Out of Office (2022 TV Movie)
3/10
Awful. Don't waste your time.
6 September 2022
No plot, bad acting, feels like an overlong sitcom episode or a backdoor pilot for a potential series. The characters do nothing to move it along. Ken Jeong is especially grating and nowhere close to funny in this. Jason Alexander is present, but gets too little time and has nothing to do when he's on screen. Milana Vayntrub of "Lily AT&T" fame is somewhat miscast as the lead, would be better as a supporting character. This suffers from lack of story and bad acting all around. Don't bother watching, it's nothing more than another Comedy Central attempt to get a series and capitalize off a few 'names'.

Seinfeld: The Trip: Part 1 (1992)
Season 4, Episode 1
9/10
Beginning of the breakout!
2 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Seinfeld Season 4 was the best of the show, and it starts off with a bang, continuing off the cliffhanger of Season 3's "The Keys", where Kramer vanishes for Hollywood after an argument with Jerry.

After re-watching the first 3 seasons leading up to this, and continuing through Season 6, I can safely say this is where the show finds its direction - there were funny episodes and attempts to get the show an identity, but a multi-episode arc was needed and it delivers. Kramer comes out of his shell completely, and really takes off from here, and it all starts with him getting out of the house and leaving the recluse life behind.

Jerry and George going to Hollywood segues nicely into the NBC offer for the pilot, and George manages to get mentioned on the Tonight Show, but not in the way he would like.

The sad part is the lack of Elaine, but understood in retrospect as Julia Louis-Dreyfus was pregnant for much of the season.

From here, you see the show really grow and become the massive hit we all come to know and love, but it wouldn't have happened without "The Keys", and "The Trip, Parts I and II"

The Magical World of Disney: Ask Max (1986)
Season 31, Episode 5
7/10
Fun 80's TV movie
3 June 2020
This was a great movie as a kid, more relatable than most. If you invented something and got paid a bunch of money for it, who wouldn't do the things Max did? And to 'freub' the earlier reviewer, the name of the movie you are looking for is The B.R.A.T. Patrol. It aired the week before this one in 1986 on the Magical World of Disney. Chris Carter (of X-Files fame) was the writer and Sean Astin (LOTR, Rudy) was the star. Hope that helps!
