that's it. If you ever do a fourth it should be all Snipes or I'm out. And if I ever see the eventual Nightstalker spin-off I'm sorry to say I'll see it only to see Biel buff again.

Why oh why
19 December 2004
This movie was an enormous disappointment. Despite rather nice direction this movie lacked.. well just about everything besides that and good actors. But having a cool spin off name, good acting and cool direction (and a nice soundtrack) won't make a movie.

There's something essential called a script which needs to be the foundation of it all.

First of all the name is lame, there's not even a reason to call it Ocean's Twelwe since that 12th member is not even needed. In fact it feels like a constant struggle to prove the value of a lot of the members in the crew. This is not a heist movie like the first, the ending is extremely lame and one heck of an anti-climax after two hours wait for something to happen.

The movie zips zaps through explanations, like how and why stuff happens and instead focus on characters eating or making incoherent small talk which is supposed to be cute or funny.

Absolutely dreadful movie, a complete ten dollar and two hour waist of my life. It's the first movie I'll give a one, I'd give it a 3 if it didn't have huge expectations to live up to from the first movie.

Stunning
26 November 2004
This movie is without a shadow of a doubt one of the best, if not the best, movie I have seen as of yet the year 2004. In fact it's one of the best movies I have ever seen.

Now why is that? Is it the amazing soundtrack, the great actors.. I don't know. I think what essentially got me is how well this movie captures so much of the essence of my generation (X, 1980-81).. or at least the essence of me and my near friends. The soul searching, the questions, the realizations that comes of growing up, finding home and hope. The ending brought me to tears in a sense that I could relate to it in so many ways.. and those moments comes far and few between.

See this movie now.

Awful
31 May 2004
I can not believe the comments I read on this film, these comments actually lured me into this painful and awful excuse of a film. This film has absolutely _nothing_ in common with "Old School" or "Road Trip", the jokes are mediocre at best and the delivery is non-existent. Absolutely horrible flick which becomes even worse by the above average / average expectations you get when reading comments here on IMDb.

Both me and my friend agreed that we would actually not finished this one and turned it off (yes, it's that horrible) if we were not viewing it with company.

Take my advice - stay away from this one.
