Much improved
2 November 2021
Quality content can be produced when you strip away the excessive PC crap. I get that a 2021 police procedural will cover racism, abuse of authority, etc. However, this can blur lines get too extreme and exaggerated. The Rookie seems to have learned this lesson and done a course correction.

WOW!
2 November 2021
This episode is what TV can be when not restricted by network channel PG content. Not only was the episode adult-friendly, the cinematography, camera work, dialogue, etc was greatly polished, professional and realistic. That ending scene gave me goosebumps.

Hopefully, the show now has a life past this season. Something I was concerned about given the change in airing day.

Disappointed with CBS
20 September 2021
Just read that beginning with season 5 episode 5 Seal Team will be moving to Paramount+. CBS will only air the first four episodes on network tv. I don't view this as a good thing. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Caruso ruined what would have been a better series
6 August 2021
If not for Caruso, this would have been a much better series. The slight-head tilt, the glasses, the voice, the pausing when speaking, the pursing of the lips. Everything done with the attempt for dramatic effect. Well, he failed.

Liz is not dead
25 June 2021
Liz is not dead. There, I said it. Far from a conspiracy theorist, I was looking for indisputable closer - closer that wasn't provided. Just because she's lying on the ground, unmoving, does not make her death so.

Now Dembe returns the letter to Red, who assumes guardianship of Agnes, and continues leading his Blacklist organization. Red's number goal is to now protect Agnes, which will serve as a major storyline for at least next season.

Do not be shocked to see Liz reappear in possibly a one-off episode or series finally.

Warning: Spoilers
"Megan Boone exiting the Blacklist after 8 seasons." No reason provided. Let me take a stab at this - because she's ruining a great show and most loyal viewers are sick of her.

Here until the end
29 May 2021
After 8 seasons, I am going to tough it out to the end. I agree with many of the negative comments about MB, and the more recent ones regarding the Ressler and Boone storyline. However, I'm going to continue watching until the end, because, personally, I can't get enough of Reddington AND Dembe.

Voight Rocks
27 May 2021
Voight, the best cop character currently on TV, and one of the beat over the last 20 years, is back. My favourite show has its mojo, again.

Clint Westerns is where it's at

Just finished watching this movie for probably the twentieth time. IMO, his greatest western. Some may disagree, and that's your right. I'll also give props to A Fistful of Dollars, my number 2.

PD is the best cop TV
14 January 2021
By far the best of the Chicago trilogy, and it's not even close. Voight is the best cop character currently on tv. I've already given up on Med, and am close to the same with Fire. I'm not into soap opera-driven storylines occupying the majority of an episode. I put PD in the same category as Streets of San Francisco, Hill Street Blues, The Shield and The Wire to name a few. That is the best TV available.

Going downhill quickly
14 January 2021
One single action scene this episode. If I don't start getting more action and less soap opera, I'll be removing CF from my viewing schedule. I thought it'd be a transition to more action when Gabby left. Unfortunately, it's even less action now.

Nice recovery
17 December 2020
I rarely rate episodes or shows a 10. That's a high bar reserved only for the best. My actual rating for the episode itself is an 8.5 to 9. The top-up to the 10 comes for two reasons: a great recovery from last week's terrible episode and that Whoopi wasn't part of this episode.

Deserves a zero rating
17 December 2020
I don't understand how any longtime fan of Blue Bloods can give this episode any rating other than a 1. It is simply the worst of the entire series. Ignoring the Whoopi segments, I would have rated this a 5 because the Danny and Baez stuff was just so unbelievable. I give these shows quite a bit of latitude to "Hollywood" their shows. Their part was terrible. In addition, this is the best they could come up with after a shortened season ended that I thought was great. I was wondering where they'd go with the show since Jamie and Eddie married. Was thinking possibly a child, but not so soon - figuring BB is good for several more seasons, at least. The introduction of another family member, the backstory and the character is great. And, finally, for Whoopi, I'll reserve a longish political rant to say she really irritates me. The first time she appeared I was extremely disappointed. Not threatening to pull the plug yet but, if she becomes semi-regular, you can bet on it. To the show runner and writers: we, the real fans, hate her and don't want her back.

A fitting adieu for Dr. Grace
18 July 2019
For fans of MM, who've been with the series from the beginning, have enjoyed many great episodes, great guests, the historical aspect of the show, and stayed with series even during a few bumps in the road, this episode ranks in the top 20, or so, of the 199 episodes to date. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and free speech still exists in our society, albeit to a lesser degree. But sadly there remains a stench of much prejudice, driven by closed-minded individuals who feel that same-sex relationships are a sin. Comments about how Emily became a partner with Lillian too quickly, and that it wasn't realistic haven't been either watching the series and/or not paying attention. I will surmise that most of the negative comments about this relationship come from non-Canadians. Personally, I have never had any issue with topics covered by MM. I find the show to be brave and forward-looking.

A Great Episode
25 May 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Blue Bloods, one of my favourite shows, rarely disappoints. There are some who love episodes dedicated entirely to weddings. I'm not one of them. I appreciated the writers making the wedding a small part of the overall episode. That, combined with great segments, makes this one of the best BB episodes. Frank was great as usual. The dose of reality he served up for Abigail, Garrett, and Sid was classic Frank. The part where they are struggling in each other's role, and look to the other for help, but are told to pound pavement by the other was hilarious. And the small nod of the head of accomplishment when he sees them come together is Frank. Frank's short chat with Jamie was both funny (his opening joke that Jamie completely misses) and the fatherly advice he provides him touchy. The twist in the case of Danny and Baez was another interesting segment. And the coming together of Erin and Eddie was another great example of the characters staying true to their roles. Erin takes no prisoners and pulls no favours for anyone. And Eddie also showed her mettle. My 10 rating for this episode, which I don't easily hand out, factors everything above in. Looking forward to S10.

OMG What a Steaming Pile

This episode sucked! It should be retired to a dumpster, removed from future DVD sets, and never aired on tv again. I'm a long time viewer of the show and this is by far the worst episode.

Changes needed
21 October 2018
Better episode than I expected, but I feel strongly that there are very weak characters, that serve little purpose. Nick, Sloane and the Abby replacement need to go. Personally, I like Bishop. They can always bring Tony back. Yes, I said it. If Bull tanks, I'd get him back.

Bull is just ok. Interesting concept, but it's getting old, fast. Best thing for his career would be a return to NCIS.

No longer a loyal viewer
10 October 2018
When you've been a loyal viewer for 19 years and have seen each episode multiple times, it's tough to pull the plug. The last few years have gotten progressively more political. Too much so for my liking. It's with regret that I've decided this episode will be my last.

Willing to give it a chance
3 October 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Some people just can't let go of their political hatred of the other side. First episode comments were filled with all kinds of bashing about the criminal being a far-right nutcase. It was an attack against conservatives. It's the first episode and you have to start somewhere. The acting isn't as wooden as some are commenting. There's a few solid actors in this. Look at some of the best shows ever and the first episode(s) weren't quality acting. They did get better. Give it a chance.

Lowered my rating
3 September 2018
I lowered my season one rating from 8 to 6 because of what I've seen so far with season two,. Initially, I really enjoyed the concept and found it interesting. The acting, although not great, is passable for a B-level summer show. However, season two is way too much soap opera. I thought the show deserved to be renewed for a second season, but right now I am learning towards closing it out.

Terrible
21 May 2018
I give Hollywood a lot of flexibility when it comes to "making up" storylines. But this one is just so far out there. Nothing in the two part season finale episodes is believable. I've always looked at NCIS LA as popcorn tv. I may sound like a hypocrite for watching something so unbelievable, and then complaining about it. However, I can live with the stretched plots, and do watch weekly. It's just that this storyline has suck to an all time low.
