Soul Men (2008)
Authentic and entertaining
A comedic story about brotherhood, life's ups and downs and beautiful music, the way I see it. I thought it would be cheesy with bad, uninterested acting but this is one of the smoothest films ever made, much thanks to the two leading actors. Maybe not the most original story but still it feels SO authentic and simply real. A must-see for any fan of Mac, Jackson, doo-woop or black comedy.
FIFA 20 (2019)
It's odd
Graphics haven't improved notably since around 2012, gameplay seems to get worse every edition follows and the only game mode FIFA find worth improving is the one that earns them insane amount of money on underage gambling, because that's what packs are; a way to make gambling legal for twelve year olds. Oh, also the servers are UNBEARABLE! I have the best internet you can possibly get in a swedish household and yet i experience lag every third game, UTTERLY UNACCEPTABLE!
Still, every year I buy this crap. All my friends play it.
Tip: If there was a creator who would settle for the money the get from people buying tge game (as opposed to someone who only wants to milk customers on money even after purchase) there are so many of us who wouöd buy loyally. Please, someone other than Konami, make a decent football simulator game that is playable and fun!
Eric Andre: Legalize Everything (2020)
Too loud
I know, that's kinda his schtick. And at a few occasions he really did make me laugh out loud but is is not enough when most of the time the jokes were predictable or/and just downright cringeworthy. Being loud doesn't always make something funnier, far from it.
Westworld: Genre (2020)
Fenomenal.
Maybe the best episode of the series. I still can't believe they could fit so much into a single episode without it feling rushed at the slightest.
My admiration for Aaron Pauls contribution to the series keeps following the same pattern, growing immensely for each episode. I absolutely love the casting choice for Serac, his melancholic and at the same time passive agressive ways make for an excellent character.
And my how I love the writing, it all ties so well with all the previous seasons in general and the previous episodes in particular.
Calebs drug adventure was one of the most entertaining things I've watched, ever. The writers blended it in extremely well with the rest of the story.
Definitely top three episodes. Looking like the third season is about to surpasse the first season in quality, for me. Glad to see it.
Dave: What Wood You Wear? (2020)
Hopefully a necessicity
Not an awful episode but certainly not up to par when compared to its predecessors. I think, and hope, this was an episode to help build the story in the long run. If not, this is sadly a 3, tops.
The romantic tension is cute and quirky but it was overall a way to boring of an episode, no matter how much this helps the storyline. Felt like they could've and should've done better.
Barry (2018)
Haunting, gentle and funny
This is definitely the weirdest show I have ever loved. I gave the pilot a shot after browsing HBO for about 45 minutes, out of complete boredom. I cannot believe how hard I fell for it. Hader is absolutely brilliant, brings the oddness and squarish confidence the character needs. The chechenians are absolutely hilarious and Gene.. I love you, Gene. Henry Winkler could just look into the camera and I'd burst out laughing.
However, what makes this show so very special is without a doubt the one and only, NoHo Hank. Probably the most interesting character created in the last five years. I've never said this about a man before but he is SO ADORABLE!
The casting is absolutely spot on.
Game of Thrones: The Bells (2019)
The mad plot
It's just all over the place. I like the fact that Dany turned mad but they could have done SOOOOOO MUCH BETTER in the build up.
Cerseis death was the least satisfying death thus far and the Mountain looked like one of those swine-faced orchs from LOTR but much less sexy, way over the top.
All in all a decent episode. A disgrace if you compare it to earlier seasons but only a fool would do that still.
