Luis & the Aliens (2018)
Not that Bad really!
I gave this a 10 simply because of all the bad ratings.
Is this fantastic compared to disney/pixar, hell no, but it hardly deserves to be trashed.
like GadgetGang in Outer Space (2017) people are failing to see that both movies have a bit of fun and silliness and is suitable for the whole family to enjoy.
if kids don't laugh at this then i suggest their parents have tainted the kids with action movie BS.
Let kids be kids and teach them to enjoy being a bit silly every now and then.
Oh and if you haven't seen GadgetGang in Outer Space (2017), do so, I've watched it 4 times and laughed each time.
Kath & Kim (2002)
where is the humour?
if you loved the "wogs" series of the late 80's then you will probably think this is funny as well.
Racial stereotypes set in day to day life, if you want to watch something in that sort of vein go watch "Kingswood Country" or for a USA production, "Married with children" or "SOAP".
If the producers were trying to turn away potential immigrants then they have a hit production, this would turn me away if I was foreign born and saw this as what Australian's were like.
It's as funny as Barry Humphries' Dame Edna character, and has as much to do with Australian life as Dame Edna does.
do yourself a favor, if you find it funny, go see a psychiatrist?
Stanley: Every Home Should Have One (1984)
slow to start but very funny
A must watch movie for anyone who doubt's that they are normal.
Stanley is the eccentric young son of a rich tycoon, and fearing yet another visit to the looney bin does a runner and decides to learn what being normal is.
After a computer search of the families sales records he locates a "normal" family with a room to rent, gets a normal job etc.
You'll have to see the movie to find out how normal everyone Stanley meets will be.
The Bourne Identity (2002)
rubbish, nothing like the book except the name and start
I like a movie that tries to be faithful to the writers story, this was nothing at all like the Robert Ludlum book. Matt Damon while doing a fairly decent acting job is at least 15 years younger than the character in the book, and to be as "good" an assassin as his character would require greater age & experience. The original movie with Richard Chamberlain & Jaclyn Smith was far better, but if all you look for in a movie is killing and car chases then this is a movie for you. 1/10 for book accuracy, 7/10 for action
