A Scanner Darkly (2006)
Not to be missed, I got more from the movie the second viewing
I don't know if I can write ten lines about this movie. I do know that I could watch it ten times. I do feel the movie does serve a purpose in that it is a viable alternative to taking drugs and a lot cheaper also. I have seen the movie twice and I thought it was excellent, say what you will and you will probably be right. I think this movie can be many things to many people. I plan to see it again tonight. I got more from the movie the second time I viewed it and suspect I will get even more the third time. For me it was like watching a comic book come to life. The characters and the acting was superb. Each actor brought the characters to life. I had never heard of Philip K. Dick and I was unfamiliar with the subject matter prior to seeing the movie. I was just looking for a movie to watch and decided on something I knew nothing about, and was I surprised.

The Cardinal (1963)
A Fantastic Movie
This movie made quite an impact on me when I first saw it at the Olympia Movie Theater here in Miami. I have it on VHS (which is of poor Quality) and on Laserdisc which is fantastic and now DVD which is superb. Much has been said about Otto Preminger's directing style, however he sure got what he was going after. I believe The Cardinal should have received more academy awards.
Pepe (1960)
A delightful family movie
I have fond memories of this movie. I remember along with my brother Alan, begging our parents to take us to the drive-in to see Pepe. I don't know anyone who did not like Cantinflas. With the advent of DVD, I don't know why this title has not surfaced.
