Did anyone apart of this movie watch the previous movies?
30 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I know that this film is like 13 years old but after rewatching the movies in order did anyone that made this film watch the other movies? Not even reading the comics but the movies themselves. Like this is supposed to be a prequel movie based off the original timeline so why all the continuity errors??? Like what idiot wrote this and thought it was good? And who was dumb enough to greenlight it. There are so many errors in this movie but the main ones: 1. How in the world was Charles paralyzed in 1962 if he was still walking in 1986 when he went to go pick up Jean in X-3? Also he was walking in the Wolverine origin movie (it came out only two years prior to this nonsense) and that took place like late 70s-early 80s 2. Also to the previous point how was Charles and Erik's friendship over in 1962 if he was with him when Charles went to go get Jean in 1986?

3. It was overly stated in both X-1 and X-2 that Charles and Erik built Cerebro but in this movie Hank somehow built it? Like X-2's entire plot couldn't have happened if Stryker didn't brainwash Erik while imprisoned to give him details about Cerebro because he built it.

4. In X-1 Charles had no idea about the telepathy helmet Erik had until later in that movie which was made out to be a new invention of Erik's so how does he have one now in this movie?

Idk where Murdoch Mysteries is Headed
24 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
It's extremely frustrating and annoying when these male characters risk it all (literally it all ie their lives at the gallows) for a girl. First it was Crabtree now John. John was never a very bright constable but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize that taking a gun out of the armory without notifying your superiors when going to question your girlfriend's ex isn't wise. And neither is constantly lying to the people trying to help you. Also I can't stand Violet Hart. I knew from spoilers that she had questionable morals but she takes it too far. I hate that the writers and producers have refused to provide a Black character that is strong willed and confident but isn't willing to compromise themselves to get ahead. Rebecca James was extremely unwritten & lacked confidence in for a good part of her time on the show. Violet Hart is a confident snake and irritatingly still on the show in its current season 17. With the corrupt cops they were caught and dealt with relatively quick. Why not the same with Violet?

Arrogance gets you nowhere
18 August 2023
This episode of bones just displays the extreme lack of personal growth that encompasses Temperance. Her being an arrogant know-it-all even to the judge shows how little she actually knows. It's not being smart if she's still acting like an intelligent donkey behind at her overgrown age. It was extremely clear that the case that Booth was working on was connected to the trial and if she's so logical and rational than the only logical conclusion would be that he was investigating a dead witness for the trial and process of elimination would have taken care of the rest. But that hyper rational logic that she knows does not apply to every situation as she has been shown numerous times still gets the best of her and prevents her from seeing the big picture that is riddled with facts and evidence and it doesn't help that she is working on the case after she is the reason the murderer is free. Terrible episode so save yourself the frustration and skip it.

Dragged out
14 August 2023
They really overdid the whole pelant storyline and I wish they hadn't. It was hard to get through the first time I watched this episode but this feels like torture now. They don't finally get rid of him until season 9 and even that's temporary. Also idk why they have made temperance seem idiotic after having the baby. Like becoming a mother should not and does not make someone loose all common sense and Booth shouldn't have to tell her that. You can tell the show was truly in decline at this point and the writers were grasping at straws with this entire villain arch and everything he's done and will do in the next seasons.

Unrealistic
11 August 2023
The plot of the slave ship is kind of useless and unrealistic. Given the fact that enslavers would purposely group people from different tribes that had different cultural practices and identifiers and also in some cases shave their heads to further strip them of their identities it is highly unlikely that the slave ships would have actually cared about their names if the enslaved were regarded as chattel and not human. As well the names they assigned to them are highly American and would have likely been forced onto as a additional dehumanization tactic after they were sold in America. Also if their remains were found on the ship that means it would have been impossible for them to be renamed.

Violet sucks and they shouldn't have brought her back
19 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I know it doesn't matter now but I wish they never brought her character back. I'm sure that her character had a lot of pent up childhood trauma but there is a large difference between your mother making the constant and consistent effort to try and improve herself and admitting and acknowledging her failures versus her acting like she was the perfect mother that did no wrong. Like I know this is fiction but I wish someone would have told Violet to stop complaining and go to therapy because she'll never truly heal if she's constantly stuck reliving the past like it's still the present. As well Violet has always sucked as a character in taking responsibility for her own actions.

Awful and sexist
13 January 2023
The woman who is supposed to be a brilliant private investigator lost all her senses and got tickled by a nonsense British accent that was attached to a con man. She's a loser that hasn't overcome her own internalized misogyny. She was a poorly written character as the writers own sexism was overly present. She can't be a strong independent woman and run her own business while tripping over herself over a man. A mockery of trying to be pro woman and pro feminist while illustrating that the main character is doing the exact opposite of what her character is supposed to represent. The bionic woman in the 70s was less aggressive with including the patriarchy in the show than this one in the 80s.

Lousy episode
10 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I would expect Tabitha to do this behavior when she was younger which she did. She's too old now to not know not to insert herself into storybooks and their characters. When she was younger she did not understand why doing so was bad but she's older she knows that it causes problems when she does this and she has better control of her powers so she knows exactly what she is doing. This episode would make sense if it was Adam who brought Hansel and Gretel out of the book. You can tell the shows about to end based on the lousy, zero effort writing. Also by this point they should have be focusing a bit more on Adam and his development as a witch like they did with Tabitha.

Useless episode
10 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This whole episode could have been avoided if Samantha would have just changed the channel as soon as she saw that it was inappropriate for her children to watch. Like the amount of neglect of ensuring that her children aren't growing up overly influenced by bad behavior is irritating. Also the premise of this episode is dumb. It would make more sense if the show Tabitha popped herself into was done live in front of children and she just happened to pop herself up on the stage. Also they really needed to teach Tabitha how to use her powers correctly in the right way because by just telling to never use her powers was never going to teach her a single thing.

Terrible character portrayal and medical malpractice
29 July 2021
I truly hate how they portray Luther to be this Black idiot hospital gossip. It's the same problem Esther Rolle had with the portrayal of J. J. on Good Times like they have rocks for brains and lack the ability to take anything seriously. Given the time period it is racially unfair that they only viewed Black people to embody two mediums: the comedic relief or the overly serious trying to prove my worth character. As well letting a known unstable psych ward patient roam a hospital free is grounds for him to get fired. Idk what they were smoking in the 80s because this would not be allowed ever and would leave the hospital vulnerable to a potential lawsuit because of his actions therefore this plot line/ story is dumb and unnecessary.

Random and unrealistic
25 July 2021
Why would you bring some random Congressman into a pentagon operation?? Like he's not Vice President nor is the actual Vice President the actual president. As well because it's a highly sensitive matter wouldn't they force them all to leave their phones out of the room? Also how in the world could snipers be on site so fast if the op was greenlit only a few hours before?? To many plot holes trying to make stick.

Questionable morals

In general I'm getting sick and tired of these characters randomly having affairs and stepping out on their romantic partners for the smallest thing.
