Not for fans
10 September 2023
I have an obsession with Tiny Toons. I've even had the change to meet and spend time with the original artist. But this show is a pale comparison of any other Tiny Toons show.

The voice are all off, the voice actors delivery is horrible, the jokes aren't funny. The storylines are just bad.

I was excited to seen this pop up on Max. But watching it has just been a disappointment.

I can usually deal with voice changes, but everyone is new. But everything else about the show is just a letdown as well.

What happened to the voice actors and writers from the previous show or if anyone is a carryover how did it all go so wrong.

And where did Steven Spielberg go this time around !

So bad he insisted his name be removed I expect.

Just gives me a headache
25 November 2022
He screams phrases over and over and over.

These phrases are shouted out in a annoying weird squeaky voice.

Or perhaps he's just speeding through a bit super fast just to get it out asap.

Perhaps this is why his show is an hour instead of the more common 90 minutes.

I've seen him with other specials and shows. This one just makes my headache in the worst way.

I guess his show might be considered family friendly give the content; but then I don't think younger viewers would be interested even understand the content.

All I can say is the show is just annoying. No laughs.

Look elsewhere, please, I beg you.

Resident Evil fans will hate this show

Destroys the Resident Evil universe. Writing is horrible. Writing is about the same. Way too heavy on story. Limited action and monsters.

Wesker's character is completely different. It's really not Wesker at all. It's like they took took Charles Ashford or whoever and make a dorky geek family man of Wesker.

Horrible and I love Marvel
15 July 2022
I may be done with the Marvel cinematic universe.

The whole movie just felt like a joke. It was more like one of those cheap thrown together spoff movies that Hollywood pumps out to make fun of other film franchises. Even the serious parts felt campy and like a bad comedy.

Compared to prior MCU there is constant language which was never really present in prior movies over the last year.

Talk of group orgies. Also new.

Nudity. New.

Constant and over used "inclusion". Largely new.

Slowwwwww
3 May 2022
Expected to love it; understanding it's over 60 years old and might loose something in aging.

In reality it's a very, very slow movie. Hardly anything even happens the first hour. Well unless you count all the singing. I understand in reality many of these guys were known more for signing than anything. But they're supposed to be ex soldiers and yet they all good looking and amazing voices. This IS NOT a musical but for some reason they're always singing and smoking.

The story is thin. The acting is flat. The singing is out of place with the characters and plot. Great to see all the old crooners; but the movie was a total let down.

No action. No comedy. No acting.
15 January 2022
There's no much to say here. Peacemaker wasn't the best character in The Suicide Squad. But at least he was great with the action and the.one lines in battle. But the show offers nothing. There's been no real action. No money spend on effects. Acting isn't even interesting.

Dull & Slow - Don't Get Sucked In.
18 October 2021
The show just drags on. And I don't mean in a building dramatic tension.

The acting sucks, even though I've see many of the actors in other projects where I did enjoy them.

There's very little action.

There's no very emotion. No excitement. No feelings for the characters, one way or another.

Don't waste your time thinking it'll go somewhere or get better when you become more invested. It won't.

Video Games Cut Scenes
9 July 2021
Just feels like cut scenes from the video game, that was also dubbed. Perhaps if it was done with hand animation maybe it would have worked better. Or maybe just put more effort and money into better CGI. It was just really difficult to watch.

Doesn't Deliver
6 July 2021
Falls completely flat. For most part not funny, not exciting, and really not shocking either, well that much. While I did watch the movie it just didn't keep me engaged and I generally appreciate this kind of content.

This had the potential to be completely amazing. So disappointed. Otherwise.

Trailer looked awesome.

Loved the whole concept.

(Mostly) great voice actors.

TONS, literally metric tons of references to popular culture.

New Looney Tunes (2015–2020)
5/10
Total MIXED Bag !
9 June 2021
Harkens back to the more initial rough and zany episodes from MANY decades past.

This is not what what your average Looney Tunes viewer would except.

Voices are fine and similar to the prior Looney Tunes show was a few years past. Without checking I would suspect many are the same voice actors.

Animation is fine but kind of rough and unpolished. Character designs are reimagined. Bugs looks off from any version we've ever seen. Porky is NOTHING like we've seen before and looks horrible. Daffy looks okay I guess.

The stories are more like quick simple scripts. Not much effort was put into them. Ones of things about Looney Tunes typically is that it appeals to children as well as adults. There is NOTHING here that appeals to adults.

This latest Looney Tunes just feels like something someone threw together quickly and cheaply. They also seen to know nothing about classic or even recent Looney Tunes, or have no respect for it and just wanted to do something whatever they wanted.

There are a lot of new, never seen before characters that have no real place here. Their visual design and character background are uninspired and just poor quality.

Even the intro to the show is just play unenjoyable.

Attempt at cash grab ?

Stay away.

Mediocre At Best
23 May 2021
Huge zombie fan. Like many of Zach's movie. When I heard about this I was excited. When I saw the trailer it looked great. The film itself is slow, boring and not exciting in any way. Worst thing is that it also lasts 2.5 hours. They spend 5 weeks just shooting the opening credits. Sadly that much have spent two weeks and the $1.28 left after the opening credits to make the rest of the movie, and it shows. This could have been amazing but they messed it all up.

MASSIVE Disappointment
1 May 2021
Michael B Jordan gives a laughable performance. The convincing intensity of say his performance m Black Panther is no where to be found.

Guy Pierce who is often amazing is just phoning it in during this performance.

Supporting cast is also so so.

MOVIE is more or less short almost exclusively at night in the dark regardless of where they happen to be. Even in a professionally calibrated, 100% light controlled high end 4K Dolby Vision home theater much of the movie is barely visible and the rest is just a black screen.

The movie appears to have been done on the quick and for the cheap.

Horrible - READ !
1 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Everything is so bad and not even so bad to be campy or funny.

The military base. Every plane is a different plane. Some are 100 years old. Some are Russian. All look like they haven't been painted in decades. There are weeds growing around wheels. It's obviously an air museum that they could be bothered to properly prep or shoot around.

They want to escape to the mountains. They get there. Then they're back n the city all of a sudden. But they're still trying to get to the mountains.

When they're in the mountains there's a flood. But theirs no rain, no lakes, no rivers. No flooding below the mountain. But there is in the mountains.

They keep talking about being in the inland empire but keep showing LA.

Lava suddenly comes though the top of a wall. They run out of the building. And then spend ten minutes talking. And these no lava outdid.

Driving down city streets there are no people outside. No other cars. No damage to any houses. No lava. Then they get to where they're going and that house is the only one with damage.

Every time you see debris it's white plastic bags and white paper. Always. And it's usually in just one need area where everything around it undamaged and clean.

The dialog is horrible.

The acting is horrible.

And let's follow this up again with the earth falling to pieces there are no other people outside running around, there are no other cars.and again debris is white plastic bags and white paper. Ugh.

Birdgirl is awesome.
8 April 2021
Paget Brewster is awesome. I always loved Harvey Birdman Attorney At Law. Birdgirl's hyped up craziness was awesome. Sadly she was in few episodes. Nice to see a spin-off carry the Birdperson torch. Hopefully we'll see a lot of the Birdman cast doing cameos. Adult swim has been seriously lacking for a while. Nice to see them going back to their roots.

It's bad. Real bad. I like a good horrible movie, but this was painful.

Acting is horrible, especially the female lead.

Plot is practically nonexistent.

Photography and directing is just ugh...

Enough I can even talk about this thing anymore.

NOT FOR FANS
6 March 2021
This movie is not for fans.

Keanu is the best part of the movie.

The animation is beautiful looking. But it moves too far from the TV show. That said they always use a different style for each movie release. The problem is that it looks like it 3D printed.

The jokes and general character performances were not up to performance of the TV show or other movies.

The biggest problem here is that the entire history of the entire TV series and prior movies is just THROWN OUT or IGNORED. They're using this movie strictly as a vehicle to reboot Spongebob into an entirely different show that also launched on Paramount Plus with this movie. Think Muppet Babies or Tiny Toons but not anywhere on the save level.

I was waiting forever for this to come out and was largely disappointed.

I would recommend fans of SpongeBob stay away or risk being highly disappointed, or even enraged.

No Exceptions - Came In Lower Than None
27 February 2021
I'm not sure what to thing here.

Tom and Jerry wasn't never a top tier cartoon. I enjoyed them but they were also never Looney Tunes or even Scooby Doo level.

Regarding the movies it's not Roger Rabbit, Space Jam, Looney Tunes: Back In Action or similar. That's not saying much in some cases and some of them aren't highly regarded on any level. But I do enjoy them all.

The 2D animation looks fine but mixed with the live action but looks "messed up" I'm every way possible.

I like Chloë? But she really feels like she just phoned it in. She's just flat, without emotion, and seems like she's acting without anyone else in the same room to interact with. Of course her last picture, Shadow In The Cloud was just a huge disappointment, even though I waited months to see it.

Pre pandemic I went to theater weekly for at least one or two movies but was largely surprised this movie came mostly out of the blue. It seems like it was hastily written, shot, edited and dumped in theaters and HBO MAX (same day).

Honestly I wasn't expecting anything but was happy to see a new feature film during th pandemic from a major studio like Warner Brothers, who has produced the majority of my favorite movies over my lifetime. What I got here with Tom and Jerry was just a huge disappointment.

Moments into the film it was just flat, not funny, and simply not interesting. This coming from someone who grew up with them and to this day still greatly enjoys animated (or mixed animated and live action) films (and televisions).

I wouldn't recommend it even for background while you're on your phone.

Sadly, it's massive disappointing. Especially even form Michael Peña, who largely plays the same persona in most movies (limited range), but is very enjoyable to watch. Here even he is not the same.

This likely would never have been a largely popular movie but it could have been so much better. Warner Bros and especially Warner Animation seems to be on a largely downfall lately ; look at the Scooby movie that was also put out, but before all pandemic restrictions that Tom and Jerry had to deal with.

Sigh.

Home Alone 2, with Rob Schneider's even though it's not animated in anyway way is far more enjoyable.

Promised "Something" - Delivered Nothing
24 February 2021
Short: too much was compromised and this could have been a huge sleeper I would want to watch over and over. I watch tons of movies, many horrible. I regret seeing this and don't want to watch it again. Read on below if you wish.

You're average superhero movie is more believe than this.

Sure it's a movie so you likely need suspend disbelief. Be they not only ask you to suspend more than 100%. It's a war movie that goes full throttle into fantasy.

CHLOË Is an okay actress. I've enjoyed some of here work. But it's like the director had no idea what to tell her and CHLOË lost focus or was given mixed direction.

The movie tries to mix too many varied styles that don't work together.

What's with the antagonist. Sure I get how it fits into the time and theme. But why it's obsession with things. It's like they were trying to say something but all the bridging scenes ended up on the cutting room floor.

Then there's the whole subplot and trying to make something out of the protagonist. It's clear what they're trying to do; but they just went totally overboard with it as if they wanted to ram it down your throat at any costs. They could have made the same message without overdoing it.

Then there's all the weird cut scenes.

The vastly limited sets / locations like it's a one act play it they were given the smallest budget possible. I can almost see that after paying CHLOË most of their (limited) budget was gone and they had nothing left.

I can see how they want to have a main plot and a supporting, but different subplot; but the movie is more like a mash up of two different movies they tried to smash together.

I could see this having been so much better if the writing wasn't seeming butchered and the director confused as to what they really wanted to say, or even how they could convert it.

Watered Down Blum Content
22 February 2021
Pretty much everything TV wise from Blum productions is watered down dribble.

Slow, boring, nothing really happens. I'm not talking like in a good Hitchcock kind of way.

It's not just this episode, but basically the entire Into The Dark series. More so Blum's entire TV productions.

His studio really need focus on the major motion pictures that made him popular instead of trying to crank out watered down content with his name on it.

Mills Fan - This Does Nothing For Me
17 February 2021
I love Resident Evil and enjoy watching Milla's films going all the way back to Fifth Element and other early stuff.

Pacing is slow. Nearly no story expect what they give you in the intro. Not enough supporting cast throughout the movie; too much time with just the main two characters. Too much time "bonding" and not nearly enough action. Too much of the dialogue is cliche.

Effects are great.

Poor Direction Hurts - Could Have Been Better
1 February 2021
Set in the 80's. Beginning is reminiscent of "Heavy Metal Parking Lot"; seriously look it up. Concept is fresh. So notable actors give good performances. The problem here is the directing let's it all done.

Ehh, okay for background movie.
17 January 2021
The best part of the whole movie is robot soldiers.

Action is okay.

Acting is okay.

Locations feel "fake". Like that Russian training base in Expendables. Or more realistically it just looks like movie sets. It doesn't seem real.

The whole movie just has this vibe that just feels off. It's like they hired decent people, and had a decent budget. But maybe the director had no idea what they were doing or something.

There is no emotion or feeling it is. It's kind of just "flat", or something.

Forced & Shaky.
30 December 2020
The director seems to think they are smart and artsy or something. They seem to be going for a certain "feel" for the film but it's just a mash of various styles that don't fit and it just falls apart.

The camera work is just horrible. Again this likely at the request of the directer. Long shot as, weird angles, plenty of close-ups, and lots of really annoying shaking camera.

The actors dialog is forced. They're movements likewise. Nothing here feels natural.

The page is slow. Nothing to keep you interested. You keep wondering what the heck is supposed to be going on, but at the same time don't really care either.

Missing Mindy
26 December 2020
It's not the same without Mindy Cohn. It's also unclear why Mindy isn't involved she publicly stated that at the minimum Kate Micucci and herself would be sharing voicing duties, instead of Mindy doing it 100%, for some reason.

Nothing against Kate as I enjoy her voice work elsewhere and her live acting. But Mindy is the closest to the original casting and has it down. Kate comes across as wrong for a number of reasons.

Otherwise it's nice to see a Scooby sequel; let alone on a modern version of a classic story.
