The Nest (Il nido) (2019)
From Italy? For real?
Yes, the authors and director are clearly influenced by M. Night Shyamalan: the girl running outside the door is a cut and past from The Visit.
But I think that this is OK. If you want emulate, emulate the best!
This is an Italian film. I'm so happy to see a work like this. It is so well packaged. Just some horrorific action more and it could be outstanding.
Zombies appears just for some seconds but I appreciate how they move and that faces are very impressive. Not so well the cliché "shot in their head".
Hope to see a new work from this director. With more action, a little bit more original and more horror. Please, try yo scare me!
Mom and Dad (2017)
Not a great film
I like horrors and Mr. N. Cage. So this film was in top of my list.
This film is 90% about two peoples which try to kill other two people. That's it.
This part would be also ok but there's nothing new and nothing shocking.
10% is about an idea, a reason which is not explained. Not even a bit. You are pushed to watch the entire film to see what happens (ok) and overall WHY (not ok).
Dishonest.
There isn't so much blood and slash scenes. You will be not scared by this film...
I haven't appreciate the music and the direction but this is my personal taste.
Cage has a very good performance.
I don't feel to suggest you to watch this film.
Koe no katachi (2016)
A deep analysis about how people are and how people can change
This movie is so mature. The movie deals with more mature topics as you can say at the end.
1) how bullying can have a bad influence on a guy/girl, but also that for a children to act as a bully it's a reaction to what he cannot understands or what is so far from him, so different.
A 9yo child can be wicked without being it for real.
2)how a child grows changing his mind, his point of view whereas other school mates don't.
3) How it's so difficult to relate with other people or be accepted for a disabled guy
4) How depression can push yourself to give your life away with a suicide.
And so more... as you can see this movie drive you to think about all the film.
The direction is wonderful. You can clearly understand what character are feeling.
Why you are here to read, go to see the masterpiece!
