Dexter: Helter Skelter (2012)
Interesting turn of Events
Episode 9 "Helter Skelter", is a episode with a very strong moral, and that moral is 'love'. The episode is centered around the downfall of Isaak, as well as an interesting turn of events for Hannah, Quinn and George. The episode in all was a quality outing, but didn't exactly measure up to the stature of writing from last weeks installment "Argentina".
The episode began with Hannah on Dexters boat; as Dexter turned into the choppy waves, Hannah told Dexter she was afraid, but Dexter wouldn't share what he was afraid about. The storyline of the episode is interesting, a bit of cat and mouse, a bit of character development, and the death of a big bad. Though it wasn't solid throughout, but once again it was entertaining and more exhilarating than last weeks episode, which was based around emotion, deprivation etc.
Dexter had a kill in the episode the was cool, but probably not very plausible, but anyway it was entertaining. A lot of the episode was based around Isaak seeing it was his last, and his last moments were very memorable.
Overall this was a excellent episode, it may not have been the strongest of the Season but it was a quality outing. Written by Tim Schlattman and Directed by Steve Shill, they together create a florid episode with some really great dialogue.

Dexter: Argentina (2012)
"That...Would be a Twist"
When it comes to Dexter as a television series, I always expect it to be captivating and brilliant. Season 6 didn't do that for me, but Season 7 has gone beyond my expectations. For me, it almost felt like the second part of the Season is over, here is my logic: Episodes 1-4 were exploring Deborah's new discovery as well as introducing new characters and more. Episodes 5-8 are all about character development (hence being the second part). And the third part should be all about making a endgame for Season 8.
This episode struck me in many ways, when I first started watching it I felt as if it was a bit boring and dull, but after the first 15 minutes everything became more heated and much more interesting for the viewer. I mean we had LaGuerta digging into Dexter's past as well as Deborah's feelings for Dexter. We also has Isaak, the Koshkas, and the Quinn and Nadia storyline which are turning out to be very interesting as we begin the endgame of the season. We even had Cody and Astor return for the episode, which turned out to be a storyline that worked well with what was going on at the time with Dexter's situation.
This episode, titled "Argentina", is all about Dexter finding the place he calls home, or his Argentina. It's all about the truth as that is what this episodes theme was. It really well written, but what really had my breath taken was the ending. It was very emotional, the music and the voice-over were really beautiful and the way it came together was very brilliant.
Overall, this is my second favorite episode of the Season next to Episode 4 Run. I loved everything about it. Even though it wasn't the edge of your seat stuff we saw in Season 4, but this episode was a dramatic emotional roller coaster. When Debra told Dexter her true feelings I couldn't believe it, it was a twist for the episode as I thought those feelings would never return. Well as least this season they are handling it in an appropriate manner.

Dexter: Chemistry (2012)
Does Dexter have Chemistry?
It's been a while since we've seen an episode written to this calibre, while it may have not been the most exciting episode yet, it was written very well. From dialogue to actions to scripts the episode seemed amazingly solid and did some extenuating character development without it being boring.
This episode was Directed by Holly Dale and Written by Manny Coto & Karen Campbell, they all deliver a fantastic episode with no faults what so ever. The episode is very intense and has some great dialogue. The title once again really suits the episode "Chemistry", Hannah and Dexter, Quinn and Nadia, Deb and Sal Price all have Chemistry that in one way or the other prove to have bad consequences.
Overall I thought the episode was a great episode and finishes the Season's main character development.

Dexter: Run (2012)
"Generally I doing all the chasing, unless a bull is running towards me with an Axe!"
Hands down, "Run", is the best most floridly extenuating episode of the season. It is full of suspense and unprecedented actions. The writing, directing and cinematography is excellent, and features one of Dexter's best kills.
Written By Wendy West, one of the most commendable writers on Dexter for writing the Season 4 Trinity thanksgiving episode and the Zoe Kruger episode makes an amazing comeback with this great episode titled, "Run". This episode is more like the second part for episode 3, "Buck The System". We see a lot of emotion and even some romantic undertones during the episode, we learn more about Hannah, see Isaac's darker side and learn more about Viktor. This episode is amazingly done and ends on a fantastic cliffhanger, that leaves you wanting to see more.
The Ray Speltzer kill, was undoubtedly one of the best in the series, as kill room scenes are always great when Dexter is a little psycho. We also saw Dexter in a fight with Ray that ended badly and nearly made him a vicious victim.
Overall, this episode from me, gets a 10/10 for being just a really amazing episode. I can't wait to see next week's episode, "Swim Deep", as Season 7 is just beginning to get really suspenseful and exciting.

Dexter: Buck the System (2012)
Are you ready to Buck the System?
Dexter Season 7 just happens to get better and better every episode. We opened with the heart wrenching premiere, "Are You...?, that simply kept me on the edge of my seat. Sunshine and Frosty Swirl followed up that episode beautifully as it was written perfectly and sent a message to Dexter in an amazing way. But Buck The System may just be even better.
Written By Jace Richdale and Directed Stefan Schwartz, the episode once again is amazingly written and directed. But one thing about this episode I loved was the cinematography; for instance when Dexter was talking about, "the walls closing in on his life", the camera angles symbolized Dexter in-between those two buildings. And again at the end of the episode, when he says, "I'm free", and looks over to the vast area with nothing around him. The cinematography this season is amazing.
In this episode we have a few major moments, such as the introduction of Hannah McKay. We see the downfall/death of Louis Greene and the great moment when Dexter meets Isaac for the first time. At the end of the episode when Ray Speltzer escapes, we see an amazing ending with Debra finally understanding why Dexter does what he does. And in someways she understands.
The only downfalls for the episode was the absence of his son Harrison and death of Louis, which for me felt weird seeing as they built him up over Season 6 and the start of Season 7 just to kill him fairly quickly.
Overall, I rate this Episode a 9/10. It is amazingly written and directed with amazing symbolism. So far this Season is shaping to be a season that undoubtedly will be much better the some others.

Dexter: Sunshine and Frosty Swirl (2012)
Is this a worthy successor to the Premiere?
And you didn't think Season 7 could get any better? Think again!
Sunshine and Frosty Swirl deliverers greatness, in an episode with no plot holes, inconsistencies or bad monologues. Written By Manny Coto and Directed by Steve Shill; they create a florid episode, matched with brilliant cinematography.
One thing that I am serious about in the episode is it's perfection. Perfect cinematography, great writing and direction as well as fantastic editing. I loved how they were able to mix great sound tracks from the first and second season of Dexter, making it feel very original and also making it feel as if the show has gone back to it's extenuating roots.
The episode begins exactly where the Premiere ends, and doesn't fail to deliver; as Dexter gives up everything on his past victims and nearly contemplates him being the Bay Harbour Butcher. Through all this James Doake's is once again mentioned which is great for fans and is a fantastic plot line. Though what really had me going this episode was Louis; We learn't a lot more about his personality and his motives.
Ray Stevenson's character Isaak, is introduced and we find out as the audience that he is much more that just a rich man, he is a ruthless and capable of murder. As we find out more about him with divulge into his background and the Mob.
Overall, this episode in my opinion took crown over the Premiere; thanks to it's brilliant dialogue and it's perfect writing and directing.
I am happy to give this episode of Dexter a 10/10. This season so far is shaping up to be one of the best yet.
Dexter: Are You...? (2012)
Is this possibly the best Dexter premiere yet?
After watching the premiere of Dexter, titled "Are You...?", I was astonished to see the amount of detail and florid writing the episode presented. After watching the mediocre Season 6 I was able to reconcile my faith with Dexter once again as this episode was near perfection. Written by show-runner Scott Buck and Directed by John Dahl they create a near-masterpiece of perfection. The episode begins very differently to what I had imagined (But in a good way).
It was very exhilarating and exciting at the same time, it felt as if I was watching one of the final episodes of Season 4. The scenes and dialogue were put together very well and the cinematography was so much better than in Season 5/6. The only bad points of this episode were that Dexter seemed a little sloppy when at the Airport.
Now I understand that due to time restraints the writers wanted to cram as much as they could into an episode at 50-55mins, but I would have liked to see Dexter give a little more attention to security camera's, Airport officials e.t.c. But apart from that it is a huge improvement in Writing, Directing and Cinematography over last Season, and I am very proud to say the Dexter is back and it's never been better.
