The Baby-Sitters Club (1990)
Wasn't terrible
It certainly wasn't Ready Or Not or Flash Forward, but the Baby-Sitter's club series wasn't awful either.
Though the show didn't use story lines from the books, the actors more then made up for it. They may have looked a little older then they were portraying, but they hardly looked any older then the girls that portrayed the characters in the awful movie that followed.
I do believe that Ann M Martin was happy with this series as compared to the movies. She may have made more money with the movie, but the series; to me anyway was more realistic and more age appropriate.
I do wish they had stuck more to the plots of the actual books, but I understand that they may have wanted to try a different route to draw in more readers.
The Baby-Sitters Club (1995)
Worst Movie Ever
This movie was horrible. Forget the cheesiness and campiness, the fact that they turned Stacey into a lying little witch so she could get Luka was just pathetic. And Kristy's father coming to town wasn't until the bio books on the girls, not the series itself.
With the exception of Larissa and Rachel, the actors were horrible. They should have kept to the actual books and not just changed everything.
They should have brought in the actors from the TV series as they were better. Karen, Hannie, and Nancy should have been included, as well as Sam and Charlie, Charlotte Johannsen (NOT Rosie Wilder!) Jeff, Becca, and Mary Anne did NOT have short hair!
A Son's Promise (1990)
A Great and touching movie
This movie is a good one. Rick Schroder is very believable as Terry. A Boy who had to become a Man all too soon. I highly recommend this movie. This is a story of a promise that a seventeen year old boy made to his dying mother, the promise of keeping his brothers' together. This movie made me cry. This is one of Rick Schroder's best performances in my opinion. I hope people watch this movie, as it was very good. A Son's Promise is a movie that hopefully will be around for a while. And hopefully everyone who watches this agrees with me. I give this movie a ten. I'd stop typing but there has to be ten lines of text lol.
Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990)
Greatest Show of the 90's!
I loved this show when it first came out.
Brandon, Brenda, Kelly, Steve, Donna, David, Andrea, and Dylan, eight characters with one thing in common, they were best friends.
I loved the Brenda years, they were the best and I honestly didn't like Valerie when she came on simply because she was Brenda's replacement.
Once the characters graduated from High School it went downhill but I still watched it, mainly because I was in love with Luke Perry at the time lol.
After Andrea left I was really mad, she was my favorite female character other than Brenda and I related to her the most.
I hated Kelly, and Donna was too ditzy for me. Not to mention the fact that I can't stand Tori Spelling because the only reason she even got the part was because her daddy produced the show.
I loved the Erica storyline and always thought they should have explored that more, Dylan and Erica were great together. Noley Thornton was perfect as Erica and made the show a little more interesting.
I hated when they brought Erica back as a hooker, that was just wrong and was a insult to Noley in my opinion.
The only good thing about the later years was when David and Donna finally got married, it was about time!
My favorite characters were Brenda, Andrea, Brandon, David, Dylan, and Steve.
I do hope one day they make a TV movie and if nothing else at least give us another wedding, hopefully Brenda and Dylan, and Kelly and Brandon.
All in all, the show was great in the early and mid 90's, but it should have stopped after Season 7.
Beverly Hills, 90210: 10-Year High School Reunion (2003)
I liked it but it could have been better
I liked the reunion, however I was disappointed that they made it as a documentary rather than an actual movie about their high school reunion, I would have rather they made a Beverly Hills 90210 High School Reunion Movie like they did with Growing Pains.
I was the hugest 90210 fan in the past, however when Shannen left I thought the entire show lost it's edge. I loved the Brenda/Dylan/Kelly triangle and would have loved to see more of it.
I was really upset that Brian wasn't there, granted I don't like Tori Spelling and never will I kind of wished she was there too because I liked her character even though I didn't like her.
