No Time to Die (2021)
Wonderful Conclusion
Really enjoyed it, it is what you expect from the Craig-Bonds but slightly more touching and sensitive which makes it a little higher quality in my opinion. Ralph Fiennes-M is a very charismatic actor and having him and Craig in the same room is always wonderful viewing.
One thing i must not that was so painful and obnoxious I must react. (Spoiler but not really it has nothing to do with the real plot) A new 007 is black and female while bond was retired blah blah. They make her so unbearable and obnoxious I have no idea what they were thinking. Her character was so irrelevant from the entire plot it's just mind boggling how stupid producers can be. They clear it up by the end by having them be friendly as you expect would happen but it's such a pointless role that causes nothing but disgust. While they overlook the fact that Moneypenny is black, female, intelligent, and attractive while also being an agent. So I just don't understand the need to this. It's random af and obnoxious at best.
Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)
Spectacular
What we expected as fans of the cartoon and comic Justice League. You can see the regular movie was so simplified and butchered, nearly a completely different movie, few scenes were repeated if you were in fear of it being too similar. I liked the MCU movies and this matches and surpasses. Gives hope for the movies to come, which will happen soon, including a name you'd expect to see in the Justice League that wasn't in this one. This genre is not about incredible long drama scenes and if you expect that from a hero movie, you're an idiot. You can enjoy different types of films, nonetheless there weren't major acting blunders that I could anywhere, coming from someone who watches a plethora of films and expects the highest quality.
I suggest you watch it with volume high and room dark, gorgeous. This is the movie we went to watch in the first place, the length only makes it better.
The Man in the High Castle (2015)
Seen first 2 seasons
Truly a work of art. This seems like a novel but very well captured as a show. Julianna the main character is solid but there is some more interesting characters that give incredible performances. It isn't about the action, it is a drama (based more on plot and acting) not that there isn't any action. It's rated an 8 on IMDb as I'm writing this but, this is far better than many other 8 or above rated tv shows I've seen. Worth the watch, keeps you captivated so easily, you can easily live in the world they present because they write it so well. Not perfect but what is. Game of Thrones butchered their ending even tho everything else was incredible.
The Orville: New Dimensions (2017)
Intelligence distortion
Idk wth the point of this episode is. That someone that acts like an idiot all the time is actually really smart? The good thing about intelligence, is that it is visible before anyone says a thing. You fundamentally see the world different regardless of choice. Either way, they've specifically shown him to be an idiot in other episodes and do a full 180 here. Idk of this is a political thing, to say that black people can be really smart or don't judge a book by it's cover or both, regardless, this episode is total garbage and doesn't seem like Seth's work.
Star Trek: Discovery (2017)
Solid show but the main character brings it down
The main actress is awful. The cast and writing carry her but Hollywood feels the need to force a "powerful black woman" in the role. She's plays the role like a child dreams of being the greatest person that ever existed.
This show could be top class if they worked on the acting and avoided the political garbage. She doesn't fit this role whatsoever
Aladdin (2019)
Entertaining with a perfect ending
It still remains a show for children and adults. The disappointment was the lack of Arab representation as the Genie is Will Smith which is not Arabian obviously as well as the princess being Indian. Much black representation and politics for a movie about an Arabian tale. It shows the value of truth paramount in all and somehow things work out magically when you abide by truth.
