Bhoot Police (2021)
Entertaining
Worth a watch. Amazing quirky one liners by Saif Ali Khan.
Few of them will just crack you up.
Regular Bollywood Horror story, nothing innovative on the plot, however it's pretty entertaining overall.
Dark Places, Deadly Illusions (2021)
Nice Drone Shots
Camera work was captivating, I was illusioned into watching this incompetence of a Script writer.
Night on Earth (2020)
I blame David Attenborough for ruining this for me.
I've seen better. The narration is far too abysmal to highlight an experienced competitive narrator and script writer.
Tamasha (2015)
How was the story. You didn't like the end? Let's change it. It's your story.
Imtiaz Ali's most complex work. Although, it's only a story of a boy, who listened stories from a man who sat under a tree and narrated him so many tales that sometimes he got confused himself which tale he was referring to.
Tamasha begins in Corsica. Ved meets a Tara, who after spending 7 days with him knows more about him than himself. Even than his family or his friends. Because - Ved wasn't allowed to be himself when he was with his family and was a 'robot' (metaphorically, depicted enough number of times in the movie) permitted to be polite, humble and be a person who has an acceptable behavior when in a social setting.
Tara and Ved had decided not to reveal each others identity while in Corsica, because they can be anyone when they're not in their own "worlds".
Tamasha ends with Ved performing a "Shastaang Pranaam" to his guru Tara, who was instrumental in bringing out the real storyteller that he is.
This movie is filled with layers, with a non chronological storytelling, often misunderstood, or rather too complex for the 'run of the mill' movie audience. It has achieved a cult status like an Eternal Sunshine, and a fan following unmatched to any other romantic, psychological classic.
THIS MOVIE IS A MASTERPIECE. AND YOU JUST CANT GET ENOUGH OF IT.
Did you find your Teja ka khajana?
Ship of Theseus (2012)
Say no more!
Okay. Here goes.
Anand Gandhi, take a bow. You had me in tears!
I lost myself when Aliya got eyes back. A part of me when they took him in a bamboo stretcher (although I thought they will burn him without his 'consent', won't that be an irony), and I felt "that's what exactly I'd do, when Naveen went to Stockholm to find the man who took Shankar's kidney".
The end tore me down! I can relate to this movie so much. And each and every frame is so brilliantly crafted. From Aliya's painting to Maitreya
's journeys to Naveen's expedition from Mumbai slums to Stockholm's homes. Long cuts, perfect sound as well as background score, this movie is marvellous.
This movie speaks to my soul. Although you had me in the second arc, i must say, it was a treat to see the climax!
Thanks!
Death Note: Desu nôto: Chinmoku (2007)
Couldn't believe
I couldn't believe what I saw. This episode is by far the most bizzare episode in the series. You never see it coming.
Ex Machina (2014)
Westworld ruined it for me
I have seen Westworld, all the seasons. This movie was literally first grade as compared to what Jonathan Nolan has done with WW
Vivarium (2019)
Humours, Scary, Intense.
The opening scene is the plot of the movie.
A cuckoo lays eggs in another birds nest, for raising its offspring.
The movie (maybe) depicts an alien invasion.
Tom and Gemma are kept in a vivarium-an enclosed environment with semi-natural conditions for the purpose of observation, maybe a simulator of sorts.
Tom and Gemma never really see the people who have kept them there but they still get supplies almost every day. Moreover, during the second half of the film, Tom obsesses over digging a hole in his garden and eventually ends up finding a dead body in it.
Once they've raised the alien, they die. That's it.
One Strange Rock (2018)
How to ruin the most wonderful experience with over exaggeration.
A perfect example of how not to make a documentary.
