The Outer Limits: Bodies of Evidence (1997)
What a waste of talent
Wow, great talent, why couldnt they have given them more to work with? The actors and director get all the stars for this one. They obviously did the best they could with bad writing and plot development. Bet the Van Peeples were doing someone a favor!
The Outer Limits: Straight and Narrow (1996)
Outer Limits Gold
This is what we watch the series for. Awesome episode. Mini movie full of suspense, anxiety, and evil corporate undermindings, with brain implants into unsuspecting young men in a boarding school where their parents send them to "get with the program".
Excellent directing and acting. One of my favorites now!
The Outer Limits: Cry of Silence (1964)
What a hoot!
Awe come on, this was fun, ultimate low buget episode, great acting, like a good short stage play. Good acting with little to mothing to work with, gotta love Eddie Albert, and the ever flexible "lamont". Fun!
The Outer Limits: Final Appeal (2000)
Starstruck!
A casting gold medal is deserved here. Although the story is solid, i had a hard time getting over the multitude of amazing actors in one outer limits episode! I had to pause to check out the listed cast which was limited to 13. But, oh my! This has more iconic movie legends in one place than any of their many blockbuster histories! Wow! There were even uncredited snippets of Richard Thomas ( John Boy, the Waltons), Beau Bridges, hello! And thats not even the leading cast! This is the best ever Outer Limits episode ever cant wait to see the second half. Charlston Heston, Frank Longorria, Cisily Tyson, Swoosie Kurtz, oh my! Too many legends to list! This is something special!!!!
The Outer Limits: Revival (2000)
Gotta love Busey...
Not bad, Its the theatrics of the "Price is right" with a money driven evangelist who has lost his way and suddenly realizes that his "miracle" protege is somthing totally not of this world and not holy at all! He is tested and reminded of his how he chose his path and his faith and true calling to overcome this alien adversary.
The Outer Limits: Down to Earth (2000)
Fun!
Whats wrong with a little fun? Dont understand all the negativity.
Sometimes we all take ourselves way to seriously, its nice to have a little levity in this series that i love. This little snippet is like a fun little candy in a big box of dark chocolates.
Mute (2018)
Interesting and intriguing
I thought this film was fresh and different and enjoyed it immensely. The Berlin setting was nice instead of just another generic futurtopia where everybody amazingly speaks english!
The plot line was difficult to follow at times but what a payoff. Nice plot twists and very interesting character developments. I felt i knew most all the side players even "Herman the German" was awesome. I wanted to hug his massive neck.
The sets and special effects were great.
And casting was spot on. Skarsgard was excellent. Talk about a true test for an actor to be the lead in a 2 hr movie and only have 2 lines...
Well done, new fan of Netflix originals.
The Outer Limits: Seeds of Destruction (2000)
Not the best but watchable
I love my Outer Limits, but this one isnt the best. Its not sci-fi, its bad genetic altering of corn by a evil coporston. The rating is given not for the story but the excellent acting by Jessica Tuck and veteran actor Len Cariou (love him in anything he does)!
Going the Distance (2010)
bummer
I was very disappointed, to say the least. I admire all the actors and was looking forward to a fun movie. I found myself fast forwarding to get to scenes with the amazing supporting cast, as the lead characters banter was almost painful to watch. I like Justin Long, I just think he was miscast in this movie. Christina Applegate was fantastic. Actually the supporting cast is the only thing that made this watchable. I admire Drew Barrymore also and I know and Justin have or have had romantic ties, just did not feel the chemistry at all. This was pretty formulatic and I just haven't felt so let down by a movie with such a great cast in a long time. I pondered ejecting more than once. BUMMER!
