Not terrible but not great either

As a fan of the Supernatural series I was hyped to watch this prequel knowing Jensen Ackles was involved and that it might have those same qualities that made the original show so cool. So far I'm not seeing the same quality of show that Supernatural was. The acting is pretty stiff, the chemistry isn't there between characters, some are actually annoying. The effects are cheesy. The whole thing seems kind of boring. I really don't see how viewers are giving this a 10/10 rating and saying they are surprised how good it is. Have they not seen the original series ? I hope it gets better, Supernatural fans deserve better.

I like the whole "found footage" genre of horror movies and thought I'd give this film a viewing with hopes it was as good as others I've seen. It was not....at all. The road trip scenes were annoying, the 2 guys were attempting to be funny but I felt they came off obnoxious ( ex 15 min of fart jokes ) the interview scenes were boring and poorly acted. I didn't really see the point of the whole thing. At no point did I feel this was real found footage but rather a desperate copycat of others. Watch at your own risk.

Russell Crowe Makes This Movie

One of the few movies released in 2020 and although it isn't a very original storyline it's definitely worth a watch. Russell Crowe's performance as a road raging madman is done very convincingly. The action is fast paced and acting is decent. Not award winning cinema but it's good for a few thrills.

Promising storyline but falls flat

Brittany Murphy's last role before her tragic death and sadly it wasn't a very good end to her career. The storyline has interest but the production is pretty low budget, the supporting actors aren't very good and sadly the makeup and hair for Brittany makes her look unwell. The film is very much like Fractured starring Sam Worthington with a cheaper budget.

The Reliant (2019)

This film seems pretty amateurish and not much to make it stand out. The acting is stiff and the plot is boring. I think the crew of this movie are the ones rating it 10/10. Nobody would honestly think this movie is worth that praise. Don't waste your time on this preachy production !!

You (2018–2024)

A Perfectly Addictive Thriller

I heard some good hype about this Netflix series and decided to give it a watch and was immediately drawn into it. The cast is excellent and the main characters have great chemistry and the acting is superb. You can't help but get wrapped up in the story and liking the characters in it. I'm looking forward to more seasons since of course I binged through the ones available.

Definitely Worth a Watch

Sam Worthington stars in this thriller for Netflix and his acting is excellent as is most of the acting in this movie. My wife and I both enjoyed it, we found ourselves guessing what was going on during the whole time. Ignore the bad reviews on here, it's pretty good and I've seen some pretty bad movies that only wish they were as decent as this one.

Had heard the hype for this movie and how Jordan Peele was being called the next big thing in the horror genre. Went in with high expectations and thought it might be decent from the first few scenes. As the film progresses it starting getting odd and corny. Not scary but rather lame. Sorry to the cast who were decent actors.

This might be a teen kind of movie but I found it actually pretty enjoyable to watch. The acting is decent and the quality is surprisingly good. The humour had enough adult content to make us laugh. Give it a try.

At first glance I wasn't expecting much with this movie. I give lower budget movies a chance but usually end up turning them off before the end due to boredom or lack of decent acting or plot. This movie surprised me with decent acting, a steady enough plot and my desire to see the ending. Give it a watch, hopefully you'll be surprised too.

I like Melissa McCarthy movies usually, some more than others. The previews for Life of the Party looked like it had potential and the recipe looked hopeful. Unfortunately the laughs are few and far between. It comes off like a bad teen comedy at times. Hopefully her next outing returns her to her previous comedy gold.
