Take away the "Ganbate Ne and I can do it" factor

The premise wasn't anything new, but I wasn't looking for any ground breaking originality. It had a story, so simply tell it in an interesting and entertaining way, and I would've been happy. And, there were definitely good bits to it! So, it could have easily been a fine, enjoyable horror flick, but certain unnecessities like having an internal "I've had enough, so I'm gonna be courageous, ganbarimasu" emotion doesn't just give you an extra boost of power/energy, it turns you into a superhero, and it allows you to overcome any obstacle infront of you. Yes, I've heard of adrenaline, and it shouldn't take a long "John Snow standing in the battlefield moment to doubt yourself, then suddenly thinking of your friends generate the super soldier serum within you" to kick in.

Alice in Borderland (2020– )

How can you make something SO BORING?

I'm not knocking the story, premise, concept, production and etc... I've finished both seasons. And it has a lot of qualities that could've made it potentially good.

Some of the action sequences were actually pretty decent. Mix that with some of the games they played, it could have been quite entertaining.

The first thing that destroyed this series - it's dialogue. Stop talking!!! Yap, yap, yap. Everytime there is a game, the explanation took sooooo long. Then whenever anything drastic happens, somebody would blabb on and on and on and on...

Second, I don't expect the protagonist to be a super hero. But he is just the most pathetically written lead you could ever imagine. Give some of them long, boring, meaningless, never ending monologues to him, there you go - most unlikable character you can ever imagination.

Sweet Tooth (2021– )

Enjoyable but Not Wow

There seems to be a lot positive reviews about this series, and it rightfully deserves them. Production value-wise, it certainly is a treat. Overall, I enjoyed the show, but it is not exactly action paced, and definately not something that would keep you on the edge of your seat. Cinematography is beautiful, storytelling is great, and drama is solid. It should be a fun show for all ages.

Behind Her Eyes (2021)

Expecting it to be GREAT, but wasn't.

I have similar thoughts with many others. -slow pacing (that did not quite pay off) -acting/direction become a little soap opera-ish at times -its genre switch becomes its twist -certain events happened for the sake of plot progression. Therefore, the audience could not entirely get behind the motivation of certain actions of certain characters.

Superman & Lois (2021–2024)

Off to a Brilliant Start!

The pilot had a strong cinematic vibe to it. While it took on a more gritty/realistic tone, it didn't lose the light hearted superman spirit to it. You can say this is a CW Supergirl spinoff, but Superman and Lois is far superior to other Arrowverse shows in many ways. In the pilot alone, it was able to build up a few emotional scenes. I hope the quality of the show will continue for the rest of the season.

100% Wolf (2020)

Quite Enjoyable

I received free tickets to see this movie, so I gave it a shot. It is no masterpiece, and I certainly don't think I'm going to rewatch it. The animation wasn't exactly on par with the bigger studio's, but it isn't anywhere as bad as some reviews make it out to be. Overall, I found it rather fun and entertaining!

Boss Level (2020)

Pure Entertainment!

This was extremely entertaining! For a no brainer action packed flick, it had quite an interesting story to it. Not saying it has never been done before, but the story, the action, the humor, and the performance of the actors and actresses, lead to supporting, made this an absolutely enjoyable movie.
