La Brea (2021)
Ok
I just started watching this. It has its moments. Sometimes it's theater of the absurd. It's so bad it's good. Other times it's questionable at best. I'm 6 episodes in, the jury's still out.
Black Widow (2021)
Huh
Short and simple, I could've wrote this. Do yourself a favor, watch it in 3D. The 3D visuals overshadow the plot. It looks like ScarJo mailed it in.
The Prodigy (2005)
OK, it helps that I used to work with one of the actors
I used to work with Glen Vorhis. He was a supervisor of mine at one point in time. He did not tell a lot of people he was an actor. He gave me a DVD of The Prodogy. He told me there was a lot of gifts given to the movie. There is a million dollar green screen effect that they had done for listing in the credits, I believe. the whole movie is intense. The villain comes across as a more intense version of Jason. The shoot outs are realistic, and the action is gripping. I could see who they might have cast, if they had the money. Granted, I only saw this movie because Glen gave me a copy, but I also never saw that side of Glen. He always came across as mild mannered. Great movie.
Fast Food Nation (2006)
This movie will disturb 90-95% of those who see it.
However, I am one of the 5-10% it won't. I have worked 15 years in the food service industry, 12 of it in fast food. The entire movie seems to center on it. From personal experience, restraunts go for the lowest food cost. There lies the meat packing plant using "undocumented workers" Also the interactions in the restaurant, I forget the name. I have heard the rob the store conversation three times in 12 years. Twice attempted, and one time successful. This movie really does not even scratch the surface of the fast food industry. If the average person really knew what goes on, unseen to the customer, you would never walk into one again. However it is mildly entertaining, but I know what really goes on.
