Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019)
Pretty good
Cons:
Let's not kid ourselves, the dialogue in this movie is horrible.
*Human* characters are forgetable and pretty much invulnerable to anything except when they are supposed to die.
Also the action goes back and forth from the kaijus fighting to the humans..Stop doing this. Nobody cares about the human characters!!!!
Pros:
BUT this is Godzilla and everything else is top notch. Godzilla is top notch in this movie.
The music is amazing, especially in some moments.
Visuals are stunning and the monsters look amazing.
Ghidorah is amazing.
Not sure: There are some elements borrowed from the anime on Netflix. Like Ghidorah being an interdimensional being and Godzila/The Kaijus being a force of nature that are supposed to restore balance to Earth.
Not sure if these are general Godzilla facts or they just borrowed from the Anime.
I don't mind them though.
Solid movie if you can ignore the human element in the movie and you should :D
Castlevania (2017)
First season is good...
While short the first season is quite good and I initially give it 8 star rating.
Season1:
A short and concise narrative story of the surroundings, the state of the world, what triggered the war and all the characters.
Was really good and with stunning animation and a lot of detail put into it.
The pronunciation of the names and cities is terrible but I can forgive that though and it didn't stopped me from enjoying of the show.
Solid 8/10
Season2:
Longer. Way longer than it supposed to be.
Dracula doesn't do anything all the show except for the climax of the show which is one episode.
He is bored out of his mind and in almost every scene he's sitting down not doing anything and just talking as it's just filler content. It's really bizarre.
The rest of the show consists of bickering vampires talking and talking and the main characters walking and reading, not doing anything. A bit of backstory for the newer characters, which is barely interesting.
Oh and SJW vampires! Blaming the Vampire patriarchy.
There's also a drop in quality of the details and backgrounds.
Just terrible.
2/10
Mugen no jûnin (2017)
Rin screams her lungs out. 10/10
Fairly decent movie.
There are some inconsistencies between this and the anime but that didn't bother me that much.
And the anime is not that great to begin with.
It's an enjoyable watch in the end.
What I didn't like:
Manji's relationship with Rin is very basic. They almost never interact after the introduction scene.
Rin screams. A lot.
