A remake? Not even needed

Oh! Come on. Stop saying that. This is not 8 thottakal not even close. All those classic scenes from movie where not even there. I was waiting for that money throwing scene.

Siddique was supposed to be a protagonist the story should revolve around him and his family. Why he become like that and this is not even a simple revenge against another cop. In original also Shane Nigam character was rookie and behaves like rookie not as smart a**.

Went with much expectation. Funny I was expecting a better version than the original. Ms baskar was class as an old man failed in his life and he nailed his character really well. I can't stop comparing but Ms baskar was much better.

This movie was just like pazhampori and beef combination.

Thunivu (2023)

A director from whom I expected more. Sadhuranga Vettai and Theeran were excellent. He told the movie goers see I got stuff. I expected more wanted more from him. But with Valimai the expectations become below par for Thunivu. Not the kind of movie I expect from Vinoth. Looks like he got stuck in big star Vortex. Thankfully the pain is over. Looks like Vinoth was held at gun point and asked to "do a movie or you die".

Thunivu was very lame atleast in Valimai he got his craft partially. Ajith very sorry to see his state. Veeram, Vedhalam, Vivekam lost in the Siva triology. I thought Vinoth will make him revamp but I guess the problem is with the actor itself. 0 expectations for the Ajith movies going forward.

Nna, Thaan Case Kodu (2022)

Funny, Witty and all round performance.

Nna thaan case kodu is a complete package not only from chackochan but also all the other characters. Oh man that magistrate was a stand out who nailed the character extremely well. This is the chackochan's first movie I am watching after pullipuliyum aatinkuttiyum.

At the climax I thought how good it would if this can happen in real life. Cabinet approval for sueing the minister, Minister to be made responsible for his department irregularities not some personal staffs.

Kaduva (2022)

This guy Kuruvachan fight with every policemen for two and half hours and makes us tired. Gives unnecessary advice to one policeman which irritates him and he asks his mother to change her word for a silly piano. When he was young gives good beating to one policeman and policeman's son comes to take revenge. Hope next part future x IGs son will come for revenge along with the son of Policeman who got beating in this part to take revenge for beating his father and grandfather.

1. I can understand the Nayana's weird non speaking behavior being affected by a ice candy seller. But who killed those cats? Why she was hiding there?

2. I assume that small girl ran back to her house from Nayana's after getting scared to her hanging cat in that dingy room. So Nayana's grandfather is doing all this and he is not in good terms with Nayana. Questions and questions

3. Karthik's Step father plot. Didn't reach any conclusion. At least here we can conclude that the music college going to be only a dream for Karthik and he has to survive with his abusive step father

One thing I like in this unlike most other movies where the psycho chases whoever did wrong to him and finish them one by one overpowering the Hero who is or works with the Psycho's Preys that too carefully without causing any harm to other good souls

This Kishore dont have such principles he is a rare psycho we rarely see in our movies. His preys already got instant Karma. So what he does he starts chasing the bike owner which is the cause for all his loses. If You Own that bike you Die! As simple as that. That too a slow death. The bike owners younger one dies first then the Owner. There is no good soul or small child compassion he shows.

This Kishore Psycho did ticked some check boxes in proper Psycho Profile of Ripper Ravi's(Indrans in Ancham Pathira).

Flawed like title

Any other masala movies I dont care but Expect thriller or investigation movies to be water tight.

I really don't like Anoop Menon as actor mostly because he tries to present himself with his bhuddhi jeevisque look and dialogue. After some movies it become a cliche for me. I thought initially that director didnt allow him do it here and still there are some glimpses in this movie as well and the unwarranted dialogue from him relating the title(which again a flawed theory) prooved me wrong again.

While coming to the story it didn't work for me.

When they mourn for their daughter I know they are going to link to major plot. Only question left for me was what exactly happened to their daughter.

DNA profiling can be done using bones, teeth to identify deceased. Even in some extreme fire teeth and bones remains for genetic fingerprinting.

Forensic Facial Reconstruction can be done with Skull

It is not any extreme fire and to convince us We are not shown or told the method how exactly the body was charred like that.

Killer is roaming in Contessa car, he is everywhere nothing from police to identify the car that too in the kalamaserry area there is not a Single CCTV footage, the car looks very odd. Public will easily notices it

So many fillers in the first half to stretch the movie. Insufficient content to stretch 2 hours 13 mins.

There is sincereity from Director. But however Director thought that anyway we are surprising audience with the twist in the climax what more is needed and that worked to(not for me). It became a sleeper hit.

One set of spoiled brats cause issue at temple festival and another lone brat at a marriage. One of the brats from the gang and lone brat already met at the beginning of the movie and got into fight.

They again meet at the temple and get into a fight at temple festival and spoil the whole festival this is the story of aja gaja or whatever,told to us along with so many serial lights and special effects.

Pada (2022)

Pada is based on real life incident of collectorate coup happened in Palakkad during 1996. The group who calls themselves Ayankali pada made the government machinery stand still for 9 hours with the demand to with the demand to withdraw tribal bill passed in legislative assembly.

Director doesn't divert anywhere and show us what was really happened. There are no surprise elements except the one in the revealed at the end. So keep your expectations low. If you are a person who knows already or if you have read all these somewhere regarding what happened in 1996 better stay away there is nothing left for you in theatres.

The problem with the movie you will be expecting something big to happen but nothing happens at all but at the end of the movie a news reel with snippets tells us why this kind of movies should be made.

There is not much change for them in these 25 years, be it left or right.

Heavily inspired or copied? From Tsotsi South African. Decent attempt. When they showed Ameer initially with macho hero BGMs thought we are Doomed. But no honest attempt.

Started noticing LJP after Amen what seemed to be a regular movie a love story poor boy vs rich girl, the boy trying to restore pride of his family and music troupe, just regularish difference in treatment and ends with bang. Then we get a guy ritche type a "Dud Barrel" then hit the right notes with with ee.ma.yow and jellikattu. Skipped angamali diaries as i didnt like as it spend lot of time to take to pick up after boti recipes.

In churuli what we get two undercover cops coming to search for a accussed to a village in Kasargod. Plain and Simple is it? But not.

-Once the villagers cross the border plates are turned. Cops are servants in a Arrack shop

-Villagers talks about Americans carrying Aliens in a jeep. Arrack shop turns to church.

-One of the cops see the mysterious figures, mysterious machine in a house, yellow fireballs UFO kinda stuff?

-The innocent seem cop, like some villagers said "you are familiar to me" become "one of them" and sodomonize a boy.

• A pedophile old man.

• Finally they catch (villagers allowed them to) Mayiladumpara Joy and end up in time loop?

The whole churuli is equal parts mystifying and confusing, and an explanation almost doesn't do it justice. The film doesn't really have a genre, as it deals with so many different kinds of elements - it has a bit of sci-fi, some mystery, thriller, drama and lots and lots of curses.

So what?

Taste is subjective.

Loopholes logicless

Thriller movies logic had better be watertight. But this one leaks all over.

One basic thing autopsy report cant be decided by one doctor. After 2012 usually most of the autopsies for rape will be accompanied by female doctor. In a city like Hyderabad in a student rape there will be one for sure. Forensic police have to collect the swabs and other samples. There should be circumstantial evidence. Nothing is shown to the viewers. In reality kuzhandai will be jail for tampering/falsifying evidence.

• Cringe hacking scenes.

• Miscast tamannah. I felt like she is forcefully bringing facial expressions. Bad dubbing as well.

When people say disappointed with climax yes they have every right when we are more into the cinematic universe we were taught to plot twist sudden rise of a macho hero. But this movie is made of flesh and blood ends abruptly explaining nothing much to the viewers. Well what is left to explain anyway?

For every sachin vazes with BMWs there are hundreds of Maniyans who were/will made scapegoats to oil political machinery. They are just puppets of the system. Once the votes entered in the Ballot box jaffer iddukki says "its not my business anymore, I will say to the press I was ill informed" it means the hunters now will be hunted.

Average venture but looks like a very good onemainly because of Vijay's recent ventures like Bigil, Mersal Vageras. Not sure period of the movie. One have to think characters are in the era of bullet train or hyperloop. Characters have making multiple Nagerkovil to Chennai trips in a 2 hour movie

One thing I liked is the famous tamil movie character are placed, no not the cringe worthy one vijay repeats throughout the movie. The characters like Thulukkanam the jailor from Mahanadhi movie by Shankar, Nammavar movie Selvam kamal reference by Naseer..

Archer Andriah was told "you drive the car" by hero after couple of shots showing her skills. It could have been better if the director asked vijay to do both driving and archery. Can't even spare 10 minutes to other characters? Thankfully this is not another Petta for Sethupathy. He got enough screen space

I have read the book around 2009 and when it got man booker it also got a fair amount of criticism for showing India in badlight. Whenever I saw this book in the shelf I was wondering why a movie has not been made which it deserves. Finally it happened in 2021. I felt the white tiger as a movie was some what rushed and all things happened very quickly but thankfully this adaptation doesn't spoil the books reputation either. A good watch

Glorious movie of the decade

This Movie was released during a Pongal. Had to over power crowd to get the tickets and was dumb struck by visuals, screenplay and non stereotypical variety. Not only that, it pushed me to learn more about these two rival kingdoms. But very unfortunate that many don't know their own history and viewers expect the director to "TELL everything instead of SHOW" The end result- movie which is supposed to be celebrated as the movie of the decade ended up as an average Venture. Feel sorry for the poor taste of the viewers at that time for this movie being ended up as Glorious Flops and celebrated now. But Its too Late.

Anwar Rasheed's Trance written by Vincent Vadakkan tears apart the evalengical centers which is a solid first half. In the second half writer lost the track and movie starts wobbling.

In the days of multiple trailers and teasers the trance didn't reveal much. Well who wants their movie to run into controversies. Then the censorship delays. Fortunately director didn't budge for cuts and went to Mumbai for recertification from Trivandrum.

Fidget Spinner is a common thing nowadays with that tracing back the old criminal didn't impress me.

How do they conclude the 2 suspects death suicide? No ballistics report? With the ballistics forensics they could have easily found third person in the house.

Vintage Rajini from 90s seen in First half but the second half stretches and tests patience.

Don't waste time on this movie. Movie just for Vijay's political stunt that also half baked. Outdated fight scenes. Melodramatic Vijay in so many places charming in some places. Yogibabu can add acted with Vijay in CV, wasted in this. Why Heroine required? There is a sequence in movie where Hero lectures on BRANDING. Well, the production team have done it nice branding but only thing this one doesn't worth our money

Misguided by the rating watched this movie. Too predictable and better to remove this movie from thriller genre. Even a primary school kid will tell that both Mammootty and his brother plotting together, noway they are going be against each other.

This movie survived only because other more non sensical movies of Mammootty in recent times-except Peranbu.
