Spy Intervention (2020)
It's bad, except for one thing
Yes I realize it's meant to be a spoof. I loved True Lies and Melissa McCarthy in Spy. But this is just awful. Plot is nonexistent and nonsensical... the special effects are laughable--- the guy sitting inside the toy truck? The toy drone that's supposed to be a helicopter? Budget must have seriously been $2000. And.who cares about most of the characters? His sidekick guy is kind of a jerk. "Corey" is immature and wooden and has zero chemistry with Pam. Music is annoyingly loud and obtrusive over the scenes. I kept hoping something different would happen, but no. The ending is completely dull and expected. ONLY aspect of this sad thing that stood out was Poppy Delevingne, she actually tried and was somewhat believable. Decent actress who deserves more and better roles.
Snake Boss (2015)
Great little show, Julia channels Steve Irwin in her love of animals.
Fascinating show! Found it while I was exploring the channels on PlutoTV (free App on the Amazon Firestick) since I'm considering cord-cutting. So far, so good when there's programming like this on their Voyager documentaries channel. It's been on in the background all afternoon and it's a great show. I don't agree with another reviewer who thinks she doesn't care about treating the animals properly. She's very likable and Loves the snakes and doing what she can in a very humane and caring manner. One large poisonous snake they found in a tool shed caught tangled terribly in a wire net and it was strangling the middle of the snake. It was almost dead. While she held it, her assistant cut bit by bit the Godawful tight wire off it. She kissed it gently as they set it free in a wild habitat. Another episode she got a huge one out of someone's pool area and noticed it was covered in ticks on it's head. Before setting it free she pulled all the ticks off it with her hands and polished nails, calling it Darling the whole time. Set in Australia, you learn a lot about other animals and habitats also. Wish they'd made the show for another season or two, it's really good!
