Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story (2023)
A great binge for a rainy days.
So different but so much more realistic than the first two seasons . After personally having been married more than thirty years I can honestly say this season addresses many of the trials and tribulations real marriages can suffer. And shows how love can overcome and conquer what tries to destroy it. Separating ones self from love for duty aligns with the sacrifices one must sometimes make in a marriage.
Thank goodness we no longer are in such a habit as concealing our meanings with vague conversation as in the show.
Great casting, I felt as if I was watching actual younger versions of the main characters.
I couldn't stop myself from crying at the end!
Tulsa King (2022)
Stallone at his best!
I've never been a Stallone fan. But he is excellent in this series. He stretches his acting abilities and while still a "tough" guy the writing shows a softer side of his abilities in a character type not usually portrayed by him.
Watching an out of the game mobster start over and find people outside of the "family" he cares about makes this series a must watch. I was hooked from the start and while it does have a measure of violence I was happy to see it was not so over the top as so many shows today are. When all the strife comes to a head you're just starting to believe Dwight is going to make it all work until betrayal rears it's head.
Soupçons (2004)
Lived this case through the news.
I live in the Durham area and remember following this case day by day. I'd always thought Mr Peterson guilty but saw a totally new perspective through this documentary. Very well made in real time! So interesting. You see the case through the eyes of Mr Peterson and the defense counsel as it unfolds.
