Time Bomb (2008)
A movie as mixed up as the main character
Well this movie was as mixed up as the main character played by Jake Busey, the story line was awful with very little imagination and was a nightmare to watch.
The main character was a mixed up guy with flashbacks of Iraq, Bio Warfare and all the film accomplished was leaving me as mixed up in my mind as the main character as like him I had no idea what was going on.
Even the ending of the movie served no real purpose as it is not possible to conclude a story which has no content
Do not waste your time or money going to see this movie or renting it, the movie is a waste.
2012: Doomsday (2008)
Religious end the world scenario
This was a disaster movie with a religious message where an odd bunch of everyday people land up journeying on a religious pilgrimage to a Mayan Pyramide in Mexico and witness a virgin birth.
It was to say the least an odd movie which would seem more in place within the religious section of a video store rather then in the fiction area.
All I can say, is give this one a miss, the acting and storyline is really poor and I have no idea what type of person would view this movie as it tries and fails in the disaster movie genre big time and I very much doubt that anyone who is into religious type movies would even enjoy this movie with its rather dull message.
Juncture (2007)
Well thought out thriller
A dying Protagonist Blackport goes on a an angel of vengeance killing spree meeting out her own kind of justice on those who got away with it.
Its been done many times before, but I have to admit this film is well made and carries the storyline very well and the main character is top notch and I must admit, I have never heard of Kristine Blackport, but she has done an excellent job of portraying the warped her heroine of the movie.
Also top marks to the writer and director who have in effect made one hell of a good movie.
The Apocalypse (2007)
Religious disaster movie
What started out to be an interesting science fiction disaster movie with people being hit my small rocks from space soon turned into one of the worst movies I have ever seen.
Time and time again the cast members dialogue consisted of talk about religion to such an extent I had to double check the credits to see if it was made by a religious film company rather then Asylum.
Also the music in the movie was so loud that it constantly drowned the dialogue and made it impossible to figure out what the actors/actresses where saying, the worst part was when the guy held them at gunpoint.
For sure this is a movie that could have been better if the dialogue had been more sensible rather then going off on a tangent of religious sermons.
Torque (2004)
Unrealistic
A cross between Fast & Furious/Matrix (fx) and Road Rash with lots of riding which is impossible, being a seasoned biker I should know, the train scene where 2 bikes ride across the top of a moving train is I suppose possible, but you would not live to tell the tale.
Also the end fight scene between the two girls is laughable as well as the end scene where the hero of the film rides this super fast bike which lands up doing acrobats in mid air is as OTT as the bike he is riding.
Good film for kids or for a laugh, else miss it!
