Interesting Tale, But not a purely scary flick
3 February 2017
Warning: Spoilers
This is the tale we all know from the first two films. Watch a tape and you die in 7 days. That's where this starts out and we follow along with the characters as the story unfolds. Except for the little twist in the plot. The tape changes with the lead character having seen it she receives a mark on her hand on the first day instead of the 5th. The new tape is played and no one watches but the main heroine. This story is a little different with churches, burning bodies, etc. So she and her boyfriend are off to find out why the story is different, searching to set Zamora free. The eventually find out who is Zamora's real mother and father and are able to set her to rest by burning her bones. Only problem, the heroine has been marked and for a reason. As she pulls the fish line out of her mouth, her boyfriend begins to decode the markings. At the same time, she realizes her mark has turned to loose skin that comes off and she has Zamora like skin underneath. Meanwhile, the video of the new film that was digitized and put on computer begins copying itself and sending to all email addresses that are stored in the email program. As her boyfriend tries to stop it, he realizes that the marking spells something ominous, it spells rebirth, and his girlfriend has become Zamora for a new generation.

Interesting Story of Failure turning into success by kroc
23 January 2017
Warning: Spoilers
an interesting movie that shows us the trials and tribulations of the man that founded the nationwide franchising of mcdonald's, a burger joint in san Bernardino. It is interesting watching Keaton shine as ray kroc who went from down on his luck milkshake mixing machine salesman, to the individual that franchised and began the mcdonald's chain. His contentious relationship with the brothers McDonald shows the interesting relationship between the people who thought of the total concept of mcdonald's and the person who took that concept and turned it into a household name. In the end, Ray Kroc wins and the brothers are put out of businesses with the store that they created with a buyout of 1.35 million dollars and a handshake agreement for 1% of sales. The handshake agreement is never paid and the men lose out on what would have been 100 million in royalties per year. Who do you credit, the men who thought and started the first restaurant, or the man that franchised the model and began leasing property to franchisees to make big profits?? Whoever you credit, it is an interesting tale of failure and success that make this a somewhat enjoyable film.

Alien 3 (1992)
Assembly Cut is Definitely the Way to Go!
3 October 2011
2003 version of the film is an excellent change of pace from the theatrical version. It added a lot of the ominous feeling of the first, while keeping the action of the second. I believe the theatrical cut was a little to contrite;basically get on the roller-coaster and push to the end credits. This version of the film is more of an experience, you enjoy and experience the film. The only negative I would say is the lack of depth in Weaver's portrayal of Ripley. Making of Alien 3 is an excellent disc included in the set. It's amazing that such a great cut was presented to Twentieth Century Fox in 1991, and was adjusted for logistical reasons, playtime, etc. The original film was truly perfect, not bad for a first time director with his first major motion picture.
