First Kill (2022)
Buffy Wannabe
If you are looking for a torrid romance between a vampire and it's nemesis (a.k.a The slayer), also funny, smart and LGBT Friendly, go watch Buffy. It's way better than this derivative show.
The Guardians of Justice (2022)
"The Guardians of Justice will save you" - Pure Nostalgia and irony
The show sets a weird sense of nostalgia by paying homage to different types of animation that brings you back to the 80s while featuring a very contemporary parody of many classics superhero and it's flawless virtues.
It had grit, social criticism, some plot twists and lame costumes to set the parody mood.
Had some fun, but perhaps the CGI generation that values aesthetics over script will not endure it until the end.
Dark Places, Deadly Illusions (2021)
Weak script and no logic
A sexual thriller that refrains from nudity, a nanny that spends more time with both parents rather than the children... and a lazy explanation at the end.
Teenage Bounty Hunters (2020)
A misleading title
This show seems a little pointless... there isn't a major goal behind the storyline. Just another coming of age show with a set of high school twins trying way too hard to be funny, but not really...
Expected more action, considering the "bounty hunters" part. But the bounty hunting is just a side gig totally secondary to the story told...
O Velho: A História de Luiz Carlos Prestes (1997)
A portrait of the political struggle in Brazil
The film is a documentary based on documents and testimony of several sources, that depicts accurately and impartially the life of politician and revolutionary Luiz Carlos Prestes. In the meantime, brings a historical and live picture of the Brazilian political and ideological conflicts that led to the outbreak of more than 20 years of dictatorship. By portraying the self-denials, struggles for political ideals, isolation and imprisonment that affected the personal life of Prestes, the movie distances itself from a typical narrative and humanizes this public figure well known in the history of Brazil. Unnoticed, the viewer is immersed in the Brazilian political environment and the dramas caused by the friction between classes and power.
