Heon-teu (2022)
Action packed movie that is too hard to follow
Saw this in the cinema today. The movie is entertaining throughout, never short of action but both me and my friends are confused about the plot and what really happened. I think complicated story telling is not a good thing, it means the director has failed to explain something to the viewer. We were all not entirely sure what actually happened.
Acting was good. Action as well. You can stop reading here. And now I just have to fill up this text so that this site accepts my review which is annoying because I don't want to say so much more and you already read the important parts so that's it.
Continent 7: Antarctica (2016)
Interesting topic and people but heavily sensationalized.
What could have been a very nice documentary about interesting people in an amazing environment is ruined by a sensation/action seeking voice over and annoying way of cutting.
This is what you would find on the modern discovery channel. It's all about the dangers and what could go wrong. Which is of course an important aspect of being out there however it is used for sensational reasons. And you know the type of voice over when you hear it.
It would have been more interesting to learn about the scientists, who they are, why they are there.
A real shame because I'm super interested in Antarctica and the people there.
Blade Runner: Black Lotus (2021)
Looks worse than the 90s game
This just looks so bad that I can't watch it. The computer graphics look as if from a 90s computer game. I understand that that might be the point but it doesn't work here. It's too much like a cheap computer game 3D animation and feels they lacked inspiration and just copied some elements from blade runner movies.
Bad Vegan: Fame. Fraud. Fugitives. (2022)
Frustrating and wrong angle
When you have a business you have a big responsibility and there are no excuses, not like these anyway.
I find it therefore frustrating that she is framed as a victim. Interview the actual victims. The employees. Very bad doc IMHO and a waste of time.
A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood (2019)
Not very complicated but eye brow raising at the same time
It was most surprising to me that most of this movie is based on a true story and really existing show.
Also surprised to see how close Tom Hanks looks to to real Freddy Rogers.
Countdown: Inspiration4 Mission to Space (2021)
True to its title
But as a nerd, I'm a bit disappointed on the lack of technical details.
Motel Makeover (2021)
Vocal fry alert!
Interesting to see the proces and how they manage it but the amount of vocal fry in this show is just awful. Go see a speech expert and get rid of that...
