I'm a huge Bon Jovi fan, have been listening to them since my teens, almost had a cover band, and was highly excited to watch this. Oh, well...Such a bummer, feel like the band (and honestly, Sambora) deserved something better. Had to force myself to watch it, waiting for it to improve. And what did I get after all that time? A bit more of respect for JBJ work ethic and a lot more dislike for his narcissistic personality. It felt like watching an artist fade and a CEO rise... anything but a phenomenal band documentary / legacy. The footage is also very disappointing, decades of materials and the director seems to prioritize all the self indulgent blablabla from JBJ. Sorry for the sad review, it's just a disappointment from a fan that could not wait to watch it. Hope there's another one in the future that does justice to the band, really don't understand all the ratings of nines and tens here.

Season 1 was brilliant but confusing, season 2 just ok

Season 1 set the tone brilliantly, great casting, effects, actions, dialogue etc I just reckon that it may have been really confusing for someone that hasn't read the books or played the games, I would rate it 8 or 9 out of ten.
Season 2 was just ok, some dialogues seemed lazy and Ciri's scenes felt a bit eye rolling teenager show that might as well have been in twilight, I would rate the first episodes as 5, improving a bit towards the end, getting to an average of 6 stars.
That being said, I really like the show and hope for a stronger season 3.

How can someone compare it to GoT?

It makes me wonder how many of these comments were paid.... there's absolutely no comparison to GoT, except for the fact that they are based on fantasy books. However, it would be the same as comparing Shakespeare to your 15 yo cousin's play.
The writing is either bad or focused on a 12 years old audience. The acting is overall bad, the photography mediocre and the general tone is cartoonish.

I've never felt compelled to write a review, but this time I felt I had to.
You see, this is a movie about two old guys, that believe in something I don't. The whole thing is pretty much just the two of them waking (slowly) and talking. No action, no beautiful woman, no explosions, no cursing. All the things I like in a movie and yet, I loved it.
It's well directed, planned, written and interpreted.
Thanks for making it, Netflix!
